Agree about Spikes, though I have mixed feelings about him, he is a prick, but he would be our prick.

Upton, easy...FYI, Katy Perry has already dated a western New Yorker.. Travie McCoy.

I call fake

I heard a "scout" say that he misses open WR, resulting in his scrambling like a chicken with it's head cut off. The scout continued saying it was more of a compliment to the OL and WR's conditioning. I'd pass...I think he's fun to watch, but may never be more than a immature sideshow.

Jairus Byrd [was Jarius Byrd]
frogger replied to Iowabillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we are reading this the wrong way, maybe Parker and Byrd are under the assumption he is going to make bigger money elsewhere...that's why I'd transition tag him, 5 year 50 million is a lot of money, I'm not sure he will find that anywhere else. When the best he gets offered is 4 for 34, he will be running back to western NY looking to sign the deal offered to him earlier. -
What will the Cleveland Browns do in the draft?
frogger replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only concern is the Vikings, they are already solid at tackle and lost Harvin last year, I could see them taking Watkins...or forgetting to hand in their pick. -
First release Kolb and Pears, adds about 6 million to the estimated 25 million Buffalo has in cap room. Re-sign Byrd to a 6 year 55 million dollar deal, load it so as the cap grows he is in balance. Re-sign Chandler, 3 year 7 million dollar deal. Reasonable, last year according to PFF only Witten and Davis were better at run blocking and had more yards. Re-sign Moats-he may start at ILB Let Carrington go to Cleveland in free agency. Sign-Rodger Saffold to play Tackle or LG. Sign-Willie Young-RE After Seattle releases TE Miller, scoop him up, he has been one of the most complete TEs in the NFL and on two different teams, 4 year deal worth 17 million. Draft 1. Evans WR-big strong WR, if Watkins and Mack are not there. 2-Kouandjio RT-horrible combine and injury concern, he slips to the 2nd...Saffold plays LG...if he's not and Martin or another projected guard is there, Saffold plays RT. 3-Skov ILB- if he's not there, I think Spikes will still be looking for work, I'd sign him, despite his tweets and draft Kareem Martin DE. 4-Desir CB- tall CB, athletic, Dime and depth. 5-7 BPA

I won't pretend to say I wouldn't, I dated a girl from Wales back when I was a 20 year old working part time at Disney, she was here as a part of the international thing they do, I will say this she was a giver and her accent made it even better, so yes, I would.

Let's wait til the 2nd for a WR...

Who trades up? -
Give me Jared Allen for 3 years, he's done it on two different teams and I hate subway commercials
-
Evans or Watkins, Evans height and arm length make him crazy intriguing. Cone drills are what really show where the seperation is.

Package Byrd and Hughes for a 1st and 4th to Cleveland...yeah I know it won't happen. -
At least for a minute... Release Kolb and Pears Trade Hughes to Cleveland, I'm not asking too much a 2014 3rd and a 2015 conditional 4th, he doesn't fit this system as much, he's on the last year of his rookie contract. This just makes sense for both teams. Collectively saves us about 10 million towards the cap. Re-sign Chandler and Moats, 2.4 a year for Chandler and 1.4 for Moats Draft 1-Sammy Watkins-if available, a bigger more physical Harvin, also a Bills fan...Mike Evans is my 2nd choice. 2-Austin Seferian Jenkins- biggest TE in draft and a good athlete, number 2 TE, till he passes over Chandler 3a-Shayne Skov-ILB, 2 down banger. Allows kiko to play weakside. 3b-Cyril Richardson, Baylor offensive linemen have not done well lately, there are lots of guards in this draft plus a poor senior bowl week and he falls to the third round. 4-Piere Desir-CB, small school, but good size and athletic ability. 4th DB to start season. 5-Seantral Henderson-OT, size and athletic, has lots of raw talent, needs motivation. Made mistakes in the past but has owned up to them. Development guy 6-JC Copeland- 6' 285 fullback, basically an offensive lineman in the backfield. 7-punter...Moorman's replacement. Sign Zack Strief-best RT in the NFL in 2013 (according to PFF) wrong side of 30 and started career with Coach Marrone...3 year 7.8 million dollar deal...PFF score...26.5, pears' -5 Richie Incognito-yes, this would be interesting at least, wrong side of 30 and damaged goods (not through injury) Vernon Davis likes him though. +6.8 in 8 games vs Brown/Legursky's -42.5...2 year deal worth 5 million...allows Richardson to develop. Transition tag Byrd, allows us to match first offer or decline it and let him walk. Sign Jarred Allen, 3 year 20 million all guaranteed...gives Mario a hunting buddy, Allen has made his money, guaranteed money and the chance to play on a great DL again brings him to buffalo. Allen-Williams-Dareus-Williams looks pretty good on paper. Financially this could happen and work.

While I agree with the assessment, Chandler is not elite, using profootballfocus, he's pretty good...ranking his run blocking skills, he's 19th overall with only 2 ranking higher with more yardage receiving (both pro bowlers, Witten and Davis) Pettigrew ranks 48... % of competition, Chandler caught 67% of passes thrown to him, Graham, even with a more accurate QB, caught 63%. He's well worth a 3 year 9 million dollar deal, I'd still draft another TE, ASJ in the 2nd round. 2 TE mis-match.

Is There A Place On The Bills For LB Chris Borland?

I agree, Skov is my pick too. I'm hoping he makes it to the 3rd round. -

I've seen comparisons to Zack Thomas too...his arms are shorter than 29", shortest measured this year. The concern is with larger backs can he wrap them? In coverage, can 5'11 and 28.5 inch arms really be a distraction over the middle? Honestly, I think he'd be a good back up, special teamer and fullback. -
who thinks we will go OT in the 1st round
frogger replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm guessing the only reason to draft a tackle is because they assume re-signing Glenn will not happen...Buffalo musical chairs. I'd rather spend money on players Strief, players who can give 3 to 5 good years, while developing younger players taken in the middle rounds. -

I love that you're in fact keeping the faith, I've never heard him say he doesn't like Buffalo, but maybe he does...what about the transition tag? -
Training camp would be interesting
-
Purely for selfish reason, I hope we sign him make his number 51 and draft Mike Evans (who wore 13 in college, Stevie's number) make him 83...I've got two jerseys collecting dust in my closest...now if only there was a QB named losman in the draft.

FanSpeak's "On The Clock" - Try Drafting

I'd take it! Fills needs without reaching. Billy Turner in the 4th would be a great pick, he will take a year, but it will turn out very good. -
