When will there be an attack on Iran?
blzrul replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Since Israel will probably be the primary target of the first nuke Iran fires, I wouldn't blame them. -
Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

Obama to world: Don't expect America to fix it all
blzrul replied to BillsFan-4-Ever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well we could just call in all the debts they owe us...unless we've forgiven them they're still paying for WWII if not the first one. And who says we have to kiss up to the world? I guess if we're going to invade a sovereign nation we would have to, but the US has carried the rest of the world long enough IMHO. -
If someone really murdered this man simply because he's a federal employee, we'll know. And when we know, it will be interesting to learn whether his anti-government antipathy has been long-established or of more recent origin. And then we can worry about it. It's probably an isolated nutcase or teen thrill-killer who thought it would be funny to write "fed" on the guy.

So is the problem that Fox invited him and he said no? Fox doesn't like to air his speeches etc so I don't know why he'd want to drive up their ratings or validate them. I got a kick of out of the recent to-do over the tea parties - Fox aired ads claiming no-other station, particularly CNN, covered them. CNN rebutted with clips of the coverage and the new slogan "Fox Distorts...." etc. Pretty funny.

The First Lady enters the Health Care fray
blzrul replied to The Poojer's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm sure you'd be just as offended if she tried to speak on behalf of men in your situation. Because, whereas she is a wife and mother, she is not a man or a father. That would be "pandering" wouldn't it - at the very minimum. I have the feeling that she and her husband just offend you on general principle, period, for whatever reasons known only to you. By the way these days if both parents work, and both have health care available thru work - you usually MUST be on your own policy through work or be prepared to pay through the nose if you are eligible for coverage but opt to be added to another's policy. It's outrageous. -
Final Two Bills Drive Tailgate Information!

What time is the band playing? In any event we may swing by to say hello - I didn't sign up or anything. And given what goes on over at PPP I think I could be in physical danger even.... Maybe I'll pretend to be someone else. -
damn that's early

I know but it's pissing me off that Sal M and all these other NFL "news" outlets are now spreading the word that Leodis flip-flopped. I tweeted back to them with the link to the Buff News article, but heaven forbid they check it out. One of them stated "gee I talked to Leodis and he said he wouldn't press charges but now he is", which is tantamount to calling the guy a liar, the way it was written. Media. There is a special place in hell for some of them...(and it's called PPP )

So now it's being said that McKelvin has decided to press charges after all. It's beeing tweeted and I just read an online article. However the Buffalo News says it's the DA who may press charges. This thing needs to die one way or another...the last thing needed is a distraction like this. I wonder if Leodis tried to file an insurance claim and his company required him to go after the little bastards... or, perhaps the Buffalo News is right and the NFL beat reporters jumped the gun,

In other words "What? Me, worry?"

Did Bruce get called for that? I thought Shane Conlon got called for a facemask that negated the sack... I guess the point is there have been a number of heartbreakers. Every team has them though, my husband still can't get over the Ice Bowl...
-
ooo I remember that. I also believe that prior to being wtih the fish Buckley was with the Rams and earned the nickname "Toast" for getting burned so often?! That made this doubly worse.
-
So I don't have a problem chanting for Leodis...I'll be there Sunday...but I would like to know whether everyone would still feel the same way if his lawn had NOT been vandalized?

2 Suspects Identified in McKelvin Vandalism

Then there was that [no doubt crude representation of] male genetalia... I think this is one of those times where these kids should have to wear sandwich boards or better yet spend and hour pilloried outside a farmer's market when tomatoes are on sale. -
And that's when you're having a GOOD day.

When an pro-abortion person is killed
blzrul replied to VABills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As it turns out the photo proferred on the web as proof of the "HUGE" numbers was from a different event. How typical. All estimates put this between 75-100k. Pretty impressive still when you consider these nuts aren't united around a common cause, except they hate Obama, but still just about the # of folks Obama could draw to a speech...on the low side actually. -
Hey the team hung in there and never gave up. Also they are the only team with 3 rookies in the O-line...considering THAT the O looked respectable. I sure wish Leodis had gone down instead of fighting for that extra yard ... I don't have a problem w/him bringing it out. That said - I think that this should bring them some confidence that they can run w/the big dogs. If they can profit from it and improve, it will have been worth the heartbreak.

Sorry I'm only just saying thanks - hadn't been to Duff's in years (isn't there one on Niagara Falls Blv too?) and we went to this one, my stomach burned for hours. Five stars! -

yeah, and had the guy been reading a newspaper the gunman didn't like the reaction may have been the same. Bait away baitboy. -
Even I don't believe that. I think that if the government wasn't so overloaded with bureacracy maybe someone might have paid attention and figured it out but...it's human nature to look at something really scary and say "naw, I'm imaging it". And even if it was a "plot" to let it happen to bolster Bush's bad poll numbers, I don't think they had any idea of the magnitude.

If it's brilliance you're looking for you made a wrong turn at Albuquerque. You won't find that here.
