  1. It's tough to win in the UFL, Donte.
  2. From our buddies at PFT (and originally speculated on by Michael Smith) http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...nnel-is-coming/ Granted it's just a brief mention...but hey, any news to chew on.
  3. As predicted, PFT is now running with this story as well.
  4. If only there was a stalker-ish way we could check airport flights!
  5. Yup...time to welcome Leslie Frazier to Buffalo!
  6. Good find! If Russ Brandon's response isn't "Whatever you want it to be, Bill" then he needs vulgarities to be spray painted on his lawn.
  7. Fox falling to us in the 2nd would be FAN-friggin-tastic. That would be 2 instant starters on our squad.
  8. You know what would instantly put my mind at ease? If Nix was the ONLY person who was going to make this call. I know in the press conference he said that he would be the one to hire the coach...but we all know that's a lie. Russ and Ralph will get a say and probably find a way to screw it up big time. If Nix was simply interviewing everyone and using his judgment to pick the best possible coach, I would be content with whoever he sees fit to hire. I'd trust him to make the right call. But no, Ralph is more than likely pulling strings and we'll hire the worst possible suitor.
  9. I think they may have figured out the whole slow start thing...
  10. I guarantee if the Bills offered the job to Billick, he'd take it.
  11. He definitely is someone you can build a Defense around. As has been discussed, the Bills appear to be in a position where they simply cannot screw up this pick. It's a loaded draft (even with a LOT more juniors yet to declare) and the Bills are going to be in a position to draft an impact player.
  12. If Billick comes to Buffalo and gives us year after year of pedestrian offenses...and a Superbowl victory...I'll consider it an even trade-off
  13. Hey look! It's Enrico Pallazzo!
  14. I'll be totally honest Promo, if the Bills hire another coordinator who has not proven himself as a head coach then I'll lose it. I just can't stand this string of coordinators who come in, flop and move on in 3 years. I've tried to remain optimistic but this all seems like more of the same. All of those individuals listed are good coordinators (and one college head coach who everyone on this board has a crush on) but I want someone who's been to the big dance as a head coach before. I would take Billick, with all of his bluster, in a heartbeat over anyone on that list.
  15. The Bills really do love losing, don't they?
  16. Not only a defensive minded one, but a former DB with a love affair of the Cover 2. Now I'll take Frazier over the Gilbrides, Treastmans and Hasletts of the world...but he's still pretty low on my wish list compared to the other rumored names.
  17. Ugh though...this guy seems to love the Tampa 2...
  18. I'd be okay with Leslie Frazier (in a similar way that I'd be okay with Ron Rivera or Russ Grimm) but ONLY if we offer the job to Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer AND Brian Billick first. If they all shoot us down, then go the coordinator route.
  19. If you want to take this further, one would argue that Cameron was a terrible head coach in the college ranks when he had his shot as well. Working with Indiana, the guy went 18-37 in his career with 0 National Championships and 0 bowl appearances. Jimmy Johnson, who also went 1-15 his first year as an NFL head coach, had a 52-9 overall record and a National Championship to his credit while working in the college ranks. Cameron is a great coordinator, no question about it and is someone I would love to see in Buffalo as a coordinator. But they guy just doesn't seem to be cut out for a head coaching job.
  20. I look at the guy who went 1-15 as a head coach.
  21. I hope he gets one of those jobs...did the best he could with a terrible situation.
