  1. I really see the Bills signing Amos Zereoue from the Raiders this year to compete for the backup spot with Shaud. Donahoe drafted Amos in 99, and Mularkey definitely knew how to use him. He'll come relatively cheap as well. It just makes sense that this guy will be our backup RB this season.
  2. According to the article on the front page, he basically saved us 3-4 million dollars on this years cap, putting us around 12 million dollars under! Good job Eric! Its interesting because 12 million under is easily enough to re-sign Jonas and Pat Williams...if we want to that is.
  3. Hey now, Todd Collins is a UFA this year! Why draft JP's backup when Collins is available?
  4. This just strikes me as a Browns fan rambling about what he wants for the offseason. We shouldnt read too much into this.
  5. If the mega-old Christie was kicking from the 40 and the sprite Lindell was kicking at the 10, I'd still rather have Christie.
  6. 800K is nothing in comparison to the cap hits we've had in the past. And honestly, if all it costs is 800K to end this horrible Lindell experiment, it'll be worth it. If we go into next season with Lindell's crappy kicking, it'll once again keep us out of the playoffs. Sure, there was blame to go around this season, but can you imagine how much better our offense would have been if Mularkey didnt have to plan around Lindell's inability to hit FGs consistently past 30 yards?
  7. You have to order them from Europe man, you just cant get good eatin' puppies here during the winter. In Amsterdam they have the best eatin' puppies all year round...everything is legal there.
  8. I'd eat a whole box of puppies for Drew Brees...sadly, that wont happen because we dont have a 1st rounder to give up for Brees.
  9. Its all good for me...my anaconda dont want none unless you got buns, hun!
  10. Thing was, Damien Woody was all talk...he never really had a dominating season. Andruzzi has played consistently throughout his entire career...him and Villarial would give us two very nasty Guards.
  11. You're right, I forgot about their University of Washington homefield...wait a second, thats even worse! That means Lindell has crapped out for NO reason whatsoever. We definitely need an upgrade at kicker this offseason, and I fear that TD will take on his "kickers are a dime a dozen" attitude and let Lindell continue to lose games for us.
  12. The following kickers are UFAs: Adam Vinatieri Wade Richey Morten Anderson Todd Peterson Jay Feely Steve Christie Jeff Reed from the Steelers is a Restricted Free Agent. Out of those kickers, Vinateiri clearly will be franchised by the Patriots and never see the light of UFA. Jay Feely might be worth a shot, but do we go with yet another dome kicker since Lindell bombed so badly outdoors? As for Matt Stover, he's not a free agent...not according to the 3 lists of FAs in 2005 that I found, but who knows if he's in danger of being released. Thats why I say this...behold, the power of Nuge...after Vinateiri gets taken off the market, I think Nugent is better right now than any of those other free agent kickers. In fact, when he gets drafted I think he's already one of the top 10 kickers in the entire NFL, he is that good. The kid was that lights out in college, amazingly clutch and he played in crappy weather with Ohio State. Just seems like a perfect fit to me.
  13. Garcia's best days are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind him. The guy can still come off the bench and provide a spark, but I feel sorry for whatever teams overspends for him. I was laughing when the Browns took him last year, and I'll laugh when a team is dumb enough to take him this year.
  14. They also have a better kicker than us...and a better QB...and a better pass rush...
  15. 2.5 million sounds about right...maybe stretch it up to 3.5 million, but thats the limit I'd go. More curiously, how much money do you think they are going to restructure Moulds to? He's making 8 million dollars now...should be very interesting to see how much they knock him down to.
  16. Wow...when the Cards are rejecting your QB, you have some issues.
  17. Different environment altogether. I know that when the Red Sox won the championship, their plane in was swamped by people. Boston is...and always will be...a Red Sox first kinda town, but that doesnt mean that people there dont care about the Patriots I'm guessing. I can safely say though when the Bills win that first Superbowl, the airport that the Bills fly back to might as well close down for the day, because the people that will pack in there to see them will be amazing. Look at what we did to Canton when Kelly got inducted...and that was just for a 20 minute speech!
  18. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/moore/211126_moore08.html Oh please, lets not have this be the start of him trying to weasel his way back into the NFL. Lock up your daughters and NFL photographers, Ryan Leaf is prowling a campus near you!
  19. Just for your avatar Johnny: Do Not Tip Or Rock As much as I resent being told not to rock, I enjoy the "death by Coke machine" symbol for one primary reason: the guy looks like he's about to get super powers. A machine full of chemical-laden soda is about to hit him, and meanwhile mysterious lightning bolts are shooting towards his head. Isn't that pretty much the Flash's origin? No doubt the combination of electricity, caffeine, and caramel coloring will transform him into the Carbonator ("The World's Bubbliest Hero!"). He'll team up with Deep Fry, the Pounder, and Las Ketchup to form the League of Noshers and okay I'm done with this now. Ahhh bookofratings.com...good for so many things.
  20. But...but...that was the before time...the long, long ago. That was before Brady, before BB...so therefore that didnt exist. The years of the Pats wanting to move out of Mass were lies, designed by the enemies of the Patriots. The Patriots were always dominant and never had years of pathetic play. Eurasia has always been the enemy and we will move onward to victo...whoops...sorry...got a little Orwellian there.
  21. Are you sure it wasnt Rob Johnson himself? So THATS where he has been hiding.
  22. Great post, really made my morning to read about the good things that are going unreported. Although just for reference, the spouse must have been mistaken (as she is unsure in the letter, its not a big deal) about the name of the security guard. "Abdul" as itself can never be a name in Arabic. Neither can other stereotypes like Abu, they all are denominations of family, not individual names (Abu, for example, means "father of..."). I have a roommate who grew up in Syria, so I pick up a few things here and there. The college system works!

  24. He is indeed a UFA and I suppose I wouldnt be angry if he came to Buffalo. I'd like to see a few improvements on the O-Line before we look to the TE spot, but he definitely wouldnt hurt the team.
  25. Freddie Mitchell is a huge idiot...I think the general "smack-talk" rule in the NFL for a WR should say that you need to have at least ONE season where you went past 600 yards. By that standard, Josh Reed is even given permission to smack talk, so you know how low the bar is set. However, if that were the criteria, Mr. Mitchell couldnt say anything because he has yet to attain that milestone.
