  1. Moon - Maybe Vinny - No Drew - No Ok, we're done here.
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/news/story?id=2188313 Oh brother. I don't blame the Coach one bit for walking.
  3. I'm still taking 2005 one week at a time but entering this 2006 off-season, the needed upgrades are becoming too obvious. 1. OL - Mike Williams should be penciled in at RT. Outside of that, the other 4 positions are all up for grabs. Teague should be gone. Anderson and Gandy are just filler for their eventual replacements. Chris V. is old and may have hit the wall. The quality of play need not be mentioned. We'll see if Preston is good enough to be a front line replacement at Center. In the meantime, The UFA signing period in March should focus on some Veteran help. Not 2nd or 3rd tier filler guys. Real help with actual talent. 2. DT - Anderson looks decent and Adams is in the stretch run of his career. No depth in site. Edwards stinks. Bannon stinks. Must sign or draft at least 2 players for this position. Need a solid rotation and improvement against the run. 3. Coaching - We're getting outcoached almost weekly. The offensive playcalling has no rhythm to it and seems quite baffling. Fails to take advantage of the oppositions weaknesses and lacks any adjustments at halftime. Same goes for the Defense. Blitzing most every play with little results leaves your secondary and the middle of the field exposed. Seems Gray has no Plan B beyond this. Personally, if he leaves for a better job, I won't miss him at all. Other positions such as OLB ( Spikes? ) and a vet WR to replace Moulds are also important. TD must take his pride for a walk and realize he needs to change his outlook of improving this roster. He can't go cheap on the OL anymore. UFA's will be out there and one of the best college classes of O Lineman in years will be there waiting for him on Draft day. He may have misfired again with the Coaching staff but lets see how 2005 plays out before calling that final. You can only blame the players so much if the coaching staff fails to play to the rosters strengths and put them into position to succeed. Right now, they are trying to pound the square peg into the round hole. I'll be an interested observer of this season and the coming off-season. Lots of work is evident.
  4. Yeeha ! He's injured with a boken hand. Hurry up and get here for rehab.
  5. Actually, they did recently increase the budget, put down a new field, upgraded the facilities at the stadium ( weight room, locker room etc.) . Recruits used to walk in, see the lack of facilities and walk out, never to return. Seems the new AD wants to get the program moving. He doesn't have to worry about basketball. They got that right by hiring Reggie Witherspoon a few years back. He turned that program into a winner pretty fast. Jim Hofner is in over his head on the football side. They have never shown one instance of getting better in his 5 years. He was extended a year to 2006 for recruiting purposes last spring but an 0-11 season may be happening in East Amherst. If so, he's got to go. It's a nice 30,000 seat stadium and the locals would love to get behind them. The AD has to know this and should make a move.
  6. Spell Jasun... but that's not important in goal line football...
  7. Put Jason Peters and Sam Adams in the backfield. Give the ball to Peters with Adams leading. Then wish the Defense luck.
  8. Teague,Bannon and Jermain to the Jags for DT Marcus Stroud.
  9. I hope someone does us a favor and hires away Blitz Gray.
  10. Bill Cowher could challenge that.
  11. The Blog master makes a good point. I guess the out pattern to Evans for the first down and the quick slant to Moulds for the TD may have been 2 plays Losman was struggling to complete in the first 4 games. I still blame the Coaches for coming out flat in the 2nd half. Poor playcalling doomed us on both sides of the ball . Less naps at the intermission and more game adjustments. Anyone else believe we're getting outcoached most every game ?
  12. Bills-20 Jets-13 Willis has 52 Carries for 210 yards. TSW cries about not throwing the ball enough.
  13. Ralph said he could buy the car of his choice. Did you ask him which Kia he purchased ?
  14. Wave him goodbye from the NFL.
  15. No. Vic Carucci was in the press box.
  16. I guess he might mean best talents who wore a Bills uniform. Even those who were here for a very short time.
  17. Looks like he loves Kool-Aid. Look at those glazed eyes and dopey smile.
  18. J.D. Hill ??? I always viewed him as a bust. Lofton was still very good when he arrived but his prime years were over. Sestak was twice the player Smerlas ever was. He was thee dominate DT of the AFL 60's. Thurman should be near the top of the list. He carried us during the SB years. Move Reed way up from #20. Where's Mike Stratton ?
  19. I dare you to face down Sam Adams and call him a primate.
  20. He saw those stapler sales adds at Office Depot. No kids for Perry. Saban is such an impressive task master, according to ESPN.
  21. Looks like Kelly Holcomb and Alex Van Pelt are twins.
  22. Congrats on a great win. Finally, Joe Pa plays Freshman who are loaded with talent. Penn St. is now in the Big 10 Conference drivers seat. Take it one week at a time and see if they can keep this going. Sniff, sniff. Is that the smell of roses ? You, Lori, JSP and a few others stuck with them through the tough times. I do notice many now slithering onto the bandwagon, now that they're winning. Feel free to check them for a backbone.
  23. Get your hands off my Kool-Aid !
  24. I can hunt deer too ?
  25. per ESPN News.
