  1. I'll take "Dead Horses" for $1200, Alex. Move along , nothing to see here.
  2. Just to clarify what was mentioned above : NFL | Clarett Bombs in 40 Drills - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 26 Feb 2005 12:21:49 -0800 Inside the League reports former Ohio State RB Maurice Clarett opted out of the remainder of the work out portion of the combine after posting pedestrian numbers in the 40-drills. He ran the 40 twice, recording times of 4.82 and 4.79. Clarett measured in at 5-foot-11 and 234 pounds at the NFL Combine.
  3. Dennis Williams of Buffalo's CBS affiliate ( Channel 4 ) is at the Indy Combine. He mentioned on last nights 11pm newscast that the Bills may be discussing Henry with the Raiders, according to his source. Woodson was not mentioned as part of the trade. The fact that Woodson surprised the Raiders with his franchise sheet caused additional rumors to fly. The Raiders believe Woodsons' agents ( the infamous Poston Brothers ) may have a deal in principle with another team and the Raiders need to agree on some trade terms before the deal is completed. I can't see why the Bills would want a high priced CB but I keep an open mind. Woodson may not even be part of the formula but it sure is interesting.
  4. That wasn't directed at you, D. I was just using your quote and you certainly are fair in your views towards this QB situation. ..you big ugly bastard..
  5. Wise word. I'm willing to put faith in Coaches who know far more about the game of football then we'll ever know. People by the name of Mularkey, Clements and Wyche. They agreed on this change to Losman due to DB's overall poor play. I find it ironic that posters who tired quickly of the DB criticism before he was cut seem eager to start multiple threads critisizing Losman and predicting impending doom. Seems we now have 2 dead horses. One is justified to beat, the other isn't. Got it.
  6. Well, you're tall, thin and very neat. I always suspected.
  7. I'll just move it back. Leave this crap here.
  8. I bet it comes with real crack addicts and bullet holes in every wall. Not the best neighborhood, LA. Sounds like an arson sale.
  9. Little question. I thought the same thing about Norwood in SB 25. He shanked it on purpose and secretly made millions. Plus Baltimore took a huge payoff in SB 3, when they were 19 point favorites and lost to the Jets. In other news, pigs completed the first transcontinental flight Monday, landing in London with tired wings...
  10. Heck of a first post. Welcome...and get ready to duck.
  11. Ohio St. finished OK, after starting out slow. They predictably lost out on a couple Blue chippers, due to the Clarett/NCAA mess. I thought they would do much worse, so I'm pleased. They hired a guy who used to run Miami's recruiting and he secured many who normally would have bolted. Michigan and Iowa were the class of the Big 10.
  12. Blind hatred suggests he has done no wrong and I'm just singling him out for some personal type vendetta. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's all based on his overall inconsistent/horrid play and excessive salary for little production/playing small in big games. I have zero faith in his QB abilities. Our Defense and ST's lead us to victory most weeks. I could care less about DB's career stats. They don't mean a thing anymore. JP is completely unproven but won't learn sitting on the bench. I put faith in Wyche to coach him up and also TD to identify a Veteran QB who can step in if JP is not ready. The DB experiment is played and has failed for the last 2 seasons. He'll never win us a playoff game, so what's the point ? His legacy is not more important than the Buffalo Bills.
  13. In private, most all players say the same thing. Milloy could have used better judgement but decided to speak up anyhow. Dumb but hardly surprising. The Pats do spread the wealth but many players would not do as well without Belechick, thus , they sign on for a little less. Brady won't accept peanuts when his next contract is up. Once Milloy returned to the lineup this year, the Defense improved significantly. Hardly a coincidence. This reminds me of when Sam Adams has a sideline blowup earlier in the year. The next day, I read a thread where dozens of people want to cut him. Brilliant ! These guys won't be performing surgery on you in the near future. They're athletes. Sticks and stones. Get over it.
  14. 3 lbs. of cooked shrimp. Sam Adams Boston Lager.
  15. in no real order... 1. Trade Henry - OT L.J. Shelton of the Cards would be a nice prize. Package Henry with Bledsoe and maybe a draft pick. 2. Get Bledsoe off this roster- no more fools gold 3. Re-sign OT Marcus Price and Identify an OT and LG on the Free Agency market. 4. Sign a Vet QB who has some mobility and isn't a turnover machine. Charlie Batch of Pittsburgh knows the Offense. Consider others. 5. Re-sign Pat Williams , if his expectations are reasonable. 6. Redo Moulds contract - 2005 cap hit is $8,775,000. 7. Sign a TE in Free Agency. Campbell and Euhus both coming off knee surgery. 8. Sign a Vet RB in Free Agency. Versatile sort who can block, catch. A Roland Hooks, Rob Riddick, Kenny Davis type to back up Willis. 9. A Vet DE would be a good idea in Free Agency. 10. Sign a solid K in Free Agency or consider Nugent in Round 2. He's worth it. Cut Lindell . 11. Sign a Vet WR for a solid #3 option. I would like to see Nate Clements re-signed but I believe he will sit tight until after 2005 and test the FA waters. Draft day - CB,OL,S and general depth. TD has lots of work to do.
  16. Throw in Bledsoe and some other non-factors in addition to Henry.
  17. Reggie White is a gimmie. Aikman will get the support, due to the 3 SB wins. I always thought he was good but not great. I think Moon was far better. I believe Thurman is very deserving but may have to wait a year, due to the deep quality in that class. Voters will get behind Aikman first, unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong.
  18. It's been on the news for 2 days. The dog sled just brought you the telegram ? Class act. Joe Louis was robbed blind by the people around him. Had very little $$ after his boxing days. Schmeling sent him $$ for years, CNN was saying yesterday.
  19. Not bad. I'd rather have a proven player than a draft pick. Solid, not a star but could start right away while a draft pick sits on the bench, lost. In McNally, we trust. Let TD figure this out.
  20. You're rolling today, Bro !
  21. I'm old enough. He caught everything and others here will tell you the same.
  22. Good catch. I was just reading that at the Redzone and thinking the same thing. He's due to make only 3 Mil for the next 4 years, a bonifide bargain. Jennings will sign for 2 to 3 times that. No bonus $$ to pay out. Might not be a bad idea. He was highly touted, coming out of college. Would have to think TD is considering this. Let McNally whip him into shape. Plus re-sign Marcus Price and the Tackle position is solved. Then move on to LG and re-signing Nate. Would think Green would like a RB like Henry. Very interesting.
  23. Agreed but I think Reed will get in eventually. He does compare to many who are already in. Thurman and Bruce are slam dunks.
