Crennel was very smart to get that bum off his team as quickly as possible. -
Bears now front runners for Shelton?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills will still end up with Shelton, I feel confident that this trade will get done. -
Hey Frank, how would you like to have your career FURTHER linked to McGahee's? Nah, I'll pass on that walking injury.

First time in 4 years that my college has EVER cancelled classes...hoorah!

So whos TD's first signing going to be in FA?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vincent would be a great addition to the Bills...it would definitely piss off a lot of Steeler fans too because they were REALLY high on this guy since he dominated this year at Guard...they just dont have any money under the cap to re-sign him. Instant upgrade if we snagged him. -
EASILY David Baas. He'd be a huge upgrade to our offensive-line. That and I think a player like Roscoe Parrish (who I really like) will still be around by the 3rd round considering how well some of the other WRs have done at the Combine.
-
I'm with you on that LA. One more season with a new QB and we'll see how Reed can do. We have other positions in need of an upgrade (Guard, TE, Backup QB) that we could better use our FA money for instead of signing a worthless player like Terrell. I'm not against drafting a WR on Day Two of the Draft though.

The thing is, Incognito has a REALLY bad temper, and not in a way that shows itself positively on the field. He gets held out of games and has a history of being suspended due to him getting frustrated at himself or his teammates. He is a huge question mark coming into this draft. Oodles of potential, but a pea for a brain. Kind of like the Andy Katzenmoyer of Centers. That, and he isnt even the best Center in the Draft. Not even the 2nd best! I'd much rather have Chris Spencer from Ole' Miss or Ben Wilkerson from LSU over Incognito. Both of them are very good players without the crazyness. Spencer in particular reminds me a lot of LeCharles Bentley from the Saints. Very versatile player who is a quick learner and could dominate his first year as a pro.

If I remember correctly, the first interview the Bills did this year was David Baas...OooooOoOoOoo.

Which Travis deal would you like to see?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the Shelton deal, just because it'll give us a damn good player to replace Jonas and save us money on this year's cap that will enable us to go out and sign a FA Guard. -
So it looks like the group managed to pull the gun away from JP-era's head this morning...
-
Oh no...we better do all we can to keep Lindell!
-
I like it a lot Scott...really makes things nice and clear on the main page.

Reyes = 5th round draft pick or lower. Not spectacular at anything, but worth a shot as a backup.

If we have to lose PW, what about Chis Hovan
BillsGuyInMalta replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was 4 years ago though...since then his tackle numbers have slowly decreased, his attitude has increased, and nobody in the NFL is scared of him. I doubt they ever were. Pass on this guy, our replacement for Pat is already on roster. Hopefully no Bills fan is seriously considering having this lump on our team. -
Whos the first new Bill we sign?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to JP-era's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think its going to be a TE. Not sure who, but I think TD strikes early since the TE pool is rather shallow (what with Franks getting that franchise tag). -

But we dont have the money to do it. Basically all we can afford (If the Travis for Shelton deal goes down) this offseason is a starting guard, a backup QB and a TE. The rest goes to our RFA tender offers and draft picks. Even if you substitute a DT for that TE upgrade, you still dont have enough cash to do it since most starting DTs contracts will be much larger than what you could get a TE for. Ron Edwards or Tim Anderson are fine and dandy with me. We cant keep our young guys from the field...let them fight it out between the two of them and I guarantee we'll see little drop-off in the overall defensive play. -
Surtain to KC for a 2nd rnd pick?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Charlie68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All right...good job there Kansas City. Thats one good defensive player...you got 10 to go before you can win a playoff game again. -
Mike Williams on NFL Network..
BillsGuyInMalta replied to slvlurph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not much at all, still a top 10 pick. Mike Williams, unlike Maurice Clarett, actually made an effort to keep in shape during the offseason and ran great in practice run a few weeks ago. Also went into the practice leaner and with less body fat. Mike Williams probably wont make it past the Vikings now that they own the #7 pick. -
For the Nugent fans he was 12/15 but
BillsGuyInMalta replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed...lets take a workout and judge him as worthless. Lets ignore his 7/9 FG rate this season from 40-49 or his 5/6 from 50+ yards that he actually did during games this season. Nugent is going to be great in the NFL, the next Jason Elam in my opinion...if a team passes on him because of a Combine workout, then they'll be making a huge mistake. -
5'7"!!?? Holy crap, that kid probably wont get drafted at all. I'd guess the only thing he could do in the NFL is return kicks...he would flop badly in the NFL as a WR, thats for sure. I'm willing to give Josh Reed one last shot at our #3 guy, and take a WR on Day Two to try to beat Aiken or Fast Freddie out.
-
I had the Bills taking him in the 4th round in the latest Draft I'm putting together...sadly for us, that'll push him into Day One for sure.

Seriously guys, Warren has shown NOTHING in the NFL other than a bad attitude and his ability to be inept at all aspects of football. Not exactly the type of guy you want on your team. I dont see TD signing any DTs if Pat Williams leaves. We have other priorities that we need to address in FA (Guard, Backup QB, TE) and wasting money on a DT would just be foolish considering we already have Sam Adams and a replacement in either Ron Edwards or Tim Anderson already on roster. Let the two of them fight it out in Training Camp to see who starts at the other DT spot, and lets save that money and pick up a free agent Guard to solidify our O-Line. -
Exactly...anyone who thinks we can move forward with Lindell on this team is making one of the biggest blunders of the offseason. Lindell NEEDS to go, the guy struggles with 27 yarders and forces Mularkey to plan around his crappy kicking and pins him to taking drastic chances when any other team would just get the safe 3 points from their reliable kickers. We cant go into 2005 with him on our roster, we need an upgrade. Whether it be Nugent, Vandy, Mare, etc...we need to replace Lindell.
