    The Buffalo Mayor race was yesterday, won by Byron Brown. I see our Bills play by play man, John Murphy is now the husband of the new Orchard Park town supervisor. Mary Travers used to be a reporter on Channel 7, where Murphy is still the Sports director. She always seemed like a sharp cookie. Good for her.

    He went from being Ricky Williams blocking FB at Texas to a great back in his own right. Reminds me of Franco Harris, who blocked for Lydell Mitchell at Penn St. and then became a star in the NFL . KC is fortunate to have another star to take his place in Larry Johnson.

    I believe Clump the cap specialist has already answered this question. It's too big of a cap hit to cut Williams. It would probably be best to extend him a couple years and spread his current contract out, if Guard is his future.

    Owens will have a few DESPERATE teams interested in his services in 2006. All will be burned badly by him within 1 year. He's 33 next month and he'll basically be offered 1 year contracts from here on out. No one will sink their cap over a proven cancer. Sorry kiddies but it's NOT all just about on-field performance. If you create a divided locker room, you cut your own throat. He's now done that TWICE.

    That gap between Alabama and the top 2 teams in the BCS is considerable. If USC and Texas win out, then Alabama will be playing Miami in another BCS game. ( The Sugar Bowl perhaps ? )

    Keeping my fingers crossed. I used to go to the games but it became hopeless. This coaching change was 2 years late and Hofher was badly outcoached every game. UB usually looked like a roster of midgets, compared to the opposition. They need to initially scout the Junior colleges and find some size for the lines.
