  1. Chris Simms is the homeless man's version of Alex Smith. Which I think makes him a hobo.
  2. I think Mitchell is safe for the time being. If the Bills suddenly pursue an OLB in free agency (Porter, Ellis, etc) THEN Mitchell needs to go into full panic mode.
  3. YA RLY! http://files.myopera.com/drlaunch/albums/37656/ya-rly001.jpg To be honest though, I live in constant fear of a Buffalo collapse. They're in a good spot right now (record-wise), but with 4 more games on this road trip, a powerplay that has fizzled out, Ottawa and Montreal closing in fast and an enigmatic offense...I dont know, as a Buffalo fan I'm just expecting the worst.
  4. The Sabres need to MAKE the playoffs first before we start recruiting new members.
  5. 7 year deal, 100 million dollars.
  6. I'd take him in a heart beat. Rotate Kyle Williams in to give the big guy a rest and draft a solid NT prospect in the 3rd or 4th rounds to groom. Boom, problem solved. We know the Bills are looking to upgrade their D-Line when they brought Kennedy in...I wonder if they even have a Plan B now that Kennedy re-signed.
  7. Not sure why Cleveland released him, but being released by Denver was a pretty big surprise it seems considering how good the 2009 season was for him. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/35821873/ns/...ts-player_news/
  8. Agreed. Unfortunately for us, Poz has to play inside under a 3-4 since he lacks any real pass rushing skills. Mitchell though does have a bit more speed and could stick with TEs. To be honest, I'm excited to see what Maybin can do at the other OLB spot if we can actually round out the other 3 positions to the best of our ability.
  9. Finally! I've always like the way Andra Davis plays the game. Which, of course, means he'll sign elsewhere tomorrow.
  10. Completely disagree about Quinn, even at that price. I was terrified the Bills were going to make a play for him and then add a 2nd QB via the Draft, further complicating the QB position. However, I too am envious of Holmgren's ability to get rid of the garbage. Wish we started doing that (Roscoe...Donte...Kelsay...looking at you guys).
  11. Agreed. I'd love Bulaga and the best available OT in the 2nd. If we are truly going to be in full rebuild mode, lets at least get our O-Line taken care of this year.
  12. My Siena Saints get Purdue...not bad, they have a shot at least.
  13. Kamerion Wimbley, another Browns first rounder, just got shipped out to Oakland. Not sure how much sense that one makes, Wimbley was actually one of the few talented players Cleveland had on Defense. Still though, you have to admire Holmgren stockpiling picks like this, he's clearly trying to re-make the Browns from the bottom up. Hopefully that image involves one Donte Whitner.
  14. I think Jimmy Clausen is the guy they are targeting (and the guy Holmgren has wanted all along). Let Seneca Wallace be your "placeholder" for a year while Clausen develops.
  15. Thank God...get that temptation away from Nix as fast as possible.
  16. Pretty spot on if you ask me. Bills are, at this point, doing nothing to make the team better.
  17. He may match last year's INT totals in one game if Delhomme starts.
  18. Man...we horrified Kennedy into re-signing fairly quickly. I'm sure the Bills will trot someone unimpressive out on Monday or Tuesday, only to have them go somewhere else the next day.
  19. We can only hope the rest of the NFL catches the stupid and lets Bulaga fall to us. Iowa O-Lineman have a strong history of producing at the NFL level and Bulaga might be one of the best of them.
  20. Swing and a miss again from Buffalo. Story of the last two offseasons. They really should be going hard after Ian Scott. He played NT in San Diego last year when Jamaal Williams went down and did a very good job. Also has a lot of starting experience under his belt with Chicago.
  21. Better than someone else pissing on your shoes. In public. At the library.
  22. He could actually bring something to this team, therefore we'll pass on him.
  23. Andra Davis plays his butt off on every play of every game. Would definitely like to see him come here. I think he may be a ILB in the 3-4 though.
  24. Actually, Wade Smith was the one who got the text message sent out and a front splash on the website about his visit. Cornell Green barely got a mention (aside from Chris Brown's blog) before he signed.
