  1. McCain is the Walter Mondale of the Republican party. They might as well concede the election.
  2. Hmmm...I have an unopened bottle of Crown Royal. That may fire up the troops at pole 5 this Sunday.
  3. I'll send you my 1969 media guide where the same improvement was predicted for Dan Darragh. Coaches have to understand how to use their roster correctly, based on experience and talent. Losman has talent but no NFL experience, yet is having a full playbook shoved down his throat. Meanwhile, #21 gets shorted on carries with an OL who's strength is run blocking. The coaching staff deserves to walk on hot coals this week. It will take time with Losman but in the meantime, running the ball isn't sacrificing the season. It may lead to more first downs, more scoring chances, less turnovers and keeping the D fresh.
  4. The writer was a Michigan Grad.
  5. The tweed and ascot faction has spoken. Better call the HOF and have it corrected. http://www.profootballhof.com/history/rele...?release_id=331
  6. It just came to me that the Bills only won one game in 1971 because they sucked.
  7. The questions for MM and TD this week were very direct. I think they know the honeymoon is over with the fanbase and they need to win.
  8. Proof positive the mushrooms are good out in California.
  9. Forget the Bills and their 300 issues for a minute. Who looks good 4 weeks in ? I'm impressed with the Bengals and believe they will keep it going. Palmer is playing excellent. Johnson is a solid RB and 2 good WR's to boot. OL is solid. Good Defense completes the formula. I do believe they are passing the Steelers in their division. Indy has a real Defense ? If so, they are going to be tough to beat. Still, I'll believe it when they win some big road games in November and December. The Jags and Chargers are both 2-2 but I see them both in the post season. Their talent is too good. Chargers made a huge statement this weekend. The Pats will gut out 10 wins but they are ripe to be beat in the playoffs this year. Bengals,Steelers,Indy,Pats,Jags,Chargers make playoffs. Not buying into Denver. In the NFC, I see the Eagles and Bucs as the class of the conference. Eagles scoring 31 unanswered points in Arrowhead is all I need to see. Atlanta still has to prove it with some road wins in November and December. Will their D be up to it ? Could the NY Giants be taking a very real step forward. Eli Manning looks locked in but their D can be inconsistent. The rest of the conference looks weak. I'm not buying the Redskins...yet. 2 NFC playoff teams will be 8-8. Who intrigues you ? Leave the Bills out of this thread.
  10. Wrong USC player. Reggie Bush is the pick.
  11. By a mile. Excellent post.
  12. I prefer this statement.
  13. If we had the #2 pick, I'd run the card up to the stand with the name Reggie Bush on it. Best player in College football. Willis will not be here for several more years. I'd be surprised if he's here in 2 years. OL - sign some proven frontline UFA Vets, not 2nd tier fodder like Teague, Chris V., Anderson, Gandy etc. That thinking by TD has failed. You can still find quality OL in Round 2 and 3. Same with DT's.
  14. Nope. It's all Losman and we should keep throwing the ball, now with Holcomb starting. The playcalling is terrific. I was instructed of this wisdom by many here. Running sucks.
  15. He should cut his speech writer.
  16. It's all Losman and the OL. Mularkey is a Deity.

(Ball spot changes from last play due to change of possession.) 1-10-BUF37 (7:20) J.Losman sacked at BUF 28 for -9 yards (D.Howard). FUMBLES (D.Howard), and recovers at BUF 28. A.Hakim to NO 41 for 8 yards (G.Wilson). So I see Willis running well early. Then a couple 3,4 yard carries on 1st down. A 14 yarder on 1st down in the 3rd quarter. Show me where else you see a balanced running attack ?
  18. My avatar has spoken volumes for 2 weeks. You're a little late to pat yourself on the back.
  19. In " Ask The Coach " this week, the question is obvious. " Coach, why do you abhor the run ? "
  20. I guess he's stubborn and hates handing the ball to #21. It worked well on the first drive and that seemed to irk him. So Willis received 3 carries over the next 2 quarters and we didn't see a first down for a long time. Disgusting. The Bills deserve every bit of this 1-3 record and Mularkey cannot defend his obvious hatred for a low risk run based offense that may be our best chance to win with our current roster. So continue running pass plays that have zero chance of succeeding. Keep calling flea ficker hook & ladders. NFL = Not For Long . It applies to coaches and also GM's.
  21. Better known as the B!tch and Moan room.
  22. All the good ones come from South of the border.
  23. What's wrong with a good cigar ?
  24. Yes but they are pressing their luck, coming out of the gate slow for the 2nd week in a row. That's eventually going to bite them in the backside against the right team. Cal, ND, UCLA might not let them off the hook. Texas will gain more 1st place votes this week.
