  1. Raise your hand if you'd like to wait 2-3 years for an O-Lineman to develop while Bledsoe continues to get pounded. ... Yeah, didnt think so. O-Lineman in the Draft are fine if you want some depth because high O-Lineman selections usually turn out decently, but can we really wait that long? I say get our O-Line improvements in free agency with vets who can just step right in and help. This team is ready for a SB run next year, and I'd rather not waste it by plugging in some rookie and hoping for the best. In the draft, I'd snag the best available CB with the 2nd rounder or just take the best player available. If he's a lineman (like if Munoz falls), then that would be okay...I just dont want to see us stretch and take an OT or OG because we NEED to, I'd rather see us take care of the O-Line in free agency and then see what happens with the Drat.
  2. In the offseason, our "first day" signing should be Bubba Franks if he makes it to free agency.
  3. I'll be there too, with 7 other people. Good to know there will be a heavy Bills fan contigent in the hotel, just in case I need a gang to humiliate my Steelers-supportin' friend who is tagging along.
  4. A 2nd is about 50/50 for Travis, if you find a really ignorant, needy team you could dump him off. Remember, how many people here kept saying we couldnt get a 1st out of Peerless until the good ol' Falcons wandered into the equation? A 3rd rounder is more likely...maybe a 3rd and a 5th to sweeten the deal.
  5. Maybe they have Georgia Tech right where they want them?
  6. Just figured I'd put out a VERY early mock draft for the Bills. Before I post, I just want to say that this draft is dependent on a few things occuring in this offseason. 1: Re-signing Pat Williams. 2: Addressing any O-Line improvement via free agency. I dont think the Bills can really afford to wait for a drafted kid on the O-Line to develop at this point, and with a plethora of good free agent O-lineman hitting the market, I see the Bills snagging one or two to bolster the line. So here is my first mock... 2nd rounder: Antonio Perkins, CB out of Oklahoma --The Bills would do well to snag Perkins in the 2nd round. The kid had a leg injury to deal with this year, but is a very solid CB who could develop into a stud. The Bills need a good 3rd CB now that Vincent is over at FS, and also Perkins would be an excellent insurance policy in case Clements bolts for free agency in 2006-- 3rd rounder: Walter Reyes, RB out of Syracuse --Even if the Bills dont trade Travis Henry this offseason, they still need some running back depth. Reyes, at the beginning of the season, was considered one of the top five RBs in the country but suffered through some injuries, terrible play-calling and ineptitude of his O-Line. I think he'd be a great pick in the 3rd round to give the Bills some much-needed RB depth-- 4th rounder: Stephen LaFors, QB out of Louisville --With Matthews signed to a one year deal, getting another young QB in Buffalo would be a wise depth move. Losman can take over the backup role to Bledsoe (unless he unseats him in the offseason), and LaFors can be groomed to be our 3rd QB-- 5th rounder: Richie Incognito, C out of Nebraska --Just some O-Line depth, it seems that must of the Bills backup centers are players who only play center in emergency situations. Drafting a real center would be a smart move-- 6th rounder: Diamond Ferri, S out of Syracuse --Showed some real versatility this season, we know that Mularkey & Company loves that-- 7th rounder: Chauncey Stovall, WR out of Florida State --Take a chance on a kid who really has underachieved in college--
  7. It is a good point though, Bledsoe needs a good TE to chuck the ball to when he's feeling pressured. Thats why I think one of our big FA moves this offseason should be to take Bubba Franks from Green Bay if he actually makes it to the free agent market. We should wine him, dine him and sign him on the first day. Imagine how much better this offense would be with Franks involved in the passing game. Not too shabby of a blocker either.
  8. I wonder what Ben Coates is doing these days...hey, if Neon Deion can come out of retirement, why not a guy who DIDNT destroy his body with drugs?
  9. I was thinking the same thing...Brady got away with a LOT of stupid passes this year, he just got caught last night. Perhaps it was just going to the well too many times, or maybe it's something deeper that has to do with Weis' departure.
  10. Damn, we are just going to have oodles of TBDers there, arent we?
  11. I'll be there with 7 of my closest friends. Been planning this trip for awhile now...even more exciting now that the game means something. Whats even better, one of those friends is a Steelers fan, so he's in for a treat.
  12. If we finish off the season at 10-6 and dont make the playoffs though, I dare anyone to say that it was a failure of a season. This season, even if it ended today, has been nothing but a success for the Bills in terms of the way they all turned it around. I dont think any team could have come together and dominated the way this team has.
  13. Jeebus, I'm somewhat shocked by the people here. Has this season taught you NOTHING? This team is never out of it. The Jags will lose one of those games, I have a very good feeling about it. The team that could keep us out is the Ravens. If they win tonight, we'll need them to roll over and die against the Steelers and Dolphins. Yikes.
  14. Honestly? Yes I do. The Jags are very inconsistent this year...they'll go into GB and win and then they'll lose the next week to the Texans. I truly believe that.
  15. That works for our advantage though. If we are still in it by Week 17, we'll beat the Steelers for sure...this team has pure energy in their veins.
  16. I agree with that...if the Ravens get by the Colts, we'll have to hope for losses against the Steelers and...and...The Dolphins. UGH. We need Peyton & Company to come up big tonight.
  17. Joe...calm down. On any given Sunday, ANY team can beat ANY other team (and that includes us against the Niners this week). I have a really good feeling that the Jags will lose in one of the next two.
  18. Its all good people, dont worry...Jags will lose one of their next two games, they've had mucho bad karma about them lately. Especially with that cheap shot today. Now cross your fingers about the Ravens, because we really have to hope they lose...or we are totally !@#$ed.
  19. Raiders can take out the Jags in Oakland, I feel confident about that.
  20. Yeah it really sucks that the Jags are going to win this game, but they only have to lose one more, I wouldnt be surprised if the Texans upset them next week. We just have to hope Baltimore loses since they have to go down two in order for us to get in. And they WONT lose to Miami at the end of the year.
  21. Totally agree. I just think that if the Ravens win tonight, then we are officially screwed.
  22. We NEED the Ravens to lose tonight. If the Ravens win, then our playoff hopes are essentially over because they wont lose against Miami at the end of the year.
  23. How so? They only have to lose one game. Man, if its one thing that we as Bills fans have learned this season is NEVER give up hope.
  24. Well, its over now.
