  1. I don't know, Cole reported it from his sources on Yahoo and they plastered it all over the main page when it broke. Cole has a great reputation and has broken a lot of other sports news before on Yahoo, not just NFL-related stories. I do truly believe we will interview Billick fairly shortly.
  2. If Cowher is truly out of the race, keep an eye on Billick.
  3. You're right. We probably passed on him for Brian Schottenheimer or some other equally sad coordinator.
  4. If Marty comes and brings Brian with him...fine. But this is looking more and more that no established coach wants anything to do with us and we'll be stuck with Brian by himself.
  5. There you go. Cowher is done. Now lets get back to interviewing Cameron! He had an amazing run in Miami!
  6. Don't worry, the Bills are closing in on Brian Schottenheimer or Cameron!
  7. God, if Brian Schottenheimer comes here I'm not renewing my season tickets.
  8. Mike Leach to Oakland. Mark it down.
  9. Methinks the Bills already have a HC in place...
  10. I was thinking the same thing. I love how it took that long for her to figure out that she was "injured". Don't jump on me now, totally not defending what Lynch did...but this is so clearly an attempt to wiggle some more cash out of the situation.
  11. Oh goodie, we get to humiliate ourselves against Cleveland for a third year.
  12. To get back to the OP, one would think that it would be impossible for us to screw this one up with the level of talent in this year's draft (and who knows who will declare in the next few weeks). That being said, I'd go with the best OT available at this point. Hell, maybe spend our 2nd rounder on a top OT prospect as well depending who's available. I strongly believe that the Bills are going to look to FA or a trade in order to bring in a QB.
  13. I hear he carries quite the boom stick.
  14. I don't believe that Cole had any knowledge of the "meeting" between Cowher and the Bills that occurred when he wrote this article. Before that news leaked out, it did look like Cowher had "rebuffed" them. To be completely honest though, you gotta love the crazy misinformation that is going on right now. Clayton reports Cowher wont come here, Schefter reports that Cowher is interested and had a productive meeting. Cole says that Billick is coming here while Peter King says that he won't get an interview.
  15. So we'll be seeing Cowher in Tampa Bay on Monday then?
  16. Please. We would have achieved that with Peters on the team, we're that good.
  17. <Emperor> Good. Goooooooooooooood. </Emperor>
  18. Agreed...if we're going to go the coordinator route, lets at least go with Rivera. He's had success and is considered around the league to be a future head coach one day. As opposed to Schottenheimer's kid who is considered around the league to continue being Schottenheimer's kid.
  19. Ladies and Gentlemen, your next head coach of the Buffalo Bills! http://www.insidesocal.com/tomhoffarth/BrianBillick2.jpg I am SO glad I was able to find a reason to bring that picture up again. And Billick is fine in my books, great football mind and someone who would bring some good coordinators with him.
  20. Now this should be the million dollar question with Rivera. Much like Greggo, his defensive prowess is unquestioned. But he would HAVE to be paired with a successful O-Coordinator or we'll be spinning our tires yet again. To be honest, I feel that this discussion may be moot...from everything the Bills FO have said over the last few days I feel like they already have a pretty good idea who the next head coach is going to be.
  21. If we can't land a top tier veteran HC and are forced to hire a coordinator to become our HC, then Ron Rivera is at the top of my list (followed by Russ Grimm). He sure as hell would be better than the Martzs, Hasletts and Gilbrides of the world.
  22. Josh Reed isn't a poor man's Andre Reed, he's a homeless man's Andre Reed.
  23. Him and Chuck Lester must know where Ralph hides the bodies.
  24. I dont think there is a doubt in anyone's mind that he will try. Nix said something interesting during the press conference that when it comes to head coaches...there is a part of every great coach that forces them to go out and keep proving themselves. What better way for Marty to prove himself then come into the place where he started his career and finally get to a Superbowl? If Marty isn't our head coach in a month, then he truly wants to stay retired and never coach again.
