  1. Opening Day 1980, When the Bills finally beat Miami 17-7. The goalposts were torn down, passed to the upper deck and thrown over the top. I can still remember Roosevelt Leaks diving into the end zone on a swing pass from Fergy and practically losing my hearing. I never heard a crowd erupt like that in my lifetime. Party continued onto Mulligans Brick Bar where I went from drunk to blind on Vodka Tonics. Girls were jumping up on the bar and taking their tops off. Got home at 5am and was just dying the next day. Skipped my College classes and stayed in bed. Good times.
  2. Actually, after seeing his picture in that Newsday article, he's morphing into Hermie the Dentist from Rudolph !
  3. DING,DING,DING ! We have a winner !
  4. That was my first thought also.
  5. Golic and Salisbury were just on saying " WHAT ? ". No real details yet but the insane OT, who is on IR with the Rams, apparently responded to Martz saying Turley wasn't earning his $$ this year, or something like that. Can't make up stuff like this. I'm sure a link will soon pop up. Anyone else starting to think Martz has the worst hoof in mouth problem of all time ?
  6. He probably hit the rifle store just reading this. Berg has good taste.
  7. Cowbell = erection for many at TSW
  8. I think it' only between $25 and $30. My sister and wife were with me Christmas shopping last month and caught me gushing over it.
  9. http://www.nctd.com/review-intro.cfm?Vehic...0&ReviewID=1557 That is a nice car.
  10. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo !
  11. The Beatles first 4 albums from 1964-65. (Meet The Beatles, The Beatles Second Album, Something New, Beatles'65) Each CD comes in the mini replica LP jacket, with the original front and back. They play each album through twice, with the mono and stereo versions of many songs. Nice booklet loaded with pictures and stories. Growing up in the 60's with older siblings, the Beatles albums were always playing in my house. For the older folk who can relate to those memories, I can't tell you how good this CD collection is. My sister, who owns every Beatles album, bought me this. Great music.
  12. Hell, our own local media portrayed the whole Bills organization as a hopeless leper colony, up until 2 months ago.
  13. Wow ! Did the Eagles play scrubs last night on D ? Steven Jackson ran all over them.
  14. He was thinking of all the extra $$ available for off-field marketing purposes in NYC. He has Millions and zero pity from me. I think he's way overrated.
  15. Why do people continue to make silly conclusions before the games they are watching are over ? I saw Steven Jackson run for 148 yards and the Rams running game is looking good. The desperate Rams play at home next week against the Jets, who's QB looks very shaky and is getting creamed in the papers. The Jets are a good team but NOT a lock. Completely disagree with this post.
  16. Correct. That only happens in the soft NFC .
  17. Wow. The Steelers didn't punt the last two games. That's amazing.
  18. That's a nice read. Unfortunately, reality bites. Bettis,Ben R., Deuce Staley and more need some healing and won't be around. Resting injured starters after clinching home field is part of the deal. Bills started 0-4 and no matter what happens in the next few weeks, the team is finally heading in the right direction for 2005 and beyond. BTW, we're NOT in the Playoffs yet. We need to win and get help before we can start the big talk.
  19. ..and then Indy drafted E. James and paid him more, approx 48-50 Mil. Polian didn't save any $$. I remember that story well.
  20. Agreed. You do NOT want a player on the roster who isn't happy with his backup role, regardless of his cheap contract. From what I'm hearing, he's not a happy camper these days and would welcome a chance to compete for a starting role again. Roland Hooks, Robb Riddick, Kenny Davis..they thrived in the backup role and contributed on Special Teams. Can't see Henry fitting that role at all. His agent will be calling TD in a couple months, begging out. Quit dreaming and turn the page. We're on the road to success. We don't need any nails in the tires.
  21. Watching ESPN News. Said OL Tre Thomas returned home for a personal issue. Since McNabb is already hurting, this OL shortage should trigger Andy Reid to bench McNabb. Rams have a shot at their weak didvision title next Sunday, if they can steal one tonight. Not good news for Chad and the Jets, who are taking a beating in the NY media. The pressure is on...
