That will never happen. Besides, Darins' sarcastic bastard persona is his most endearing quality.

Sorry. Roid boy has too many injuries and legal problems coming up in his immediate future.
-
Interesting. The Cards are running out of suitors for Shelton, outside of the Bills.

Many times. A true classic, right along with Nosferatu, the 1922 German silent about Dracula. Both are favorites of mine.

I saw that Film ! Fellini at his best !

You can keep Law at a low salary and throw him a bonus check, to be spread out over 2-4 years. The cap hit would be minimal for the 1st couple of years. Law still gets some cash up front and everyone is happy. It's not a reach at all.

Indeed. Kelly failed to hit the bullet points.

I can't even reach Buffalobills.com. Anyone else having that problem for the last hour ?

all time worst season by a bills qb ever

Thank You, Yoho. How sad was that ? His replacement later that year was Kay Stevenson, later our coach. His stats: 29-79 36.7 % 364yards 4-TD's 7-INT's 1-12-1 that year. -
DT Kevin Carter - 5 Yr 30 Mil From Fins

I made a mistake in my title. Carter to be used as a DT, though he has experience at both positions. I'll go and edit it. My fault. -

We don't mind the rumors,as long as they are not far fetched and obviously made up. I used to see others post here with some rumors which turned out to be dead on, only to be run off the board by people screaming for links or concrete proof. Then came the name calling. I'd rather read this than some of the mind numbing drivel which has nothing to do with football. Let's discuss this as a possiblity, albeit a rumor and figure out why the Bills may be entertaining this idea.

Yup. That there was actually football before the Kelly years is urban legend to some.

Outside of the Bills, they were my favorite team to watch. Fouts playing catch with Charlie Joiner,Wes Chandler and John Jefferson. Kellen Winslow at TE. Muncie was a great talent and couldn't get off the drugs. I remember the legendary Jerry McGee writing that Coryell had no interest in the Defense and left that up to his asst. coaches. Reminds me of Spurrier. The Chargers would always give up 31-35 points a game.

Can't argue with those picks. I hope someone doesn't say Polian. He brings in a Defensive minded Coach and finishes in the bottom 5 in Defense. Has a star DE in Freeney and a very good MLB in Peterson. The other 9 guys are subpar. Reminds me of the Air Coryell San Diego Chargers of the '70's and '80's. Exciting on Offense and could never reach the big dance because they never had a solid D. A good defense beat them every time. Has not done a good job of balancing the cap whatsover ( Manning-34.5 Mil bonus..absurd ) .

Jermaine Wiggins - TE

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1864 Here's a guy who can flat out block. Doesn't catch much, outside of short TD's. Vet minimum. Peters is still here, along with Trafford. Can't see a big investment at TE, with other more glaring needs ( OT,OG ) I guess a lot depends on how the Bills see the healing progress of Campbell and Euhus. -
The decision to promote Losman this early may have

Not defending JP at all, Bill. Still I don't keep trying to tell my daughter "'you don't deserve a chance, since you'll probably fail " everyday either. Call me crazy. It's not in my person. Begs the question why ? Mularkey explained he wanted a lot more from that position and wanted the switch. Ask him. I found it humorous in an earlier posting that a DB supporter deferred credit away from Big Ben R. for the Steelers success. Said the Steelers won due to the Running game, the D etc. Stated you couldn't rely on Big Ben to win a game for you. ( These are comments regarding a Rookie, mind you ) Yet these same observations about 11 year Vet DB were always shouted down. LOL ! -

No argument whatsover on having doubts. But Bledsoe was a QB that Mularkey and Co. wanted OFF the roster. There is little doubt about it. As for handing the QB job to an unproven high draft pick, that's been done hundreds of times in NFL history. Hell, the Bills have done so with Richie Lucus, James Harris, Dennis Shaw, Joe Ferguson, Todd Collins. Kelly came from the USFL and was handed the job, without any NFL experience, if you wish to get technical. In the Cap age, this is even more likely to happen. John Kitna went to the Pro Bowl with Cinci, only to be handed a clipboard behind Carson Palmer in 2004. JP will get yanked in a heartbeat if he's completely befuddled and losing us games. The Bills believe Holcomb will make good decisions and keep us in the game. (Unlike Bledsoe, who could blow up many a game with galling turnovers) Holcomb will be 32 come the 2005 season and has around 3,800 yards for his entire career. If he was starting material, he would have kept his job in Cleveland. JP is raw but has 3 times the athletic ability Holcomb has. I'll defer to the coaching staff, especially Wyche (who developed Joe Montana as the San Fran QB coach under Walsh and also Boomer Esiason in Cinci. ). I'm excited about the upcoming season, since I believe the QB position has improved with JP and Holcomb on the roster. I'm a glass half full kind of person and aware of all the revisionist history of football. -
LJ Shelton news from a Bears fan in Arizona...

Pfffft. A lot you know about 40oz beers. Go ask the Pimps hanging around Tahou's. They'll straighten you out. -

Here's what is happening. The Bills are trying to trade for Shelton but Henry wants a long term deal. Denny Green just ran into George Seifert at the Phoenix airport and has completely freaked, thinking Bidwell has already bailed on him. So now he wants to hurry and trade Shelton to get Henry and calm Bidwell... only TD is sitting at home in his PJ's enoying a day off, knocking out a pack of Pall Malls and drinking his 2nd Old English 40oz. beer. Meanwhile the phone rings at his house and Green is just screaming for mercy. So TD says he's not interested unless he takes Nate Clements with Henry and gives him Shelton, LB Karlos Dansby and his #1 pick in April. TD inhales a drag while Green just snaps and starts cursing non-stop. Then TD slowly exhales and says " Take it or leave it " and hangs up. Laughing , he finishes off his Old English and chucks the bottle into the corner of his living room. The phone rings again and Caller ID shows it's Green again. I think we'll hear something this week. Might be a little different from what I imagined...er...I mean...HEARD. Yeah, that's the ticket. From what I heard. -
Looks like a bunch of kids made this up and are talking smack, killing time.
-
If McNally watched film on him and told TD he can be a solid addition, that's good enough for me.
-
He said " Our Offense isn't good enough ", not specifying the line. Still, you'll get little argument from most of us. I agree with Tucker. He may be a nice versitile backup but what this line lacks is a good push in the running game. Mike Williams and Chris Villarial did fairly well, on the right side. The pass protection was OK and obviously will look better with the mobile Losman. A replacement needs to be identified for Jennings, who was OK in pass protection and below average in the running game. If Shelton is that guy, so be it but a few other starting Tackles are available and plenty of Guards. Let's see how Free Agency shakes out. Too early to express concern.
