  1. Not too shabby. There's our WR upgrade, still a LOT of work to do though.
  2. I think the Bills ATTEMPT to sign Vincent Jackson and Mario Williams but fail in both attempts. The money will be good, but both players decide they'd rather go somewhere with a better chance of winning. Sad but true. The Bills instead turn around and sign WR Robert Meachem, DE Jeremy Mincey and DE Trevor Scott. All middle/lower tier FAs, but guys who can contribute.
  3. Big fan of the Curry pick, the more I study up on him the more I realize he's perfect for our style of Defense.
  4. I think the Bills sign two DEs in free agency. One guy to keep an eye on is Trevor Scott, formerly of the Oakland Raiders. His first two seasons in the league he managed 12 sacks in spot duty. He won a starting job but ended up tearing his ACL in 2010. He came back but was pushed back to spot duty with the Raiders last year and hardly put up any stats at all. A few things to note about him, if he seems familiar to all of you he should...he played his college ball at the University of Buffalo. He also was born and raised in Potsdam, NY so he has the connections to the Western/Upstate NY area. If the Bills can land a guy like Mincey or (it'll never happen but I'll say it) Mario Williams, I could see them sign Scott to a low-risk deal in the hope he gets his career back on track in Buffalo because he really did flash some great pass rushing skill early on. He's still very young too, only 27.
  5. The free agent WR class is very deep and the WR draft class is above average. Considering the Bills already have a guy they consider to be a true #1, I doubt they trade up for Blackmon. I'm willing to bet they look to free agency for their #2 and not give up any draft picks in the process.
  6. When this trade was announced that was my first thought as well. They clearly want Blackmon but they may have traded themselves out of contention for him. Its still a really good move for the Rams and they are guaranteed to get a good football player, but they may be snake bit in terms of getting their guy at #6.
  7. I'm willing to bet good money that Robert Meachem becomes our #2 receiver. He's a speedster with a lot of talent but hasn't played up to it. I'm not going to say he's my ideal FA signing, but he's the most realistic "Bills choice" guy I can think of. I would also say that Garcon fits that bill but there are rumors he was looking for a FA contract bigger than what Stevie got so you can cross him right off the list for the sheer insanity of that if its true. Also keep an eye on Manny Lawson, the OLB out of Cincy. I think the only "big name" FA the Bills go after is one of the CBs, Carr or Finnegan. I doubt they get either, but they'll at least attempt it.
  8. San Diego is going to be hot after the same pass rushers we are.
  9. There are a few no brainer picks in this draft. If Claiborne falls to #10, you absolutely take him there.
  10. Sign that man up. If we can shore up one of our glaring weakness before the opening gun of free agency even sounds, I'm all for it.
  11. Hooray! Pete's back! Now seriously, just give Frank Reich a job as an assistant somewhere on the staff and we'll have his super comeback powers on reserve whenever we need it.
  12. Man o' man do I dig that mock draft of yours. The only thing I'd change is move the 3rd round TE into a 3rd round OLB. I feel like we'll re-sign Chandler and pick another guy up in FA, so I don't see that as being a big priority. But I agree with every other pick, especially the Crick selection in the 2nd. He's going to be a monster in the NFL.
  13. Believe it or not, he ran for Congress. http://jayriemersma.com/
  14. While I'm not that big of a Ingram fan (he's a good player, I just think we can do better at #10 overall), I've had Crick pegged as our second rounder for awhile. That man was born to play football, crazy intensity...the type of guy who can fire up any defense when you plug him in. If it weren't for that injury, he'd be a top 10 lock.
  15. Henry Ellard just got let go as the WR Coach for the NY Jets. Before that, he coached the Rams WRs. Might be a good fit here.
  16. I hope that Chan Gailey has something real special cooked up with Brad Smith for this game. To be honest, its kinda weird to be this pumped up over a Bills/Jets game. The Post actually had a pretty interesting article a few days ago about how even though both teams have obviously played each other twice a year for four decades, there isnt much a rivalry. When the Jets were up, we were down. When we were up, the Jets were down. Kinda cool to actually get some hate flowing.
  17. Wow, what a bush league move. Take a guy who your own team cut no less than two months ago and promote him to captain just to stick it to his previous team? I don't even know what that is...vindictive? Immature? You don't see us making Brad Smith a captain, do you?
  18. Love the fact that its back in San Andreas, that was the most rewarding open-world design in a video game I ever played. I'm sure the updated version will be even more amazing.
  19. You mean this hilarious piece of video?
  20. Its funny, I had a conversation with some friends last weekend about how similar Romo and Rivers are but we came to one glaring difference between them. Romo will just flat out lose games for the Cowboys with his boneheaded mistakes. Rivers wont really hinder his team with mistakes, he just can't win in the clutch. Whoops. Turns out all I had to do was wait a week for Rivers to single-handily lose the Chargers a game.
  21. From the Jets starting Guard Matt Slauson (when asked about the Jets position in the AFC East): "The Pats lost, the Bills are about to lose and then we've got the Pats."
  22. I think Kyle sits another week, just to rest up. Especially with how well Dareus did at NT against Washington. I'm willing to bet that Jones, Bell and A.Williams all return to practice this week but only A.Williams is activated for the game against the Jets.
  23. Moats needs to be a focal point of this Defense. I just re-watched the game and he was constantly getting into Beck's face. His stat line may not show it, but he was a huge reason why our Defense played so well yesterday.
  24. The Jets Defense is scary, they can cause a lot of damage (especially with two weeks to prepare) so our offensive line is going to have to play its best game of the season. When the Bills are on D, the gameplan is as simple as it is obvious. Force Sanchez to make mistakes. He's been prone to do that, so multiple looks on D and plenty of early blitzes will hopefully rattle him
  25. Beautiful. Let all of their fans, players and coaches think that.
