  1. The legend continues.
  2. At this point, and with who we have on the roster already, I feel like re-signing Donte is more trouble than its worth. Going into the Draft, I was a huge fan of how DaNorris Searcy plays ball and was very happy to see the Bills snag him. In two years, he'll be our starting strong safety. Hell, maybe in one year.
  3. Heap would be a great addition...he's still got 2-3 years left in him and would FINALLY give us a weapon over the middle. Would also be a nice leader on the offense. My first TE target would still be Boss (due to potential and youth) but I certainly would not be upset with Heap as a consolation prize.
  4. That was BY FAR the most angry I've ever been while watching a Bills game. By far. There's a hole in the wall from my fist at my parent's old basement that proves it. The throwback game was more of shock, and I was but a young 5 year old Bills fan for our first Superbowl loss. But man, I remember that Patriots/Bills fiasco like it was yesterday. The article doesn't mention how the pass interference call was also incredibly sketchy. Two calls that were so shockingly biased against the Bills, one had to wonder if Coleman was in on the take.
  5. Someone needs to convince me on Stocker. Athletically, he's got it all...but man that production is scary low.
  6. I firmly believe that Matt Spaeth will be a Bills target in the offseason. He's arguably the best blocking TE in the NFL and I think his receiving skills are actually underrated. He's lost in Heath Miller's shadow out in Pittsburgh...I'd throw him a decent salary (not top 10 TE by any means, but middle of the pack) to lure him to Buffalo. That's not even considering the Whaley connection either and what he can do.
  7. BIG difference between Maybin and Miller. Miller has been performing at a high level for close to 4 years...with the last two seasons in a row being considered stellar. Maybin only had one season of decent college level play. I'd prefer a guy like Fairley or Dareus with our #3 pick, but I wouldn't complain over Miller.
  8. Carson Palmer doesn't help the Bills get any better as a player...BUT...this does really help our draft position if Palmer is indeed traded. That would make the Bengals need to draft a QB much higher...say if they have Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert targeted at #4 now and a QB starved team like the Vikings or Niners also want that same QB? Well now the likelihood of them trading up to #3 to jump ahead of the Bengals just increased dramatically, didnt it? Lets keep our fingers crossed he's not on the Bengals roster when the Draft rolls around.
  9. Mark it down. The Bills will either sign Chad Pennington in the offseason and go into next year with Fitzpatrick, Pennington and Brown as our QBs. OR The Bills will draft Christian Ponder in the 3rd round and go into next year with Fitzpatrick, Ponder and Brown as our QBs.
  10. Love Wilson in the 2nd...I think that would be a fantastic move.
  11. Thats the guy I want at #3. Impact defensive player who is versatile enough to play in whatever formation our hybrid defense lines up in. Put him at DE in a 3-4, move him inside to DT in a 4-3. Perfect player for us.
  12. Looks like Gailey tentatively expects Merriman tomorrow. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/11/04/merriman-could-arrive-friday/ So...thats that.
  13. Take it with a grain of salt, its obviously being re-tweeted everywhere now. I'm somewhat skeptical considering one of their last tweets mentioned that Childress was going to get fired. http://twitter.com/FantasySpecial
  14. Can the media send us all emails with middle finger smileys if the Fins beat us today? Would seem only fair...
  15. Oh I'm ready. Lets get this season rolling!
  16. I actually think the exact opposite, we're the ones who are going to get crushed. I see Brandon Marshall putting up huge numbers and our ground game to give up big chunks of yardage to Ricky Williams in the 4th QTR. Something like 34-7 in favor of the Fins. At that point, all of the experts will proclaim themselves to be right after Week One, The Wall turns into a suicide watch with at least 5 "I'll NEVER BE A FAN OF THE BILLS AGAIN!!!!111" posts and Trent Edwards gives his sad face interview for another game. I hate being negative guys, but I do believe it when the people who study this team for a job say we are in for a Hindenburg of a season.
  17. That wall has got to be pretty covered by now. I know none of us want to believe the "experts", but they'll end up being right.
  18. 3-13. We get wins over Jacksonville, Detroit and Cleveland (who, by that point we may be fighting for the #1 overall pick). There is simply just not enough talent on this team to compete in the NFL. Throw in a new coach, new offense, new 3-4 defense switch and a run defense that cannot stop anyone and you're looking at three wins. I know a lot of people want to prove all of the "experts" wrong, but I think looking back on their predictions we're all see just how right they were. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
  19. If The Bills manage to get 2-3 wins in the first four games, I will eat my hat with a generous helping of hot sauce. Mark that down. Its not going to happen, thats not channeling my inner-expert or anything, the Bills just are not talented enough to pull that many wins out against the early part of their schedule with such experienced teams. At best, they start the season 1-3. Odds are better they go 0-4.
  20. Wait...TEs are allowed to go farther than 10 yards down the field?
  21. I'm guessing they go with another O-Lineman...either Calloway or Hennessey
  22. Good for him, he's a very nice special teams player too.
  23. Congrats to you my friend!
  24. I'd rather have Locklear and then cut Green...the guy just hasn't shown me a thing. At least Meredith and Wang have some upside (I will pistol-whip the next person who makes a phallic joke out of that) and are worth developing. By the way, I also see that Seattle released OT/OG Mansfield Wrotto today. He's only 25 and has started a handful of games already, plus he's got the versatility to play Tackle or Guard. But here's the kicker, he was a Gailey recruit at Georgia Tech. I wouldnt be surprised to see a guy like Cary Harris or John McCargo get kicked to the curb tomorrow and we end up claiming him.
  25. More power to Bell if he landed a roster spot as a UDFA with the Bucs. He's out of our division and out of our conference. I wish him the best (heck he may soon be starting with that trainwreck of a RB crew).
