  1. Unfortunately, the owner may be taking the easy way out. Offer up TD to the masses and just shuffle Modrak into his chair, keeping Dunderhead as Coach. A new DC and OC ? Mularkey reminds me of GW in his lame duck year. Who wants to come here with a HC on shaky grounds ? The teams with new HC's will attract the good coordinators, knowing HC's get 2-3 years to show something. Mularkey must give up ALL playcalling to someone else. I've seen enough bad swing passes to Shelton to last a lifetime. Wyche may be his only option at OC. Call the plays from upstairs, with the old Benglas playbook from the late 80's, early 90's. ...and get a F#*king TE into the playbook, for the love of God. Everett finally gets to play. Outside of our obvious OL/DL needs, I would draft another TE, since Campbell,Euhus,Nuefeld etc. are complete junk.
  2. But they have NFL HC EXPERIENCE at losing. That's impressive !
  3. He'll have ND's Defense solid within a couple years. I read about his excellent recruiting and know ND will only get better. The offense will always be good with him as coach. Weis couldn't have found a better job. ND is lucky to have him. I'm just breaking your shoes, since the Buckeyes won.
  4. Outstanding ! Great way to end the football season.
  5. Didn't you see Deliverance ? it's called foreplay..
  6. I doubt Tressel would ever want to leave. He's working his dream job in Columbus and couldn't be more popular if he tried. Since the Buckeyes are my favorite College team, I'm OK with that.
  7. Weis and ND gave up 617 yards of Offense to Ohio St. He can flat out Coach....offense...
  8. He's going to be a Paris model, I see.
  9. Exactly. Does that Monday QB show on ESPN with Eric Allen. I actually feel sorry for Allen, who is very good. Mark May has to put up with that same stuff with Lou Holtz.
  10. You're not enjoying all the bad coaching suggestions ? By my calculations, only John Wooden, Ted Nolan and Bobby Knight haven't been mentioned. Give it 5 minutes. The roller coaster is just about heading towards the peak... Weeeeeeee !
  11. ..and a sane man...
  12. Stealing office supplies.
  13. His cap figure ( 10.8 Mil ) could pay for 2-3 OL. He can return at a lesser figure but will initially be cut.
  14. A proven loser ? What winners are available ? I want someone who shows he can win. With your logic, Nick Saban should have never been hired by Miami. Didn't they just finish with 6 wins and a 9-7 record ? Iowa was beat up this year with injuries and still went 8-4. The 3 years prior, 10-2,10-3 and 11-2. This guy is a winner in the Big 10 and has coached under Belichick.
  15. Just starting to watch the Outback bowl between Iowa and Florida. While showing Ferentz just prior to kickoff, the announcers said Ferentz was interviewed by Mort and stated he would listen to NFL offers for the first time. In the past, he turned them away immediately. They mentioned the current job openings, with more to come. Hurry up, Ralph. Fire the kettlehead and make this former Belichick Asst. an offer. He is totally organized and runs a tight ship.
  16. You'll get no argument from me. He's in waaaay over his head. Has no concept of adjusting as the game progresses. Bringing up the length of the contract doesn't justify anything. We let GW hang around for a 3rd lame duck season. Didn't we learn anything ? So what if Ralph has to eat 3 Mil ? Detroit is eating 16-18 Mil on Mooch. That didn't stop them from firing a guy who actually won in San Fran. What has Mularkey done ? Did he actually think his ST's and D were going to score 10 TD's and bail out his bad offense again, as they did in 2004 ? This applies to TD also. TD and Mularkey should be leaving this week.
  17. What ? You doubt all those swing passes to Shelton ? Those are GOLD, BABY !
  18. If we could pick up an additional 2nd, I'd be thrilled. It depends how far you move back. The farther you move back, the bigger the compensation. If you move back a just couple spots, maybe an extra 3rd is enough. With the early 3rd round selection for Henry, we now have 4 day one picks. Picking up a 5th would be nice. The Bills have an outside chance of picking up another in the FA compensation derby. Jennings and Pat Williams left, signing contracts totaling roughly 53-54 Million. In turn, we signed scrubs like Anderson and Gandy. So there is a chance of getting a 3rd or 4th rounder for that, since it's determined by contract size.
  19. Maguire will still be doing College games for ESPN on Saturdays.
  20. Excellent !
  21. I don't believe any of this until ProFootballTalk.com confirms they called it a day ago.
  22. Impossible. PFT ( aguyinhisbasement.com ) said both MM and TD are coming back.
  23. TD's blueprint for 2005 had an inexperienced JP growing while the #2 D and ST's carried the club. Why do some completely forget that now ? I haven't given up on JP yet.
  24. Trade down and get extra picks. Get busy in March Free Agency with PROVEN NFL talent.
