Damn straight. We are to be feared.

Absolutely agree - I often felt sorry for Bush, because he had to be frustrated at the very least. I am sure many days he didn't want to get out of bed, and that he didn't run screaming from the building says something at least. I don't think he really enjoyed being President very much.

Republican Tea Bagging is sweeping the nation!
blzrul replied to Bad Lieutenant's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Saw an interview this morning with one of the movement leaders. He made it CLEAR that 1) they aren't targeting the Obama administration but all prior administrations too: government in general 2) they are not anti-tax. they agree we should pay taxes 3) they are objecting to the government being the arbiter of how it's spent - they think we the people can spend more wisely (given the massive credit card debt people carry due to buying stuff they can't afford, I have to wonder...) So nice job trying to make this into a big political issue. This man stated that fewer than 10 Congressional reps have responded to their request for engagement. This is a grassroots movement, which is how we got our start and is a good thing. But it's not anti- or pro-any party or party representative. -

My taxes decreased too. Sales tax in my state may have gone up...haven't noticed it yet. They're talking about it, but not sure. So make up your mind, are you mad about the taxing? or the spending? Why tax if you don't spend? Is it better to spend what you don't have? Or are you just having a bad day? You are making less sense than usual...if that's possible. -
I didn't attack him. I didn't hear him say it and I certainly don't have any insight into what he thinks or feels. If he's being reasonable, good for him. Of course - I don't think he COULD defend attacking Obama on this situation because by all accounts he was smart enough to empower and trust the people he knew could DO the job - to just do it. And because he's also not politicizing it. (I am sure there is a temptation to hang a MISSION ACCOMPLISHED banner somewhere...I would argue that belongs to the SEALS who did such a great job, not the President.) My biggest issue with Bush was that he was a puppet who didn't stand up to the evil Cheney and the extremist fanatics who took over his party and tried to foist their Victorian-era "values" on America. I think Bush just wants to watch baseball and hang with his rich friends...but when you're President, the country has to come first.

So since taxes are decreasing on most of these people, they should probably find something else to B word about. Like spending. -
Was he praising Obama because he really admires how he handled the issue? Or because his highly-developed sense of self-preservation told him that it would be bad to wish failure on him when such failure would have resulted in the death of Capt. Phillips?

How many of these dead people are children? -
Well then let's not talk about it for another 6-8 years, because if we are to give Bush, the experienced politician and man with great executive experience, credit for what took him so long we certainly ought to give the same leeway to the man with less experience...who's trying to clean up the worst mess since 1929.

If when it happens in a few months I presume all due credit will be given? Bush looked down Putin's throat on his big trip and "saw his soul"...what did we get out of it? Need we go there? Patience grasshopper. After 8 years of sh-- the world isn't quite ready to forgive and trust us fully
-
Yeah, showing respect to others always sucks. Best always to be arrogant and in your face. That makes it more fun to cut us down to size.

I think you ought to draw up in tabular form all the great successes GWB had during his European vacations (don't count the shoulder massage of the German lady, that was a faux pas, nor holding hands and kissing Saudi Arabians). Then we can see the vast greatness of Bush's accomplishments during his 8 years and compare them to Obama's woeful failure in less than 8 months. And whatever you do, do NOT forget about Poland. Want some wood?

Oh yeah Mary Maitland is so hot she managed to capture...James Carville. Be still my beating heart.

And I am sure you, and all the other wingnuts here, are pure paragons of beauty.

And this freedom to protest openly to express your views brought to you by the people who decided that Dissent is Patriotic, and then did something about it. Not the "stay the course crowd". The last regime would have had the SS, CIA, FBI and who knows all else there taking names and detaining you. So enjoy your right, have a great time protesting. You're welcome. -

If Wild West style worked, it would still be in place. -

Well he had a busy day walking on water, healing the sick and turning water into wine. That's what you wanted to hear, right? I guess so, I can hear the ka-BOOM from here. You need to get a life or you will drop dead from sheer frustration well before the first term is over.

Terrorist(s) murder 9 in New York City, injure 23
blzrul replied to Romeo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I didn't miss it. I totally ignored it. I don't know where this turkey came from but it does seem that the turkeys are disproportionately on YOUR side of the aisle. Must be a coincidence? -
Actually this story was both on CNN and Dallas Morning News. And as it turns out the project is illegal, Palin can't take the money, according to her PAC. However, don't worry, the PAC outlined what needs to be done so she CAN take the money. Hey if the right doesn't like having to hear about sniveling, lying, hypocritcal wingnuts who they've annointed their hope and future...then pick someone better!
-
Even funnier is the new site set up to collect funds to cover Palin's 500k+ legal fees she still owes as a result of "ethics complaints". Hmm. I thought she was a not a dirty politician? And I thought she was against handouts? I guess she's even more of a politician than I gave her credit for. Not that I give her credit for much. She can't even Twitter - at least McCain can (although I am sure someone else does the typing for him).

A Republican I can't hate. Here's hoping the GOP continues to ignore this sound, rational advice.
