Not a fan of Bannon. Very short arms, meaning the OL can easily get the body on him and lock him up. Gets pushed out fairly easily and rarely ever penetrates the backfield or makes a stop at the line of scrimmage. I believe Tim Anderson will get his chance this year, making Bannons roster spot very iffy. They threw him in at Guard last year. Maybe that's not a bad idea for his future, whether it's here or not.

Dead on. As I posted before, these players don't realize the TV revenue to justify high salaries is non-existent in the NHL. None of these guys should make more than 2 Mil. If they don't like it, go work on a farm in Canada, since most never made it through high school. A great opportunity to repair a financially irresponsible sport . Who in their right mind would pay $75 for a lower bowl seat on a Tuesday night ? I feel zero pity for the players. They don't care about the long term financial health of the sport. Most have the IQ of a 10 year old. The NHL had become unbalanced, like MLB. Only 4-5 teams could pay high salaries, while Buffalo and others went on the cheap. With lower salaries and a cap, everyone could compete on an even playing field. Plus players may actually stay with a team for a while, instead of becoming mercenaries. The fans need to identify with some of these players, instead of just the logo on the jersey. This is a great opportunity to overhaul the sport. I hope the owners don't budge one bit.

If you have a Zach Thomas jersey, I'll ban you.

I like the Falcons because they ran the ball all year while the Eagles went through the air. Weather may cancel the passing game. Turnovers will be the wildcard.

" We have an agreement with the Buffalo Bills to jointly produce and broadcast new, original and local Buffalo Bills programming on the NFL Network. " Don't know how this will affect the satellite providers, who dedicated a slot for Empire Sports Network. This was basically a message to the local Adelphia cable customers in WNY. The NFL Network is replacing Empire. Now the bonus of Bills programming. I'm hoping DISH leaves channel 432 alone. Bills programming plus the NFL Network would be a HUGE upgrade for me.

Andy Reid Must Be Feeling Immense Pressure
Mark VI replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the opposite. The Eagles have been all about throwing the ball this year. Owens injury made them change the whole reason they won, on offense. Atlanta has 2 good RB's in the combo of fast Warrick Dunn and the battering ram T.J. Duckett. Last but not least, Michael Vick who scrambled for 900 + yards. Bad weather points to the Falcons, IMO. The wildcard for Philly will be how well Michael Westbrook plays. If he can't produce, then McNabb has to carry them. That's not good. -
The Steelers need to pound the ball with BOTH Bettis and Staley. Defensively, put 7-8 in the box, nuetralizing the runnings game and pressure the hell out of Brady. Let him throw those quick dump passes and little else. Pats are deserving Road favorites but the Steelers have a chance, if their dunderhead playoff Coach can stick to the plan. Run,run and run some more. Weather ( heavy snow predicted ) could play a big factor
-
McNabb can't do it all himself. Westbrook must have a big game, as well as the Philly Defense vs. Michael Vick. Hey, Reid grabbed player control and built this team the way he wanted to. If Atlanta wins, Reid becomes the biggest bridesmade Coach in history. He'll be hammered in the press, whether it's right or not. You can't go to 4 straight Conference Championship games and lose. He BETTER win or the backlash will be intense..

Two nuns are ordered to paint a room in the convent, and the last instruction of the Mother Superior is that they must not get even a drop of paint on their habits. After talking about this for a while, the two nuns decide to lock the door of the room, strip off their habits, and paint in the nude. In the middle of the project, there comes a knock at the door. "Who's there?", calls one of the nuns. "Blind man," replies a voice from the other side of the door. The two nuns look at each other and shrug, and, deciding that no harm can come from letting a blind man into the room, they open the door. "Nice breasts," says the man, "where do you want these blinds?"

A husband and wife and their two sons are watching TV. She looks at her husband and winks at him, he gets the message and says, "Excuse us for a few minutes boys, we're going up to our room for a little while." Pretty soon one of the boys becomes curious, goes upstairs and sees the door to his parents bedroom is open. He peeks in for a few minutes, trots downstairs, gets his little brother and takes him up to peek into the bedroom. "Before you look in there," he says, "keep in mind this is the same woman who spanked us, just for sucking our thumbs."

What do you call a virgin on a waterbed ? A cherry float.

Agreed. Signing a Vet with some starting experience is certainly a priority. I'm sure TD has an idea who will cut soon, due to cap considerations ( bonuses ).

March Free Agency should be interesting. If Bledsoe leaves, finding another backup QB is a must. I don't know if Shane Matthews is coming back.

Looking At The Renogiations, etc....

Adam Viniteri ! TD has finally come to his senses ! I just don't see us signing an OL to a big $$ contract. A Chris V. type, yes. R. Rich mentioned OT Tra Thomas of Philly, which isn't a bad idea at all, if he doesn't draw a bidding war. Guys like Pace, Jones, even Jennings will cost too much. Signing another Guard would also be wise. Solid TE's like the Rams Cam Cleeland or Anthony Becht of the Jets. A CB like Aaron Beasley of Atlanta or Renaldo Hill of the Cards. There is always a good group of Vet WR's to find a good #3 from. A backup RB. Re-signing Marcus Price and Pat Williams is also realistic. This what TD will shop for in March. I don't expect any big name FA signing at all. Doesn't mean we can't improve our team the right way. Then the draft can be used for some devlopmental talent, instead of using Rookies to plug holes. A solid March could mean the Bills could gamble on a Mike Nugent to upgrade our Kicking game. That WOULD make an impact. -
Face it. What backup is considered real good ? People mention Mike McMahon, who completely blew his opportunity in Detroit, or Todd Bouman or other fodder, like these guys are actually good. This just in. They're not. Few teams have a good backup. So find someone with experience that won't make the killer mistakes and hope for the best. I just don't see Bledsoe as a backup here. He wouldn't accept it.
