  1. You're LAMP said " Have a great weekend " indicating you were gone until Monday. Now your back a couple hours later, complaining about other OT threads ?
  2. Here's his profile from Sept. 2004. Started 5 games at Guard for the Bears last year. They didn't waste any time deleting him off their website. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/teamRoste...ails.jsp?id=255
  3. Now you did it. Expect several signings at any moment. TD just wants to spite you.
  4. A true Classic. " Hey Darth Vader, which of these buttons do you press to call your parents ? "
  5. He would actually benefit in the form of a bonus check being presented to him, which could be spread out. Anyone remember Bledsoe last year ? He lessened his cap hit and walked away with a large bonus check. I'm sure Williams would like that.
  6. From all accounts, RB,CB and Center are the deepest positions. It's all subjective, depending who you read.
  7. That might have been the foreplay prior . That or dueling banjo's .
  8. Wow. That took courage to "out" yourself like that .
  9. That's in Deliverance country, Darin. My God. Ned Beatty has let himself go.
  10. This message brought to you by Zoloft, the relaxing little pill. Try some, at a pharmacy near you !
  11. He was the #4 Pick in the draft and that was the " market value " of signing him at that time.
  12. Yes, considering their Defense is ranked #29 and keeps them from going deep in the playoffs. Now he has little to no cap space left to address that.
  13. You guys can rip TD a new one, for all I care. He's not a Deity in my eyes. Just back it up with some intelligent ideas regarding aquiring/keeping players and fitting their salaries within the framework of the cap. It's obvious Jennings asked for far more than he's worth and found a sucker. That doesn't make TD dumb, since he has a limited cap to work with plus an idea of Jennings true worth.
  14. What a great read. You're hired.
  15. Indeed. There is always poor reasoning for why certain teams overpay. Dallas has Parcells Coaching for 1 or 2 more years. So he's overspending without any care for the next guy after him (... who will be in cap hell ) . Sna Fran just hired Mike Nolan as Head Coach and seeks instant credibility with the fan base. They need to drive ticket sales. Short term planning. Other teams believe they are one player away and will take the leap. I don't see any T. Owens types in this Free Agent class. So sitting in the sidelines for a couple days while some player agents sober up is always a prudent move. I still believe the Bills will improve the OL and get some other good players in the next few weeks. Still lots of good players out there at positions of need. Unlike the Hot Pockets crowd, I'm not going to wail every day until it happens. I enjoy the speculation, discussion and rumors. The outright crying threads without any substance, will start to vanish. They add nothing to the forum.
  16. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8249573 "Market Value" wasn't the term mentioned for Jennings. T Jonas Jennings to the San Francisco 49ers: As we said, this is the worst move in free agency so far. Why in the heck the 49ers would pay a so-so tackle a contract that includes $14 million in bonus money is beyond imagination. Jennings is a decent player, but he isn't worth that kind of money. Agent Todd France should be put in the Agent Hall of Fame for getting that kind of deal. We know the 49ers have money to burn, but is signing an average player on the line a good move? It isn't in this space. "Worst deal I've seen," said one personnel director. "But hold on. I'm sure there's more to follow."
  17. Kobe admitted to having an affair with her. It was a mistake and he shouldn't be flogged for it. But settling for millions puts him in a bad light, no matter how he tries to spin this. Trying to defend him on rumor and innuendo is not wise. He will NOT come out of this without a tarnished image.
  18. Market Value, the term you're hung up on today, doesn't equate to $$ value based on performance. It's a parallel in comparison of contracts of other overpaid tackles. If TD had offered him that contract, then I'd know he's lost his mind, regardless of how much cap space he was working with. Giving an average to good OT that kind of $$ is just plain stupid. Walter Jones or some other top Tackles are worth it. Jennings is not.
  19. Nice job, Kelly What KTFBD is saying is WIlliams went undrafted and took some time to become a good player. Hardly dominating at Texas A&M. The guy playing next to him for the Aggies, Sam Adams, was dominating and became a 1st round pick. I saw Anderson play every game for Ohio St. and know he's a mega strong plugger of a DT who needs some work with his technique. Good against the run and can get a bit of a push. A 3rd round pick with an upside and a year under his belt. Ron Edwards played very well last year and why people can't see that is beyond me.
  20. Mostly due to past rep and inflated worth. Otherwise, most wouldn't be Unrestricted Free Agents.
  21. I'm mapquesting the nearest bridge.
  22. He wanted to play OT and signed with KC. Moot point, since the Bills didn't need an OT at the time. From What I read, he missed many games in 2004 with a foot injury.
  23. Flashback - to March 2004 " WE MUST HAVE CHRIS BOBER " " Bober will be our starting Center ! " " Why isn't Bober here yet ? What's wrong with TD ? " " Has anyone seen Bober, MY BOY, at the Airport yet ? " No one knew who the hell this guy was, outside of McNally. Suddenly, many hyped him into a guy we couldn't live without.
  24. Hands of Stone Ron Garvin vs Arn Anderson.
  25. I've given up all hope for the 2005 season and lost my common sense. Still weigh the same.
