  1. So we can conclude TD is Jonesing on Roids ?
  2. Hey Popeye, mine is Surf and Turf.
  3. Positive news is boring. Hasn't this board taught you anything ?
  4. Sporting News Radio used to have him as a backup. Impossible to listen to the guy beyond 10 minutes. Seems to have no idea what he's talking about on most any subject. Wants to be controversial and uses horrible examples to make his point. Watching him and Woody Paige debate is akin to watching 2 drunks fight over White Lightning at the City Mission.
  5. Paris and Nicole go live with each of them for a month.
  6. Never. I'm too busy deleting.
  7. What's dumber. Posse or Cowbell ?
  8. http://www.ourlads.com/OurladsTop64.html Based on Ourlads top 64, I believe TD is just trying to give himself more options. There are 5 CB's ranked between #21-40. The future replacement for Clements perhaps ? Would one or more drop to #44, if we did move up 11 spots ? DT Anttaj Hawthorne of Wisconson impressed Krumrie and the other coaches at his pro day. Huge, strong and could fill the roster spot of Pat Williams. OL is the obvious crying need, even if the trade for Shelton is completed. Guards Elton Brown- Virginia, David Baas-Michigan and Chris Kemoeatu-Utah all have the size and talent to start immediately, as per most top scounting services. So does Claude Terrell of New Mexico, who could be there in the 3rd round.
  9. Barbara Feldon - My Dad sure liked her a lot. That was comedy writing at it's best. Buck Henry and Mel Brooks.
  10. I may buy Get Smart on DVD. 13 discs, all 138 episodes. Sells for around $100. My favorite show from that era of TV.
  11. Sleeper = midget He measured 5-5 at the Senior Bowl.
  12. Sounds like a cosmopolitan type of weekend.
  13. If talk is a parallel to performance, he should have a great year in Dallas.
  14. That's correct. They signed Titans OT Fred Miller for 5 years and something around 17 Mil. Last year, they signed KC OT John Tait for 30 Mil. They are done looking for OT's.
  15. Hull was never going to make the HOF anyhow. I'm not surprised that many players from that era were on Roids. I still like the guys but the NFL wasn't exactly discouraging use of roids, prior to 1989. Both the players and the teams, who probably encouraged players with fears of not making the roster, are responsible.
  16. It's still hard to understand your point when you don't bring coaching into this equation whatsoever. Your argument is based completely on talent, as if they go out and win games based solely on their Madden ratings. TD has been an average drafter and I'll never argue that point. Based on your thread title, I expected you to list multiple round 3-7 picks who have starred for the Pats. The list given by Darin debunked the entire angle. It still comes down to Coaching and having the right QB. Funny how when Brady became QB, the Pats suddenly became a top team. They struggled badly with Bledsoe. The entire roster and Coaching staff became brilliant overnight. Even the great Belichick couldn't overcome DB.
  17. The author, Tony Moss, is based out of Philly and covers Division 1-AA college football for the sportsnetwork. com. In reviewing his credentials, I see no mention of him ever covering NFL football. Looks like a filler off-season article for an internet site. Take his " expertise " ( snicker ) at face value.
  18. So he's been in prison ? Thanks. I'm here all week.
  19. Play both positions at the same time ? I know all about Baas but some believe there is some huge dropoff after him. That's not true. There are 4-5 guys which we could pick in either Round 2 or 3 who could start on the OL right away. The quality is there. Baas may be the best of the bunch, but not the one and only option.
  20. The 2nd round pick swap this year or a conditional pick in 2006, based on performance. Low 2nd day pick if he bombs or a 3rd if he gets 1200 + yards...something of that nature. Baas would be fantastic in Round 2 but as R.Rich and other have shown, this is a good draft for Guards and Centers. Lots of quality in Rounds 2 and 3. Huge, talented players who could actually step in and start immediately, as per the scouting reports.
  21. Reporter Allen Wilson covering the NFL meetings in Hawaii gave this report. - Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green said Wednesday that the team still has interest in trading for digruntled Bills running back Travis Henry. The Cardinals are offering left tackle L.J. Shelton, but the Bills apparently don't feel they are getting a fair exchange with the player-for-player deal. Green is intrigued by Henry's skills. " I think he's tough as hell. " Green said. " He's got exceptional balance ,which allows a guy to get a lot of yardage. He's smart but powerful, compact, very difficult to tackle. I think he's a good player " - Trading for Shaun Alexander or drafting a RB in Round 1 are mentioned as other, but far more expensive, options. Sounds like some final haggling is going on before the trade is made. Not etched in stone but it's nice to hear this coming straight from Green. He does like Henry.
