  1. Thats the thing, I dont think we can...we might be able to lift it at some point next season, but we'd still be !@#$ed in the salary cap department. I mean, if you can just lift the tag whenever you want, why doesnt every NFL attempt to trade disgruntled players or guys who want too much money? I dont think you can just lift the tag whenever you feel like it.
  2. The HUGE problem is that if you tag him and cant find any suitors for him (which is likely considering a franchise tag means he has a top 5 contract, plus the fact that whatever team we trade him to would have to work out their own deal for him, and that the FA market already has a bunch of solid O-Lineman available), then the Bills would be burdened with a one year deal for an insane amount of money...thereby eliminating any chance of any other upgrades we'd be able to do this offseason. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and let a player leave...happens to every NFL team. I personally dont see Jonas here next season because I think he'll demand some outrageous cash amount and be laughed out of TD's office like Peerless was.
  3. The one thing that most commentators and NFL observers agree on is that the teams that have been able to consistently stop Vick, those being the Eagles and the Bucs, do so because they have amazingly fast LBs to keep him contained. Now, lucky for us...we have one of the best LB groups in the NFL. Thats going to be a hot ticket though next season...
  4. Aside from having our first winning season in 5 years, another positive I take from this season was watching the Dolphins crash in the worst possible way. It was fun seeing them just totally collapse and the panic overtake the organization. Actually, another positive was watching these same pathetic Dolphins manage a victory against the soon-to-be SB Champion New England Patriots! I guess on any given Sunday...
  5. I dont think any person is stupid enough to say that the Patriots arent the best team in football. I just laugh at the people who act like they want to mail it in for the next decade because the Patriots look unstopable. The Patriots are an amazing team...but their run will end, just like every other NFL team's run at greatness.
  6. Right on...I consider all of these games bad until the Bills get back home into the playoffs where they belong.
  7. Thats what I keep thinking as well...there will be no pity for them when they finally do collapse.
  8. A show about math! That's a sure-fire hit!
  9. Well, I think a year from now we'll all have something to cheer about...something tells me we'll be making an appearance in next year's playoffs (even if its just a cameo, I think we'd all be happy).
  10. Is that even possible? Even with 2 weeks to go, I havent heard anything about him even being close to start practicing again.
  11. Sadly, it was a pick.
  12. Great minds think alike.
  13. Well its over now...Congrats to the Patriots.
  14. We can sign a decent backup RB this offseason, there are a bunch of them available. A lot of "not quite stars" but still decent players who can fill in when needed. Backup RB is easily the last on my list of improvements needed this offseason (behind two O-Line improvements, a new kicker, a nickel CB and a good 3rd WR).
  15. Go ahead...touch the Nuge...he'll make the kicking game all better...go ahead...touch him <----------------------------
  16. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the Steelers are right back where they started...needing 14 points just to tie. Smart move there Cowher.
  17. Well, time to shut down the NFL since apparently the Patriots are going to dominate the NFL for the next two decades. Are the Patriots good? DAMN good. But they are beatable...hell, Miami proved that
  18. They totally should have gone for it...you still need 2 TDs now to win the game! Plus, the way the Patriots are driving it right down their throats, they should have taken a chance at the endzone...try to take away ALL of the momentum.
  19. The Patriots are far too good...they wont let this one slip away.
  20. Yep. (You know I was only following your sarcasm with some of my own, right?)
  21. Oh clearly LA, its time to just end the NFL right now and award every SB to the Patriots for the next three decades. We dont stand a chance. There is no point to having a season next year.
  22. He's looked like a rookie...cant say I'm surprised at all.
  23. Well they have done it all with the same top 3 coaches in place...taking 2/3 of them away will be an issue. Should be all the more exciting to see if JP leading our offense in the future can make a dent in their armor.
  24. Yeah, I'd easily trade his 15 win record for our 9-7 one
  25. Should be interesting to see how the Patriots do without their two coordinators next season though. The Pats are damn good though, they are a dynasty.
