  1. We seem to have multiple positions needing an upgrade. Giving Nate an outrageous 1 year contract would just delay the inevitable, if you're convinced you can't sign him long term. Meanwhile, we could use that $$ to sign 2 or 3 quality starters for the OL or DL this spring ( our biggest needs ) . The Bills could have taken care of this a year or 2 ago, when they decided Winfield would be allowed to walk. Since then, other CB's have received insane contracts, pushing the Franchise number out of orbit for that position. I certainly do NOT think Denvers' Champ Bailey is worth his 60 + Mil contract. That's why the Broncos had to sign all the bad Browns castoffs to play DL. No $$ left for quality. It's about timing. McGee was nailed at the perfect time. Too Late For Nate. Turn the page.
  2. Boy, did I take a beating here for saying the exact same thing. We won 6 straight games against teams playing BAD football. In addition, the ST's and Defense scored a freakish 10 TD's last year. Our Offense was very average to below average during 2004. When we played a quality team, we folded tent. This season, the Defense has been exposed. The Offense still stuggles with a poor OL and playcalling. Now we fold tent more often. The results are hardly surprising...except to TD and the Coaches, who are completely shocked.
  3. Got pushed over in his chair by former Rams QB Jim Everett when he kept calling him " Chris Everett " for lacking guts. I heard that interview today while driving. OMG. Willis should be seen and NEVER heard.
  4. Self-promoter. P.T Barnum would be proud. Don't let this thread get under your skin.
  5. I think Roscoe Parrish could make the switch and do that.
  6. Bionics. 45 cent Strohs drafts. Then hop the fence to the CPG.
  7. 8 team playoff. Quarterfinals arounds Christmas. Semi's around New Years. National Championship game the next week on a Friday or Saturday night.
  8. Well stated. Pat was almost always on the sidelines on 3rd and 5+ yards. With the Bills giving up an inordinate amount of 3rd and long conversions, Pat waving his pom-poms from the sidelines wasn't going to change the outcome. This is one trick Gray and his failing blitz schemes. Raiders recorded 26 first downs and were 7 of 11 on 3rd down. Eyes wide open.
  9. Lori . I read this twice and couldn't find " run for the bus " anywhere ?
  10. TD's failings 1. No discipline 2. smarts 3. removing fried baloney from the menu The Big 3.
  11. 1. Coaching 2. Roster talent
  12. I'm all out of troll food. Does anyone have the good Prestone flavor ? Then they never come back.
  13. Ahh. The yearly " The Bills are moving " scare. It's been going on since 1969. And yet they still play to a packed stadium in Orchard Park. Worry about the owners meeting in a year and pay no mind to this nonsense.
  14. !@#$ Phillip Rivers and his weak sidearm delivery. Could you see him trying to complete a pass in our stadium beyond 15 yards during the windy November/December games ? You've got to be kidding. He makes Holcomb look like Elway. " Wait. I've heard of him... "
  15. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/classic/obi...tory?id=2203131 Mara's influence went far beyond the Giants. He clearly was one of the most important figures in NFL history. Perhaps his greatest contribution came in the early 1960s. He and brother Jack, owners of the biggest team in the biggest market, agreed to share television revenue on a leaguewide basis, dividing the huge amounts of money available in cities like New York with smaller markets from Pittsburgh to Green Bay. Part of that agreement meant that the Giants ceded the right to sell their own games to television for a leaguewide contract, in those days with CBS. That concept of revenue sharing allowed the NFL to thrive and remains in place today. And this is why I despise Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder and the other " Me,Me,Me " owners, who wish to keep ALL the $$ for themselves. The greater good of the NFL means nothing to them.
  16. A Vet FA WR - To replace Moulds and his 10.8 mil cap hit OL - Williams at RT - Can toss the rest over the Peace Bridge ( irony ). 4 new OL DT -2 more MLB OLB Safeties -combined age of our 2 starters is nearing 70 yada,yada,yada....
  17. R.Rich for Veggie Plate ? Not in our lifetime.
  18. Right. He'll get right to it after he asks TD whether he can use the bathroom.
  19. I don't want Cowher here. I want to emulate his philosophy, which has been around for decades. Run the ball and control the clock. That also helps keep our own bad Defense off the field.
  20. Then why did Mularkey preach a tough physical running game ? Did he bail, not believing in the OL ? How did Willis get any yards this year ? Or did he bail because he doesn't have a HC like Cowher telling him " I want to run most of the time " ? Maybe more of the cute crap is what he wanted all along. I wish he still had someone to order him " Run the F#*king ball ". This OL cannot pass protect .
  21. That fat bastard at my gate who does the frisking for WMD's. I hate him.
  22. Sucking suck suck sucking suck suck sucking. BTW - I'm dealing lexapro on the side here and making Big $$.
  23. That is how you win games. Kicking the teeth out of your opponents on Offense. You think TD would understand this better than anyone. Yet after Mike Williams, he goes cheap on the OL. Then he hired Mularkey who prefers gadget plays and abhors physical football ( even though he told us different ). I can't make sense of this. We literally need 4 new O Lineman, outside of Williams. How the hell can TD not see this ?
