Isn't Gazoo's helmet in the HOF?

Everyone here knows that I'm a huge Nugent fan, but if the Bills were able to get a new kicker out of Reed, Vinateiri or Feeley, I'd be very happy and hope Nugent lands outside of the AFC East. The problem is I doubt that ANY of those players make it to free agency. The Patriots are going to franchise Vinateiri I'm sure, and the Steelers and the Falcons I'm sure wont let their kickers explore other options and lock them up. I just think that since these teams will try their hardest to keep these kickers where they already are, getting Nugent is just our best option.

I think we do need to pick up another veteran CB...I'm not that comfortable with Thomas as our nickel back and I think that a solid vet could really help solidify our secondary. Getting CB or LB depth can be achieved through FA however, I truly feel that we should pounce on Nugent in the 2nd round...mainly because I cant think of anyone else in the draft that would around by our pick who could improve our team so drastically then Nugent could. No more Lindell screw-ups or piss-poor kickoffs...he'd make our special teams even stronger.

I dont see Nugent going in the 1st round, mainly since this is a solid draft (aside from the crappy QBs) and Oakland isnt around to use their 1st rounder on a kicker this year. However, people are kidding themselves if they think he'll be around past our pack in the 2nd round. I do feel that the Bills will have a shot at him with their 2nd rounder, so lets see if TD's odd view on kickers has actually changed after watching Lindell crap out this season. I'd love to see Nugent on here not only because he is the most clutch kicker I've ever seen come out of college, but Mularkey can now gameplan without having to tack into account Lindell's inabilit to hit anything consistently past the 35 yard line. We wont have to take as many risks with Nugent, who can put games away for us and let our Defense shut the game down and pull out the win.

Miami doesnt have a 2nd rounder, so how would they jump ahead of us to take him? Maybe take him with the #2 overall pick? We'll have a shot at him in the 2nd round...whether or not TD jumps on the chance to greatly improve this team will be left until Draft day. Nugent just proved today that he is the most automatic kicker to come out of college in the last decade.

It'll be a huge screw-up for the Bills and any other team that passes on him if that does happen. I really feel that Nugent is going to be the next Jason Elam, even better than him actually. Lets just hope the Fins or Jets dont get him because he'll make us pay for the next decade if we dont select him. If he's gone by our pick, then I'll just adopt a "so it goes" type of opinion...but if the Bills have a crack at him and pass on it, it'll show that TD once again feels that we can get by with the craptacular play of Lindell and further prove that he, for some reason, doesnt want to improve our kicking game.

I do think that Nugent will last to our pick in the 2nd round, but there is no way that he'll make it to our pick in the third. I feel 100% confident in that fact. If the Bills really want to upgrade the team and give themselves 2-3 more victories next season than they would get with Lindell's half-assed kicking, then Nugent is the way to go.

Good job Clements...I was hoping that Moulds would get the nod too after that first AFC WR dropped out, but its all good.

Bills vs Jets on MNF wouldnt be that bad...we always play good games against them and they are usually very entertaining. Both teams finished above .500 and are in division rivals. If I were a betting man, I'd place money on a Buffalo/NY Monday Night Football game this year.

If we brought Couch in, we'd have to hire a person to follow him around and say "Its okay Tim, you still are a decent QB" after every missed pass he throws since I've NEVER seen any QB get down on himself over the most routine errors.

Baas I think will be gone by the time we pick, but he'd be a great 2nd rounder. Very versatile.

Have you noticed the recent trend in sports to make your logo look more "mean". Hell, the Seahawks logo went from "stoned" to "pissed" in one year!

In the world of Madden 2005 without the salary cap option on, it would be a great move. In reality, it cant be done. Jonas will demand a buttload of cash, and Walter Jones we KNOW is demanding even more than Jonas is. Just would be enough cash to go around. I think TD is looking for Chris Villarial types of players...good, solid players who dont screw up and do their jobs every down. No superstars or prima donnas wanting huge contracts (like that idiot Orlando Pace...20 million dollar signing bonus!? Good luck with that!). Just hard-working players that can contribute.

And where would the Bills find the money to sign both Jonas AND Walter Jones, easily one of the most expensive FAs in recent memory? Tackles do not come cheap, thats for sure. I'd like to see us improve the O-Line as well, but I'd also like to see Williams re-signed and the Bills to bring in a good 3rd WR. Going after Walter Jones essentially kills off any other improvements we would have this offseason.
