Seriously, I have the same problem... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Time Warner Cable. Get off your lazy butts and get the NFL Network...they'll drop Empire but wont fill it with a new channel? When they could EASILY pickup the NFL Network and get better viewing ratings? Its crazy

Let them have Jennings...I've personally viewed him as someone that Bills fans get all creamy over, but the rest of the NFL views him as just another LT. Not great. Not bad. Just...okay.

Bills prepared to let Jennings, PWilliams walk

Yet he did do it with Moulds and Schobel...not like he never does it. -
If he's healthy, Neil would be an amazing addition to the Bills. Basically a stronger version of Villarial. Although the injury has me worried, especially if the Broncos are willing to cut ties with him since he was one of, if not their best, O-Lineman. I like Hamilton as well.

Gerrard Warren allowed to seek trade
BillsGuyInMalta replied to JP-era's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well see, I have no problem with smack talk, but you have to earn the right to say it. He's basically the DT version of Freddie Mitchell. All talk, NO production. If the Browns dont want him, then thats a sign that nobody should. Our DTs are fine I think, even with Pat leaving. -

Gerrard Warren is one of the worst DTs in the NFL, attitude-wise and production-wise. Send him to the Dolphins. I dont think we sign or draft a replacement for Pat Williams since we already are overflowing with DTs on roster. I'll be content with having a Training Camp competition between Anderson and Edwards for that DT spot next to Sam Adams. -

I'm all for being fair to Pat Williams, but 5 million bucks a year? Thats twice as much as Sam Adams is making, and I'd be willing to say that more teams fear Sam Adams then Pat Williams. I think Pat's demands are completely outrageous, and he's going to sacrifice winning games for more money. I'd love it if he stayed, but not for that price. I actually want to see the Bills pick up some more help for the O-Line and an upgrade at TE...something that could never happen if we re-sign Pat Williams at that contract demand he has. To me, I'd rather lose Pat Williams and hand it off to one of our backups then make no upgrades to the offense this offseason. -

I cant really say thats true since about half of the time Pat Williams isnt even in the D-Line since the Bills rotate their line so much. He's a valuable part of it, but definitely not the main focus of the Defense. I came away very impressed with Ron Edwards this year, he got to the QB with some great speed and was a fantastic complement to Sam Adams when they pulled Pat for a breather. Of course there will be some drop-off, but because the rest of the Defense is so damn good, I dont think it will be back-breaking. -
Thats exactly what I'm thinking too. Let Jennings walk, sign a stud LG like Wahle, Rivera, Neil, etc and then get an upgrade at TE (Marcus Pollard would be fantastic...sure hands and great blocking skills to plow the way for Willis) and we are all set.

I'd much rather see the Bills go out and re-sign Phat Pat...but its not the end of the world if he leaves. Sam Adams is dominant and Ron Edwards really came on this year and would be totally capable of stepping up. PLUS we didnt draft Tim Anderson on Day One last year to ride the pine his entire career, so he could step and take Pat Williams' place. As for Jennings, I'm much more content to let him walk if Shelton is on his way. I cant believe that he wants as much as Diem got, I dont blame TD at all for refusing to pay that. If both of them leave, we have decent replacements already on roster (or soon to be arriving on roster). Then we can spend that money on a FA Guard and our O-Line can be dominant. -
I was thinking the same thing earlier today...whats even worse, Time Warner Cable in the Albany area totally refuses to give me my NFL Network...

The head coaches and GMs were all there, TD and Mularkey just made themselves available to the press before the other ones did. Thats why I'm assuming they used their quotes because it was a pretty generic interview. They could have been talking about any disgruntled player it seemed.

Mike Alstott? I have always been a HUGE fan!!!

I'm still waiting on Billy Volek to get his locker... -
Its only because TD and Mularkey were the first coach/GM at the Combine.

At least Bills4ever was hilariously inaccurate about everything. -

Molson sucks! -
I'm cool with that as well. I think the Bills only have enough FA money to seriously improve either the O-Line or the Guard spot, and I figure whatever position Donahoe chooses to improve upon in FA, then we draft the other position with our 2nd rounder. For example, if we sign Raiola or Rabach (sp?), then we draft Baas or Johnson. If we sign Rivera or Neil, then we draft Baas or Spencer.

Bills Notes from the Indy Combine
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Buffalo Wing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure...we could draft Maurice Clarrett...if we wanted to shoot ourselves in the brain in terms of locker room unity. That guy is an immature cancer, let the Fins or Raiders draft this bum. Plus, people forget...he had ONE good season, and it was almost three years ago! When he did get on the field after that, he couldnt stay healthy. If people want an immature, injury-prone, one-year wonder jackass, then Clarett is your man. -
I think the whole "Tampa Bay" being a finalst was just agent talk by Shelton's representation to try and entice Tampa to step up to the plate. Doesnt look like it happened, so they went on with their trade with the Bills.
-
And speaking of Guards, Dan Neil just got released from the Broncos. Just add another one to the heap of excellent guards available. If TD wants to seriously improve the line, he has a lot of options to choose from. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=1999040 From 1998-2003, Neil started 92 straight games for the Broncos and helped five different backs rush for more than 1,000 yards.

I cant wait for March 2nd, I think that TD strikes on the first day with a FA Guard to complete the O-Line. Then the rest of the offseason can be spent looking for depth and a good backup QB to our liking.

One FA I'd like to see in Bills gear

I'd much rather see Phat Pat re-signed...although I have to admit, the fact that Hovan is clinically insane does make him somewhat appealing... -
Drew has got it good yuh know?

Yes, because Drew shares none of the blame for ANYTHING...EVER. -

Unless he plays Washington in his first game...in which case it will be painfully clear to GW how to beat Bledsoe... -
Drew Bledsoe Press Conference 4:00 pm ET

I've been playing backyard football with my buddies for the past 3 years now, and we needed a word count to say before you could rush in and blitz the QB. So we settled on "mugwump" which prompted the saying "If you cant find an open receiver by 5 mugwumps, the play is dead already". Fast forward to the Bills vs Steelers game this year, which had me with 7 of my closest friends at the game, most of whom play in those backyard football games during the spring and summer. After Bledsoe's fumble for an TD, one of them turns to me and said "That was waaaaaaaaay more than 5 mugwumps..."
