Please remember the euphoria when we signed Drew Bledsoe
blzrul replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's hysterical!!!!! Think about what a come-down it's got to be to TO ... to go from [arguably] "world-class" cities (except for Dallas which sucks) to BUFFALO. Hey I love my team but I am the first to admit we are the butt of all jokes. I STILL hear "Boy I Love Losing Superbowls" after all these years.... I cannot IMAGINE what Dick Jauron is thinking but...you know, I didn't think he had it in him. Maybe the gamble will pay off. Maybe THIS time TO will actually take a team to the playoffs...and win a game. If nothing else, there will be excitement off the field if not on it... -

Who exactly is euphoric over TO? Good Lord... Why sign a deep threat received when you don't trust your QB enough to THROW DEEP?! We need a guy who can catch the dumb dink and dunk. That said...I LOVE me some TO! Boo yeah! -
Gupta withdraws from Surgeon General consideration

You're making the assumption that we believe he really choked on a pretzel. But ASSuming is a core competence of yours so in that light, well done. Carry on. -
Great Op/Ed that hits the nail on the head

So? Does that mean I can only say nice things about him? Sorry for his physical affliction but there are plenty of folks who have them who are not vile. -
Meanwhile in the rest of the world

Since you guys are so upset on taxing rich people, you must be very rich indeed. One would have to wonder why, with all that money and all, you have nothing better to do than piss and moan on an obscure board where fans of an equally lame football team gather to discuss, or diss, our team. -

Yeah great. They'll fall apart just after they offload them. -
You're gonna give yourself a heart attack. Quick! Look! What's that?! OMG! A commie?! A pinko?! OBL?! The world is a very scary place. Very scary. By the way who gives a rat's ass what Hugo Chavez says? Oh I better be careful, a lot of poor people in New England probably like him a LOT since he's still sending them free heating oil. Somehow it managed to get through the Bush blockade these past years...and I guess Obama's blockage isn't working either.

And a darned good thing too. Look at the difficulty he had with pretzels. -

I'm trying to decide, if I have to pick one, among Warren G. Harding, William Henry Harrison, Millard Fillmore or Grover Cleveland. McKinley? Dole/Kemp? Now there is a blast from the past. I forgot about them. What would have been cool if it was Dole/Kemp versus Mondale/Ferraro. Probably about 17 people would have voted, nationwide.... -

Silly boy. The mods would AGREE that Krautenhiemer is a fine, objective kinda guy. Even his PHOTO looks like he has a stick up his butt. Before I ever read his column it was easy to picture out where he stood just from the photo. He probably puts a pomander to his nose before he passes too closely by a constructino worker or black person. -

Not surprising. W is the guy most people would like to have a beer with. I know a million guys like him. Fun to party with but I definitely wouldn't want them running the country. Obviously - because look what happened. -

I'm not complaining at all. That's YOUR bailiwick. It's what you do! Fear. Panic. Gloom. Doom. That's what you guys are all about. Pathetic little creatures. -

Why would you expect that this crew of panic-stricken, uninformed nitwits would have any respect for someone who's a success in TWO fields? They don't even know what it's like to succeed in ONE. You know, just because our wingnut buddies are such dumbasses, my new recommendation for Surgeon General is Dr. Howard Dean. That'll have them soiling their nappies (again). -
We're all being taken for a ride on the Obama

Actually the market is a predictor and probably a catalyst for where the economy is headed. -
How low will the stock market go under Obama?
blzrul replied to Fingon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well that's a stupid statement, as a strong opponent of Bush if that was true then I would LOVE the WSJ. There was never a time when I loved the WSJ, no matter WHO it picked or panned. -

So what your saying is that the WSJ is right and Bush did suck as bad as they say? I dismiss the WSJ no matter what. -

You're KIDDING me. The Wall Street Journal said something NEGATIVE about a DEMOCRAT. Wow. How unusual. Citing WSJ is about as valid as me citing The Huffington Post, from a "nonpartisan" perspective. By the way, I hate to break it to you all, but this mess is global. It's not just us. -

blzrul replied to Helmet_hair's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You know what, wingnuts? I am 100% willing to concede the President Obama is 100% responsible for the drop in the Dow since he took office. Because it's happening on his watch. On that same principle, therefore, you will have to concede that the recession of 2001-2003, the recession of 2007 AND September 11 are all 100% the responsibility of George W. Bush. Because it happened on HIS watch. Good luck on that search for "a life". You need it. -

Could be except they're not smart enough to be women. So far you've managed to take out the buckshot boys from boonville, eryn the redneck and the loony from lalaland. Good start for a newbie. -
If TJ starts dropping balls like the rest of the receivers in Seattle, we'll know it's the team and not the player. Speaking of dropping balls, I see Jerramy Stevens is free again. He's just borderline enough for the Bills to look at...drops touchdowns at the most crucial times ... ugh. I can't warm up to Jim Mora - I realize the Walrus is a tough act to follow because he fit in pretty well here in Seattle. Seattle is a funny place for sports. I think this year the Hawks will get a pass again because everyone's so giddy about Junior's return to the Mariners. This is really not what I'd call a "sports town" - comparing what I experienced when I lived in Western NY and Dallas.

I just gave the Bills some money last night
blzrul replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I renewed my Bills club seat license for 3 years and my Seahawks tickets too (which was up on the air). I am excited about the Hawks getting TJ Whoseyourmama....yeah, I can say it put I am not going to attempt spelling. -
I'm still coming to grips with the thought that you have friends. :-)

States Admit Death Penalty Is Too Costly
blzrul replied to blzrul's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well, perhaps this belongs in another thread but by the conventional "wisdom" of this board, human life (except Muslims, blacks, and liberals of course, and maybe gays too depending on who's posting) is sacred. Hence there must be SOME justification for taking it, whether punishment/retribution, justice, or deterrance of future crimes. I don't care if Dahmer suffered or not...well actually, I sorta hope he did. -

blzrul replied to blzrul's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Don't you think what happened to Dahmer is EXACTLY what he deserved? He didn't have any time to "get right", he didn't have a date to work against..he was terrified and probably suffered. Charles Ng isn't human.
