  1. As much as I dig McCoy, he's definitely not going to survive long behind this O-Line. Cheap free agent offensive tackles, here we come!
  2. Not a bad way of looking at things at all. *Cue the person who's going to bring up Ken Dorsey*
  3. On the flip side of things, the LB FA class is insanely deep. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2010/fa/lb.html If we don't solve our LB issues next year in FA, I'll be even more pissed than I was this year.
  4. Early free agent QBs are pretty abysmal (we're talking Jason Campbell is the best name on the list)
  5. Obviously a lot depends on the rest of the season. He did look a little tentative to me in his first game back, but numbers dont lie...he still was very productive. Whether it be Bradford or McCoy, hell I'd be happy. I want a true LEADER at QB, not this wishy-washy "just trying my best" attitude I've seen over the last decade.
  6. Actually this year (even more so if Bradford decides to come out) is considered one of the best top-to-bottom QB classes in years.
  7. John Fox to me is becoming more and more likely as the next Bills HC. He's certainly going to get canned in Carolina but has (mostly) fielded competitive and tough teams. He won't break the bank like the Holmgrens, Cohwers and Shannys of the world (so you know Ralph likes that), but has a decent track record with a SB appearance to boot. One thing I dont know though, is he a "rah-rah" type of guy or more of the silent zombie type, a la Jauron?
  8. No way Bradford comes out this year, not after that injury.
  9. Jack Locker to me is this year's version of Jason Campbell or Alex Smith or Josh Freeman, the QB who rises high in the draft despite his stats and limitations. I do like Sam Bradford as well, but odds are he'll stay in for another season so he can make those scouts forget about his shoulder injury. McCoy to me just seems like the perfect situation. He's a franchise QB who has all the intangibles and ridiculous accuracy (broke the NCAA record for highest accuracy rating in a single season with 78%). He throws a nice deep ball and the guy just overflows with confidence that can inspire his teammates to be better. The only slam on him is he's not a great athlete (standing at 6'2), but I think its been proven time and time again that its better to be just a damn good QB then it is to have great benchpress numbers.
  10. Trent will still be on the Bills, but he'll have competition. <---------------------------
  11. Derrick Johnson is a FA after this season...wouldn't surprise me at all to see him end up a Bill next season.
  12. Only two high-priced offensive tackles away from average!
  13. I mentioned this is another thread, but McCoy reminds me a lot of Drew Brees...meaning that he's NOT a Manning, Favre (in his prime) or Brady where you could stick him anywhere and he'd put up crazy numbers and wins. He'll need to be protected, so upgrading the OT spots would be a FA priority...but very few college QBs I've ever seen has his level of accuracy and, more importantly, field leadership. The guy is a commander of the troops in every possible way.
  14. I'd say that linebacker could be easily upgraded in free agency since early reports have the 2010 FA LB class to be loaded...BUT if last offseason is any indication, we won't do a damn thing about it. If the Bills TRULY want a strong leader at QB, they should draft McCoy. He's a Drew Brees clone, IMO (including the similar pre-draft disputes over athleticism).
  15. So we either grovel or have no team. Great choices.
  16. Tell him I'll give him back some of his merchandise if he does it.
  17. However...his overall record as a HC is 205-139-1 with 8 division titles...and the last time he coached he managed to get to 14-2. I know, never made the SB, sucks in the playoffs...but still waaaaaaaaaaay better than what we have.
  18. Freeman is brought up from the PS. Pat Thomas is brought back. End (or beginning) of the sad story.
  19. <--------------------
  20. I actually agree with this. Palmer excels as a cover linebacker, something the other LBs simply can't do.
  21. Its True http://twitter.com/ADAM_SCHEFTER I'm sure the NYC media will be just as forgiving as the Cleveland media was over Braylon's dropsies. Still though, if he can control that issue...he is a monster. Not that we could compete with the Jets anyways, but this does make them harder to beat.
  22. They did an interview with Marty at the beginning of last season on ESPN, and he (paraphrasing) said "When the right job comes up, I'll be back in the NFL"
  23. What is most annoying, and it's been harped on before, but the linebacker issues could have been seen after last season and the Bills did absolutely nothing to improve their depth in the offseason. It's frustrating beyond belief when everyone can see the problem and the FO pretends it doesn't exist.
