  1. Agreed. You may see Thigpen released now, but it wont be until training camp. The Bills cant wait that long to find a QB.
  2. Keep an eye out for the Bills to bring in Wade Smith. He's got experience with Gailey and can play all 5 spots on the O-Line.
  3. Just to let everyone know, the Chargers did not tender Charlie Whitehurst so he is up for grabs. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/03/04/c...lent-available/
  4. Man, if only the Bills didn't have so many holes...I would love the idea of Berry and Byrd roaming the defense for the next decade.
  5. Thought this was interesting to note, considering that Incognito was not tendered. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/03/04/i...o-not-tendered/ But once head coach Chan Gailey indicated at the combine that both Demetrius Bell and Eric Wood were considered “ahead of schedule,” to me it signaled that Incognito was probably going to become a free agent.
  6. Count me in on this. Especially with Gailey's history of success with scrambling QBs.
  7. Go Nix! Get him on the phone and bring him here NOW. Bring you boy to Buffalo.
  8. Very stupid move, we seriously had no depth to begin with. Unless the Bills are planning on bringing 2-3 free agents and 2-3 draft picks, we'll actually be worse off than we were last year.
  9. I'd actually be okay with both of those players. You have to remember that Warren did rebound in Denver for a bit so we know the talent is there. Plus, his starting experience trumps anything we currently have on roster at NT. If we end up trading Lynch (which, I think is a bad idea but a likely outcome), then bringing in Huggy Bear would help soften the blow.
  10. Exactly. I'm not an Ellison fan by any means, but if there is a possibility of someone offering up a draft pick for Ellison before we cut him later in the offseason, I'm all for it.
  11. Someone has got to replace McKinney. Sign him up.
  12. I would agree. In fact, I'll be very frustrated if we use a high draft pick on a LB considering there is a decent amount of talent available (or soon will be available) in free agency. I also think there is more talent at the 3-4 DE position in this free agent class than most people give it credit for.
  13. Cody or Thomas...I'd be happy either way. I'm getting a really nervous feeling though that passing on Cody is going to make a lot of teams look foolish in a few years.
  14. Here's the article: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...4d-89e54d231034 I especially like this quote from Nix towards the end. "We can't do everything in a one-year period," he said. "And we can't do everything through the draft. So we have to plug in some holes according to what's available. These other guys that are restricted on some other teams, we don't know what's going to happen with them yet, but we will try to plug in some holes before the draft." That all sounds well and good, but the one thing I hope the Bills do is continue to add players AFTER the Draft as well. Sometimes you'll see a player get cut post-Draft or cut during Training Camp who could help our team, but the past Bills regimes seemed to just completely ignore free agency once the Draft was over. I hope that Nix will do as he said during his press conference and "fill in the gaps" once the Draft is over as well.
  15. Man I hope not. The only good news is that due to his horrible Combine performance, Davis may have fallen out of the temptation range of the Bills.
  16. Thats my memory of him as well. Considering he got the 5-sentence treatment from BuffaloBills.com, clearly they don't expect too much from the guy. But hey, we've been surprised in training camp and pre-season before (see Jackson, Fred)
  17. Couldn't one argue the fact that since 5 different clubs wanted him in the first place he must be doing something right? Odds are it's just a training camp move...we always see these from the Bills right before free agency kicks off. But I'm definitely not dismissing anyone at this point. Except Kelsay. He's been dismissed.
  18. I vaguely remember him when he played for LSU.
  19. That would definitely make the most sense. However, what makes "common sense" does not always make "Bills sense".
  20. Definitely LB and WR. I feel like the Bills will look to veterans to solve their 3-4 LB issues (with guys like Larry Foote, Nick Eason or Joey Porter springing to mind). Also, the Chris Chambers to Buffalo connection has been repeated many times but I don't see him as being anything more than a stop gap until Hardy or Johnson can develop properly. I truly think the Bills will go into this offseason (particularly the draft) with the desire to find answers at the tackle positions for the long term.
  21. My first choice would be "Another OT" but if I have to choose, I'll go with Tebow. Maybe turn him into an H-Back or something.
