Sharp thinking has no place at TSW. The Sacred Cow must never be critisized, not even by a Coach who developed Ken Anderson, Joe Montana, Boomer Esiason and more. Bledsoe should be the QB at present, while we continue to win. No question. Still, I'm NOT blind to his long list of shortcomings as a QB. He has made some solid throws over the last few weeks, against average to bad teams who were very beatable. He has also dropped his arm down to the point where he is sidearming most balls and making multiple throws behind the receiver. In closer games, against actual quality opponents, that will kill us. Wyche must be beside himself, watching DB's mechanics, which are inconsistent and poor. He has every right to be concerned, since he knows that will eventually come back to beat us. Winning on the road in the Playoffs, against higher quality opponenets, is a whole different animal. How much longer can the Defense and Special teams make numerous big plays to win us the game ? A good opposing Defense, at home, sticks 8 in the box and stops the running game. So it's up to Bledsoe to get those LB's and Safties off the line of scrimmage by beating them. A bit of mobility comes into play more than ever. So does making quicker reads, showing some touch on the short passes and locating a secondary receiver. He has yet to show he can beat it in 2 + YEARS ! Be it early on or later, I see Losman taking over as our starter in 2005. He wasn't drafted and paid well to ride the bench for 2 + years. Bledsoe will eventually cost us some wins in close games and the change will happen. I do NOT hate DB but can clearly see his entire game and what he has to offer as a starting QB. Blinders off. -
I don't have the entire list but the March 2005 Free Agent RB field is loaded with top names like E. James, Shaun Alexander and several other top starters. Why then would anyone trade a #1 for Travis ? They don't need to. It's a supply/demand market and the supply is there to sign better RB's without giving up anything. Henry may fetch only a 3rd or 4th round pick in the trade market. I'd actually like to trade him for a OL or DB who may be the victim of the numbers game with his current team. A proven Vet to bolster our depth.

My God. Once you come within 2 miles of the Stadium on Big Tree Rd., 20,20A, Abbott..you'll see several dozen people buying/selling tickets. Put on your best " Let's make a deal " face and get your price. There are ALWAYS tickets for sale.

What the heck - someone old explain this

Boy, did anyone catch those moves Saban made prior to the 1976 season ? Little wonder the Bills went down the tubes. Then Saban quits and Jim Ringo runs us into the ground even further. Living in a season ticket family, I was in High School at the time...also at every game. O.J. ended his holdout the day before the opener in 1976. After 1977, he was traded away to the 49ers. The Bills only played in 1 playoff game during the Simpson era, losing 32-14 to the Steelers in 1974. Ralph eventually paid O. J. but was frugal with the rest of the roster. Most good players were glad to leave. Probably has a lot to do with O. J.'s comments. -

Good job, Marc. Hit 'em true and enjoy the 19th hole (glug,glug,glug..) -
How were the bowling ball shots with Ken ? In frigid conditions, I would have done several, prior to kickoff.

Who ? No MVP love for Izell Reese ? Willis changed the course of this entire season.

Hermie. Just watched that with my daughter the other night. Hermie Pennington. Someone mentioned his ears. Obviously, you have never seen Jay Feidler. -
They borrowed the orange Hurricane jerseys last night. Smart thinking !

The media, as a whole, has always been kind to Buffalo since the late 1980's. There are always some exceptions ( Miami writers, Rick Riley of SI etc. ) but I find it funny when the Bills receive criticism in the national press and people flip out. 80-90% of the time, the national articles/talk radio banter concerning the Bills are very flattering. I get a kick out of Francessa. They broadcast his radio show on TV. He just stares straight down at his notes and never lifts his head, just mumbling. To watch that show on T.V is akin to watching paint dry.

What a bunch of chickens around here....

One does realize that , as of today, The Bills are in 4th place for the final playoff spot....which makes this thread more idiotic by the minute. -
Indeed. I remember Rick Riley of Sports Illustrated saying the Bills SB Teams were average teams from a bad AFC Conference. I wonder what this NFC homer has to say now ? Philly is pretty good, Atlanta is OK and the rest of the conference smells. ( Their records mean little to me ) . I've never seen a weaker conference in my life. The AFC just hammers the NFC in head to head games. 5-8 teams are still alive in the NFC playoff hunt... 5-8 !

But.. But.. But.. Corey Dillon didn't play
Mark VI replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cowher would be an idiot to play all his starters in the final with nothing on the line. If an injury came about, he would be crucified. Marv sat all our key players back in the day, which no one complained about. Big Ben isn't the reason the Steelers are winning. It's the running game and the defense. -
Who cares what we think ? The players seem completely focused and will fight for all 60 minutes, if the last 5 weeks have taught us anything. At some point, be it early on or later, I believe the Bills were behind on the scoreboard in all 5 games we eventually won. The players didn't panic and took care of business. Some fans should follow that lead and not pine for the panic button.

Did you get that warm and fuzzy Feeley ?
