  1. No, thats what I'm doing today
  2. Uggghhh! Dont f'n remind me! I mean, that guy we signed to replace him isnt nearly as talented or as productive... (short pause) Mwhahahahahaha! Hey, maybe thats a good omen for us! Whenever the Jets sign a player from us, his replacement in Buffalo turns out to be a huge star.
  3. Thats what angered me the most about Jonas...sure he played when he was a little dinged up, but he never really showed to me that he was anywhere near as tough as some other players on the Bills. If the Jets want to blow their free agent load for Jonas and Pat...let them...Dont you think that our guys know how to handle them better than anyone?
  4. The Posey deal was announced very early in the morning, as he was signed and delivered by 12:15. Last year with Villarial, it wasnt announced until later that afternoon, so I say if we havent heard anything by 4pm, then TD is still workin' them phones.
  5. Bah, the way that some Jets fans here are talking up Jonas Jennings, apparently he can play both tackle positions at the same time.
  6. Up until last year, I would have been totally against replacing Pat with Ron Edwards. But you are so right, Edwards really was a play-maker last year for us when we plugged him in at DT, which dictates to me that he is ready for a starting role. Why sign a DT when we have one who has done everything he can to show he is ready to dominate for us?
  7. To me, all of this will be settled when the Bills get LJ Shelton. Forget what Clayton said, that guy has been wrong so often its not even funny. The Bills would not have sent Henry to Arizona for a visit if they werent confident that a deal could be hammered out. I think Clayton was fed a line in order to use the media as a negotiating tool by the Cards. Methinks its just a ploy by Arizona to get the Bills to throw in a draft pick as well. Whether it works or not is up to TD, but the Cards NEED Travis Henry just as much as we NEED LJ Shelton.
  8. Perhaps Famous Amos Zereoue? Knows Mularkey's system very well and has thrived in it. I would think that if the Bills want to go the FA route to finding a backup to Willis, Amos would be at the top of the list.
  9. Thats around 11 million dollars right there, just in their first season salaries. Plus we have to sign draft picks, which there is no room for in your plan. A more reasonable free agent outlook would be: LT LJ Shelton (Cards are playing hard-ball, but they still need Travis) LG Kendrick Vincent TE Freddie Jones Re-sign Marcus Price I'd be content with that.
  10. Washington Redskins Every player with hype...only to release them a year later. 3/2/05 12:01
  11. Uhhh...thats what they are asking for...the Bills were the only team to offer them a player for Shelton. I'd give up a 3rd rounder for Shelton, no problem...not a 2nd rounder though.
  12. Feel the power of Sape......
  13. I dont think we sign anyone...we didnt draft Tim Anderson for nothing last year. And Ron Edwards really came on in 2004, I think we'll be fine at DT. Save the money for our O-Line.
  14. Smoot smack will be reigning in Buffalo. DeMulling on the other hand is an interesting option. This year's Guard free agents is overflowing with talent and star potential. I'm not worried about having a chance to sign a stud Guard, I'm just worried about having the money to get both an upgrade at Guard and LT.
  15. Wasnt Villarial on the first day of free agency though?
  16. Same here...he'd be a quick strike upgrade to our O-Line...familiar with Mularkey's system...dominated this last year at guard. Absolutely perfect for us, and if we can get him early, he'll have a lower contract than some other FA Guards out there who arent nearly as young or as talented. Still worried about LT now though...but hey...in TD I trust
  17. The Redskins have become a huge joke ever since Snyder took them over...look how many of their big FA moves have worked out...I dont think I can name more than two (and even thats stretching it). They make a lot of noise in free agency, and flop during the regular season. Like the coming and going of the tide.
  18. I'd love to see Wahle in a Bills uniform, but I just dont think its going to happen...he's a top 5 free agent, regardless of whether he plays guard or tackle, and some team is going to break the bank for him. We simply cannot match what some teams will whore off to him. Make him an offer, sure...but dont focus on only one particular FA or you'll be very dissapointed.
  19. Needless to say however, if the Shelton deal is indeed dead...what do the Bills do at LT?
  20. And just wait until that team is not us...you'll see a million "TD IS AN F'N IDIOT" posts shoot up by noon tomorrow.
  21. Oh I totally want a true upgrade at Guard. I was thinking along the lines of Vincent, Rivera, Neil, Hamilton, etc.
  22. JP, are you going to be the one blasting TD and calling for his head when Wahle signs an outrageous contract with some other team tomorrow?
  23. Now we have some serious issues. We have to replace a LT and get a LG with only 8 million dollars in free agency. Thats not good. Maybe we can take one of the Raiders LTs off of them in lieu of a draft pick...it'll help their salary cap woes a smidge, I'm sure.
  24. Only EVERY team in the NFL wants him...there was a great article on ESPN about teams over-spending on the first days of free agency because they panic. I'd love to get Wahle, but there is a lot of other great guards in Free Agency out there. I think the early move is going to be at a position that isnt very deep in free agency. Like TE. That being said, I dont think Wahle signs with Buffalo. Not with the whole Left Tackle situation still unresolved.
