  1. Now who's going to get bowled over 8 yards down the field?
  2. Agreed. We'll be in a great position to grab one of (if not the) top offensive line prospects in this year's draft. Use the first rounder on an O-Lineman, then see who's available in the 2nd at the QB position. As has been noted before, this draft is considered to be one of the best in a looooooooong time so we'll have some options at the top of Round 2.
  3. From the updated article: Wilson discounted reports that the team is interested in interviewing Mike Shanahan, the former Denver Broncos coach. "I don't know anything about him," he said, adding the team will be releasing a statement later in the day to address the speculation. Well so ends that pipe dream. Hello Kevin Gilbride.
  4. I'm starting to agree. Considering John's article about Ralph not wanting to make any moves until "after the season" and this just posted on Adam Schefter's Twitter page: http://twitter.com/ADAM_SCHEFTER "With Mike Shanahan, Bills are going Big Bear Hunting. At very least, they can tell their fans they hunted the Big Bear and took their shot." It all makes me think that we are going to say in public we are going after the big fish, but instead bag ourselves a minnow when the time comes to actually hire a coach. I'm fully expecting a Haslett or Killdrive or nameless CFL coach to be our next HC.
  5. If the Bills wait until after Jan 3rd to conduct interviews, there is no way they'll land a big time head coach.
  6. Jim Haslett would be more than welcome in Buffalo. As long as Shanahan brings him in as a d-coordinator.
  7. Shanahan: "So listen, I know people have been on me lately for the failure in my defensive schemes...so after doing some research I found this GREAT scheme that is sure to dominate here in Buffalo. It's called the Cover 2! *awkward silence* Ralph: "I like it."
  8. Now this move I like. Heck, I'd see if we could get him some playing time during the last couple of games of the season.
  9. According to BB.com, the guy is hurting...I'm going to say his streak ends this week. Which of course means he'll bring down 5.
  10. Adam Schefter just posted this on his Twitter account in response to a Shanahan question: He's listening, isn't he? RT @vanetti210: @Adam_Schefter You know shanahan..would he even consider the Bills? http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter
  11. Linky no worky. Nothing on WTOP's website either.
  12. I've had my hopes and dreams crushed before, so I can almost guarantee that the Bills will do it again and hire one of these three coaches as opposed to Shanny. Lets hope this guarantee goes right up there with my Robert Ayers prediction.
  13. I dont know why we are getting excited. Its going to be Haslett or one of the other pathetic excuses for coaches.
  14. Marty would be a great fit here...Hell, he already won Buffalo a championship as a player...time to come home and win us another as the coach!
  15. Always hire the GM first. If we get a great football guy in charge he'll be able to mold this team from the ground up.
  16. You know, even though he's got to be pushing 70 by now...we DO have Buddy Nix already on staff. To me that's a no-brainer.
  17. I'd prefer Perry as well...although I wonder how April would take that. Isn't he technically the assistant head coach?
  18. Haslett strikes me as the most likely suspect as well. And I hate that.
  19. Jack Del Rio. Also, another name that people might want to pay attention to is Jim Haslett. Obviously not my choice, but that's an ultimate Buffalo move right there.
  20. That was only 9 games too late.
  21. The Bills don't trade down. They trade up for the likes of JP Losman and John McCargo.
  22. Its going to be Jack Del Rio.
  23. Well gents it's been fun. I'm off to pick up the (future) missus from work. Someone buzz me if Byrd picks off another one.
  24. Looks like a three and out...the staple of the Dick Jauron offense.
  25. More examples of Front Office ineptitude. How many linebackers did they bring in for a visit during the offseason? And how many of them did they sign? Why even bother trotting them in here if you are just going to whiff on every chance to upgrade the LB corps? I know its been said but this entire FO cupboard needs to be cleared. Keep Brandon but put him back in charge of Marketing, get a football guy in here to make football decisions.
