  1. I call it a "jump to conclusions" mat!
  2. Something also to note in that chat...Guy's contract is up in May, which may be why we haven't fired him yet. Just collect your pay for the next few months and we just won't renew.
  3. How dare you insult the offensive prowess of the Bubster? He is the only QB I've ever seen have a pitch play picked off.
  4. MAYBE bring him in as a O-Line coach. Maybe.
  5. Which they then followed with seven straight 11 (or more) loss seasons. Even we don't suck that bad.
  6. Don't get me wrong, totally not endorsing or supporting Mike Nolan. Just pointing out his similarities with Frazier.
  7. I'm 100% convinced that Al Davis has someone already picked out to replace Cable. There is a 2% chance that he's decided on me.
  8. One would argue that the job he did with Denver's horrid Defense was nothing short of astounding this season. However, the point is moot...both Frazier and Nolan are products of the players they have (had), not the systems they run (ran).
  9. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...es-fired-today/ Thankfully, this has absolutely nothing to do with us. Oakland is actually less desirable a coaching destination than Buffalo.
  10. I'd still put him above Frazier.
  11. Glazer tweeted about it yesterday, but keep an eye out on Mike Nolan.
  12. My only hope is that since all of these coordinators are declining, the Bills will be forced to bring in Billick for an interview.
  13. Brian Billick continues to stare at his phone.
  14. I hope everyone realizes that our HC job is down to Leslie Frazier and Brian Schottenheimer (maybe). Yikes, we've fallen far.
  15. d. A smart man told me: "Watch out for Ron Rivera in Buffalo.'' Not buying it, but the man is smart, so I wanted to throw it out there. e. A smart man in Buffalo told me: "They love Leslie Frazier.'' Bills interviewed him for five hours Thursday, and as I said on NBC Saturday night, he's the leader in the clubhouse for that job, but so many golfers are still out on the course -- like Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. 8. I think the reason the silence is deafening with Bill Cowher right now is simple: What can the guy say? We all know he wants to coach sometime soon, and maybe this year if the job is right. If he doesn't know with certainly which jobs will be open, how can he come out and say he's either coaching or not coaching? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ.../10/mmqb/4.html
  16. I see us trading away a late rounder for Michael Vick.
  17. I'd be okay with Garrett.
  18. Here is a somewhat current list (as of Dec 1st) of FA OTs available. This list is under the assumption that there is no collective bargaining agreement (so guys like Penn, McNeil are not listed as UFAs). Now obviously this list increases once teams start releasing players, but the pickings are pretty slim. Chad Clifton Damion Cook Mike Gandy Brandon Gorin Cornell Green Jon Jansen Levi Jones Damion McIntosh Tony Pashos Ephraim Salaam Barry Sims Wade Smith Mark Tauscher Ryan Tucker Langston Walker Mike Williams The only players I like out of that list are Wade Smith (who fluctuates between OT and OG, but really looked good blocking for Jamaal Charles this year), Tony Pashos and Levi Jones (who started to get his feet back underneath him towards the end of the season)
  19. 2007 was the horrible Bobby Petrino year in Atlanta where he abandoned the team and left all of his players and coaches out to dry. Before that Zimmer spent 7 years as Dallas' D-Coordinator (spanning through 4 coaches) and was obviously thought of pretty well if Bill Parcells choose him as his D-Coodrinator.
  20. I'd actually be okay with Zimmer. He's put together some very nice Defenses everywhere he's been (except for that one abortion year he coached Atlanta's D, but I'll give him a mulligan on that one). I'm very impressed with how he's made the Bengals Defense relevant after nearly 10 years of below-average play.
  21. And yet folks will still hold out hope that Cowher is going to ride in here on a white stallion and save the Bills franchise. Ain't gonna happen...people need to just get ready for the upcoming HC disappointment. As echoed before though, I'm wondering how the Bills FO will try and spin whatever coordinator they hire as the new HC. We all know that Brandon is painfully aware of ticket sales and how much hiring a Frazier, Harbaugh or Brian Schottenheimer would negatively impact those numbers. Perhaps another sideshow FA signing to keep us distracted?
