I do think it's hysterical that Levi is suddenly, according to Palin, a "high school dropout" when previously he was just taking some time away from school to get a good job to support his family. The good news I is that out-of-wedlock births are now "soaring" per CNN so maybe we can read about some other couple and their bastard child instead of the Palins.

If Obama is a windbag, what does that make DCT?

Terrorist(s) murder 9 in New York City, injure 23
blzrul replied to Romeo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Your dosage is clearly inadequate. Pray have your physician increase it...dramatically. -
I must say the Intrepid looks AWESOME. Went by on Sunday. I was there just before it went out to be refitted. They did a really nice job.

Obama refuses the return of TARP money
blzrul replied to Fingon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
At least one bank in Louisiana has already returned 90M in TARP money. Banking is considered a regulated industry already...so the government already controls it. The regulations got loosened the last 12 years or so...and we're living with the result. -
We wanted to use Turkish air bases for troop/supply movement and bumped them to the coalition of the unwilling when they told us to pound salt.

Biden's Daughter is a Coke Whore?

TALK ABOUT COKE WHORES, YOU MUST BE HIGH ON SOMETHING or else seriously delusional .... seriously. -
Turns out he was wrongly convicted as evidence was withheld ... by the Bush government. He's all yours. I think he's a scummy slimeball but he's an old guy, and he's gone now. Enjoy him. And of course he can now kiss and make up with the governor of the state he used to represent, who in 2008 called on him to resign whether or not he was convicted, and is now frantically backpeddling. How's that ASH up there?

"Railroaded" by the Bushistas, cleared by the Democrats. How sweet it is. The system works.

If the Bills move to Toronto they will go from being a national, even global, butt of all jokes to total oblivion. I like Canada and all, but when it comes to sports if it ain't hockey, no-one pays attention much to Canadian teams. No-one outside Canada ... and I don't think Canadians give a rat's behind about US Football either. I don't know if it's a move to scare Buffalo, engage more fans from Canada (33% of game attendance in Orchard Park isn't enough)? or what. But the simple fact stands that if Ralph fielded a consistently good team he could jack up his prices, demand a new stadium, etc etc. A few years of glory long ago just don't cut it.

Does Cutler have that Jimbo attitude we've been missing??
blzrul replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People in Denver seem happy to see him go. He is, apparently, a whiner. Send him to Philly and let's get Donovan McNabb. Wouldn't TO like that? -
NYS Government: We Deserve Those We Elect
blzrul replied to Keukasmallies's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oh I dunno. I just heard from my friend that in lieu of a refund for overpayment in CA she got an "IOU" from the state. That's kinda weird. -
The President pissed me off a few days ago
blzrul replied to The Big Cat's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
{THE PRESIDENT]C an I just interrupt, Jared, before you ask the next question, just to say that we -- we took votes about which questions were going to be asked and I think 3 million people voted or -- DR. BERNSTEIN: Three point five million. THE PRESIDENT: Three point five million people voted. I have to say that there was one question that was voted on that ranked fairly high and that was whether legalizing marijuana would improve the economy -- (laughter) -- and job creation. And I don't know what this says about the online audience -- (laughter) -- but I just want -- I don't want people to think that -- this was a fairly popular question; we want to make sure that it was answered. The answer is, no, I don't think that is a good strategy -- (laughter) -- to grow our economy. (Applause.) So -- all right. DR. BERNSTEIN: Thank you for clearing that up. (Laughter.) You must not have a sense of humor. He offered to answer the question before it was even asked. I was one of the 3.5m. I'm not insulted...lighten up. Or, maybe LIGHT up. -
Record Flooding in North Dakota - where's Obama?
blzrul replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Heck no, Tom is anti-everything, except anti-Tom. And sometimes he is anti-Tom actually. -
What an incredibly vile taxation by Obama &Co.
blzrul replied to stuckincincy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
From the savings realized due to improved work attendance and performance (assuming there are jobs) as well as the reduction of healthcare for the chronic conditions caused to tobacco use. Not to mention the increased spending on FOOD FOOD FOOD that happens when you quit smoking. -
I think "Freedom Tower" is a dumb name anyway. People who remember will think of Freedom Fries, Freedom Toast and all that crap. Calling it WTC in effect says "you may have knocked one down but we rebuilt, so shove it up your butt you jerks". Which is really what you'd expect from New Yorkers. In your face, OBL. Kiss my ass.

Biden's Daughter is a Coke Whore?
blzrul replied to Chump Change's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And if anyone brings up Jeb's poor daughter (arrested for forged prescriptions, in and out of rehab) CC will probably blow a gasket. -
Biden's Daughter is a Coke Whore?
blzrul replied to Chump Change's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oh I thought the drinking thingy referred to Bush himself. Yes the Bush girls were underage drinkers. And as I recall, the waitress who refused to serve them (and her employer) were the targets of vicious attacks (words) and on-site protests by the wingnuts. -
Biden's Daughter is a Coke Whore?
blzrul replied to Chump Change's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They're both bad but the former IS illegal. Considering they've been shopping this tape for months and even the NY Post won't buy it, one has to wonder if there's any truth to it. She is a 27-year old woman though and is responsible for her own actions by now. -
Surprised the wingnut heads here haven't exploded all over this one. Investigating Alberto Gonzalez and other Bushistas...for potential human rights violations. And this isn't some fly-by-night guy either...how funny that the Bushistas are mentioned in the same article as Pinochet. And the "we didn't make the policy...." statement. Hmm. That was a favorite refrain during Nuremberg wasn't it? Ka-BOOM! Oh and don't forget, Spain supported Bush's splendid little war. So let's not start hearing about "Freedom Rice" etc...

Record Flooding in North Dakota - where's Obama?
blzrul replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hmmm well the floodwaters are apparently receding. . So I guess President Obama should get credit for that since he was getting blasted for impending floods in the first place. Right? -
When Bush Said it, it was Leading by Fear
blzrul replied to Chef Jim's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Stating that AQ is out to get us and we should crush them where they live is true - I never disagreed with Bush attacking Afganistan. What I objected to is using the fear of AQ as an excuse to invade Iraq and to shake down people who disagreed with Bush's policies and spoke out against them. Big difference. Fact is, AQ is bad. AQ is the enemy. If Obama says that he's speaking the truth. If it makes people afraid? Tough. Show me where Obama is using the fear as a leverage to crush dissent and manipulate other areas of government to do what he wants. -
Obama seeks ability to seize businesses
blzrul replied to Fingon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah, but they're living on Okla-freaking-homa. -
Speaking of looking up, why don't you try looking up "sarcasm". States/communities/people who benefit from 'earmarks" don't have a problem with them. They have a problem with "earmarks" that benefit OTHERS. The whole thing is a joke. Congressional reps grab money for the people they represent. That's kind of their job. But the delicious irony of a dumbass from a state that suffered so greatly from a natural disaster, complaining about money that might help some OTHER state avoid that fate...well that's just too good to let go.
