ND is getting a BCS bid based on rep, while one loss Oregon gets the shaft. Two loss ND did lose to 3-6 Mich St., correct ? I'm not even sure my Buckeye team deserves a BCS bid and they lost their 2 games to #2 and #3. Anyhow, I hear the Fiesta Bowl may want ND to play Penn St. Ohio St. may wind up in the Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech

Nothing like a humble winner. The beauty of technically tying Penn St. for the conference is the outside possibility of a BCS at large berth, in either the Fiesta or Orange Bowl. Miami and Alabama helped with that this past Saturday by taking the pipe.

If multiple teams are in the bidding, the $$ is basically the same . They sign where they can win. Lower tier players will take the $$ from anyone because their choices are limited.

I think the PR spin is falling on deaf ears after yesterday. We can point out individual players ad nauseam but it starts at the top. Winning teams have most of their ducks in a row because they have a strong Owner,GM and Coaching Staff . If a few bad players pop up, they deal with it and replace them with someone who can do a better job. Good teams win because they have a balanced, talented roster which plays to their strengths. A positive atmosphere is is the result. Future free agent Vets recognize this and will consider coming here. What UFA in Gods green earth would be attracted to Buffalo at this point ? If multiple teams are bidding for a quality DL or OL, chances are he won't have any desire to come here. The Owner is too old to deal with football matters anymore. His Team President and GM has made some dubious choices which has left our OL and DL in shambles. The Coaching Staff is getting outclassed by the opposition in every road game and many home games. Like JSP said, We need to blow " It " up. But "It" may be the front office. The entire mentality of mediocrity is being passed on to the players. No one wants to run to the deck of a sinking ship and find your skipper is Daffy Duck. We need to find more talent, point taken. Lack of faith and direction in the front office/coaches can sink a locker room. Many are still giving a good effort and are now playing hard for pride, even though they know this current team is hopeless. ..and who's fault is that ? Josh Reed ? Trey Teague ? Mike Williams ? They may be part of the problem but they can't fix the problem... I'm done blaming the players.

Ohio St. may squeak in , since they lost to only Penn St. in Conference play. A possible Fiesta bowl with the Buckeyes vs. ND is being discussed.

Dead on. Regardless of who wins the Heisman, he's the best gamebreaker to come along in many years. If you draft for the best player available, then no one is even close to this guys talent level. He's capable of going the distance every time he touches the ball. No QB name Leinart or tackle names D'Brickshaw would have his impact.

Nice Job, Joe Pa. I liked Penn St. long before they ever entered the Big 10. They played great this year and were one play short of a perfect regular season. After several years of stumbling, they righted the ship and will probably continue to be a force for years to come. Can't believe how many talented young players they have. Excellent recruiting.

I like AVP but he's such a homer in his commentary, especially defending the QB's. Bledsoe was completely blameless last year and isn't nearly as critical of the Bills as reported. If the Bills make mistakes, he usually has a laundry list of cheap excuses. He's notorious for doing that every game. That article was not accurate at all.
