  1. I'd still like to see them do a little bit more work, pre-Draft. Go after a Nose Tackle just to give that spot some veteran depth to go along with a rookie draft pick. (Guys like Gerard Warren, Ian Scott or Hollis Thomas spring to mind) Try and pick up an interior O-Lineman for the same reason. (Chester Pitts, Ben Hamilton or Randy Thomas). I think it's pretty obvious that the Bills are looking at their OT and QB issues to be solved via the Draft.
  2. Wow...what a great day for our Defense, found two starters. I'm really interested to see what the Bills are going to do about their NT spot. There are some decent FA options out there (Gerard Warren and Ian Scott). Maybe another visit later on this week? We do know they are interested in O-Line depth so it wouldnt surprise me to see another Guard come in for a visit either.
  3. Darn...we could have used him.
  4. Huh...so apparently "taking some time to discuss it with me family" meant...45 minutes. Color me genuinely surprised (and happy).
  5. D'oh! Too early in the morning for me Thurman.
  6. We'd still get turned down. "Gee Mr. Nix, I'd love to come in and play DE for you guys...but I got this bus boy job at Friendly's all lined up..."
  7. They're both going to take time with this decision so...that means neither will be Buffalo Bills. Looks like it's the Draft or Bust.
  8. Just an update, Andra Davis stated that he's going to take his time and discuss things over with his family before he makes a decision. (In other words, Bills offer wasn't good enough). No word yet on Edwards...but I'm willing to bet that neither guy ends up a Buffalo Bill. We just can't seem to close these FA deals over the last two years. If people were mad about Jimmy Kennedy not signing, imagine the reaction this is going to cause.
  9. Jay, thats already a classic thread. Such wisdom.
  10. Totally a meet and greet unfortunately Ugh...I think we're going to let both of them go without contracts.
  11. Dwan has been one of the more sought after free agents so far...been on a few visits already. Pay the Buffalo premium and lets keep him here.
  12. I think they will definitely try to make that move. Don't count out Cleveland either, I could see them making a play so they can groom a QB behind Wallace and Delhomme.
  13. I feel disappointment creeping in this afternoon. Its going to be another meltdown on The Wall.
  14. Good for McCoy that he has some wheels on him then. You're right though, he'd get murdered behind this line
  15. Not a bad scenario. I know a lot of people don't like McCoy but I see a lot of the same negatives thrown at him coming out of college that were thrown at Drew Brees coming out of Purdue (height, injuries, etc). I also think they'll end up with two 2nd rounders, but I think its because they'll end up trading away their 3rd and 4th picks to move back into the late 2nd, or they'll trade a 2011 draft pick to move back in.
  16. Ah Buffalo. Railroading their running backs since 2000. If I were Fred Jackson I would watch out, we're sure to turn on him soon enough.
  17. I really do think the Bills are targeting a QB in the 2nd round. I think their first choice is Tebow, but with the possibility of Cleveland taking him in the 2nd a few picks above them, they are exploring their options.
  18. A rare free agent hit for Russ. Drayton's brought nothing but good things to this team. I also enjoyed his Twitter discussion on the Alabama 3-4, shows that he's clearly excited to run the Defense this year.
  19. I dont think anyone denies that Spiller won't be a great back in the NFL. His speed is outrageous, his juke moves remind folks of Barry Sanders coming out of college and on top of all of that physical skill he has one of the most solid characters in the entire draft. It still would be a bad pick for Buffalo. Even if they end up trading Lynch, you can find a decent backup RB in the 3rd or 4th round or via FA . Fred Jackson doesn't have a lot of NFL mileage on him for a 29 year old and will be effective for at least the next 2-3 years. We desperately need help along the Offensive and Defensive lines, and its clear that Nix knows this. Spiller is going to be a damn good NFL runningback, it just wont be for us. Lets hope it's not for the Pats, Jets or Fins either.
  20. Definitely would be a DE in the 3-4...still though, not a bad mid-round pick.
  21. I know that Andy Reid has been the one putting the breaks on any McNabb trade talk and will probably continue to do so until after the Draft. I dont think he moves for awhile, if at all.
  22. I'm also positive the Bills have tried. It takes two to tango though.
  23. I'm not a big Cody fan...but that block is re-god-damn-diculous.
  24. This one is going to sting the most when he leaves without a contract and chooses another team.
