Ooooooo...I actually thought Mutcher might be a 6th or 7th rounder. Definitely thought he would be drafted. To be honest because of our lack of depth along the interior O-Line, both him and Allen have a decent shot at making the squad.
Most teams carry 3 DTs (if not 4). So you'd have Henderson, Troup and Williams. At the ends you'd have Dwan and Stroud starting with Carrington and Spencer Johnson backing them up (once again, normal to have 2 backups). McCargo gets released since he doesnt fit the system anyways. I dont see what the problem is.
I would still be all over this like stank on a prostitute.
Henderson has GREAT size to play the nose and would allow us to move Troup in gradually as opposed to throwing him to the wolves in Week 1. He would provide instant leadership in the locker room and I think would love to be reunited with his buddy Stroud.
If I were Buddy I'd make this happen by Thursday, this move makes shockingly too much sense.
So clearly that means the Bills wont do it.
I'll admit it. I'm somewhat distressed over our QB situation coming down to the same guys as last year.
Then again now the check down might be our deadliest weapon.
Warren just signed with the New England Patriots about an hour ago. I think we're set on Defense though, I cant imagine Nix signing anyone there.
However, we definitely still need help along our O-Line and at WR. I'm very glad to hear that Nix is preparing to dip back into the FA pool...thats something past regimes have failed to do post-draft.
Laveranues Coles, Flozell Adams, Levi Jones (damnit, I'm sticking with him all offseason until someone gives him a chance!) and Shawn Andrews could all help.
And, dare I say...Marc Bulger?
Hands down, the NFL Channel.
ESPN acted like this was their first broadcast, graphics didnt work right, interviews were done half-assed, talent didnt know when the mic/video was on them.
