GASP ! Has nothing to do with right vs. wrong. People are just venting after a heartbreaking loss.

Never seen more excuse-making for one player

Leo Roth - Will Drew Bledsoe ever beat a good team in a big game? He struggled all game with his accuracy and reads against the No. 1-ranked Steelers defense (missing eight starters by the second quarter), and threw for just 101 yards taking away a final, desperation drive. He had an interception and a fumble for a TD. He posted a 19.5 rating in the first half when the Bills fell into a 16-10 hole, then gave up the game's most crushing turnover, a fumble after a sack that the Steelers returned 18 yards for a touchdown. J.P. Losman has something to shoot for next summer — Drew's job. Grade = D Sal Maiorana - Bills QB Drew Bledsoe: Same old story. Play the Browns, Bengals, Seahawks or 49ers and Drew's your man. Play him against a team that can actually play defense, like New England, Baltimore or Pittsburgh, and forget it. Another stinker in a big game for Bledsoe as he threw an interception and lost a fumble that resulted in 10 Steelers points; he was sacked three times, had two other potential picks dropped, and compiled a QB rating of 58.9. -
Exiled. This is the internet. People use this board to express views and to vent after heartbreaking losses. This is hardly shocking behavior. The mood will gradually soften some and optimistic threads focusing on the upcoming 2005 season will soon be more frequent.

Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?

One word to describe Sunday's loss:

Key lineup changes are needed. Plus that gameplan on Offense was terrible. At least the Cigars were good. -
Haw many want Drew as the starter next year?

Talked to many during the course of the day. Nice people. I've never found them to be a bad bunch, in my many years of attending games. I wish other teams fans,as a whole, acted as well as Steeler fans. Security made rare vists into the stands.

GG made a good point. I'd like to see some run stuffing ability at DE. There is a measurable gap between the Bills and elite teams like the Pats and Steelers. I noticed both teams turned to young QB's to improve their fortunes. Both teams have excellent Kickers. Solid Line play on both sides of the ball. Seems some here don't wish to change anything and fear the next step up. Why ? If Bledsoe can't do the job, then someone elses fodder like Batch, Maddox etc. isn't the answer. It's a young guy with an actual upside. ( Losman). I would spend a 2nd,3rd rounder on Ohio St.'s Mike Nugent to be our Kicker. Making critical FG's is key. Keep a sharp eye for Line help in Free Agency. Another TE perhaps ? TD will not sit on his hands. It will be an interesting off-season. The Offensive side of the ball, including Kicker, needs the primary focus/upgrade. -
That list is comical. Brees will be Franchised and the rest are Class A fodder. I'm done with Bledsoe and the Bledsoe Lite idea. J.P. Losman was drafted #1 for a reason.

Drew looked to be throwing Cowbells all day.

I completely disagree. Every young QB is underdeveloped. Sometimes, if you push them in the pool, you'll find out how well they swim. Fear of the unknown is not a valid argument. Plenty of small college QB's showed something in the NFL.

I like your thinking.

You make a great point. Mackey was the best TE I ever saw. He could just run over the entire Defense on his way down the field. -
We would have made the playoffs and gotten our asses handed to us just one week later. Little difference. The Bills were exposed today. Now to improve this team.

What was most responsbile for our loss?

How about 'all of the above'. -

Euhus is a pass catching TE in the Jay Novachek/Brett Jones mold. Pass blocking is not his strong suit. I do like having him. I'm not sold on Campbell. He's OK but we can do better. I believe Peters future is at OT. -

Doh ! You are dead on about the TE. I would like to see that upgraded. Can't believe I forgot that. -
It doesn't seem really popular right now...but

I'm all for Losman. The playbook would be vastly different with him in the lineup. Wyche came back to develop a young QB. With the long off-season program and multiple mini-camps, prior to Fisher summer camp, there is no reason to believe Losman cannot be ahead of the normal learning curve. I'd rather see a young guy , with an actual upside, make a few mistakes and offer us some hope. Some poeple will use the Manning example to justify a Vet and other will use Ben R. to justify a Rookie can make it. Each situation is unique to itself. I'd like to see the kid get a shot. -
Cool !

Moulds is an enigma. He made a very nice catch for a first down and dropped a couple easy ones, which replay showed were right in his hands. Hard to guage him at times. -
Drew, Ryan...you are the weakest links!

Ageed, in addition to OL help. -
Agreed. The Stellers O Line just blew us off the ball.

That's a fair observation. Don't forget. TD is also the President and is very aware of Marketing/Ticket sales. He does have a pulse on what drives the fans through the gate. Just saying Drew is the starter, no matter what, will sell zero tickets. The fans may already believe Losman is the missing link. Of course it's not ALL Drew but trying to say he's a selling point at this juncture is quite foolish. -
