Basically, you sign 12-15 of these UDFA's after the draft ends and hope 1 or 2 work out. Last year, we had 3 from Tennessee make the team.

That's fair. Preston needs some technique work but the Bills obviously see something in the guy. He'll backup at Center. The Guard from Vandy seemed like a real find in Round 6. Roadgrader in the running game. The Miami guys will contibute right away and give Losman more weapons in his first year as the starter. Having MaGahee,Moulds,Evans,Parrish,Everett,Campbell to work with, takes a lot of pressure off J.P. Not bad, considering our postion in this horribly weak draft pool. I'm surprised we did this well.

He's probably right to a degree. TD obviously didn't see Shelton as an upgrade over Teague at LT, so why take on a 3 Mil a year salary ? He held out for a draft pick and it never happened. So hold onto him. When some team suffers a training camp injury, trade him for a 2006 Draft pick, which has twice the talent than this years weak draft. The worse case scenerio is he stays backing up Willis for 2005.

Grade - C + It was a very weak draft pool with the Bills waiting 8 + hours to make a pick. The Losman trade turned out to be a wise move. The Center and Guard could develop. The Miami guys could help right away at WR and TE. I never thought for a second they could find a LT candidate in this Draft . They were horrid. Teague will be decent for a year. 2006 is supposedly deep at OT , with many legit LT's.
