JP Losman is going to talk to the media. Apparently it should be up sometime mid-day. Anyone else hoping that TD says a few things to? Just to update the fans on whats going on in FA so they dont kill themselves.

We dont have to worry...Plaxico only tries half the time, so we have a 50/50 chance that he might not even show up to the game. When Plaxico wants to play...he's damn good...but those moments are so few and far between, he was getting beaten out of his 2nd WR spot by a part-time QB.

Out of curiosity though...would we get any relief by simply cutting Coy Wire? I checked under your page, but it had his old cap # on there...I'm wondering if it could be as simple as just cutting him along with Pierson to free up some money.

Thats the first time I've ever heard anyone use the "salary cap" as an excuse. Damn that TD and teflon behavior...hiding behind the salary cap! Oh sure TD, thats a likely excuse that we dont have any money! Just because we only have a million dollars doesnt mean we cant sign a guy long-term! Players act like they do in Madden, just backload that sucker and we'll be fine. Pay him in fish sticks, that'll work...you just arent being creative...you suck Donahoe! My point is that players are not mindless blobs...they have preferences where they would like to go, and this may shock you, but some of them dont want to come to Buffalo. So blaming the GM is insane because if you were a fan of any one of the other 31 teams, you'd still have the same problems of FAs excluding your squad for another. Its not a case of "ball-washing" TD, its a case of understanding how the economics of the NFL works. If we were 20 million dollars under the cap, we could throw money at players and land them with ease. In fact, we did that when we got Takeo and Adams because we had so much cash to use. We dont have a lot of cash to use this year, so you'll have to be realistic about the free agent goals.

Salary cap! The Vikings were 20 million dollars under and have lots of needs on that team, so they can splurge on FAs all offseason long. If we re-signed Pat Williams, do you know what that would have done to our chances at fixing the O-Line? You have to be smart when it comes to FAs...I know you want the Bills to land every high-profile FA in the market, but a team cannot mess with the salary cap to do it. Look at the Niners. Screwed with the cap for most of the late 90s, and now are the most piss-poor team in the NFL. If you'd like, we can screw with the cap this year, get busted by the NFL, lose all of our star players, go 2-14 and then have oodles of cap money left over to rebuild in 3-4 years when they catch us! It'll be great!

Man, you just hate everything dont you? You really need to calm down man, you are going to blow a nerve. And as for Pete Kendall, he said that the Jets were his #1 choice last year, and at the time we had roughly 1 million dollars under the cap, while the Jets were 4 million under the cap. Kinda hard to make a play on a FA when you have no money. There is that pesky salary cap thing we have to worry about, especially this offseason when we only have 5 million bucks to use on FAs. The problem I see is too many people focus in on one or two FAs and then blow their top when that player goes elsewhere. Its a day into free agency...if TD finishes today with a trade for Shelton and signing Dan Neil, you'll be joygasmic over what he did. Its a waiting game right now. So have an early morning beer and calm down.

I'm not making excuses for the man, I'm simply saying that overreacting after 24 hours of free agency is absolutely absurd. Before you organize your lynch mob, give Donahoe a few more days to piss you off.

Its only been one day...and only Andruzzi and Wahle are off the table. Still oodles of players left. TD has to be smart since we dont have much cap room to sign free agents.

Let me ask you a question. How do you know Donahoe didnt make any calls to get him? Hmmm? I love it how we assume that one day of inactivity means that Donahoe slept in or something. Just because you dont hear about things doesnt mean that TD isnt actively working on signings or trades...none of us have a microphone in his office, so just sit back, relax and see what happens. Some people just need to freak out I suppose.

Or easier, depending on how you look at it...now the only FA RB is off the market, and there are still 5-6 teams needing a RB. Its all perception.

I knew this board would overreact on the 1st day of FA, but this is hilarious. One Day in and apparently we cant move Henry for anything and the Bills will never get a free agent.

I never thought that Wahle would be an option to us...he was a pipe dream by people who thought we had an unlimited budget.

Trust me, LJ Shelton is the best possible option for us at LT. Without him, our O-Line situation is absolutely terrible. To think we would HAVE to start a rookie 2nd round pick on that O-Line if we cant figure out a way to get a new LT.
