  1. If we were playing Madden, with the salary cap off, your plan would be fantastic.
  2. I'm waiting for Clumpy to crunch the numbers on Wire's newest contract to tell us how much cash we can save by simply dumping him. I think both he and Pierson get the axe...to be honest, Rashad Baker outplayed Coy Wire as a backup safety...and that is a sad state of affairs when an undrafted rookie is looking better than a 3 year veteran.
  3. If Law signs in Buffalo (he wont, but I'm humoring people who looooove rumors) than its a clear sign that TD doesnt think he can re-sign Clements.
  4. What makes ANYONE think that Teague can be a decent LT? Its like people are just mixing and matching our O-Line and figuring it will work. At least Shelton has played LT for awhile in the NFL...Teague had what? A few games around 5 years ago at it, and...from what I've been told...was a pretty bad NFL LT. I want someone who knows what they are doing at LT, not a converted center.
  5. Some people just WANT to believe things. Let them have their fun. I'm amused by all of this...it shows just how desperate we all are for Bills FA news, we are willing to believe something on a BB.com message board.
  6. Signed with the Jets today.
  7. If we can get a free agent LT...then I suppose we can get an upgrade at Guard with our 2nd rounder in the Draft since this is a pretty strong year for O-Lineman and use the cash for someone like Ty Law. BUT, we need a new LT or this season is going to be a very painful one for poor JP.
  8. I'd break down and cry if that ended up being our O-Line. Yikes, how sad is that lineup.
  9. And if we get Law, the worst O-Line in the NFL would get worse since we'd probably kill any chance at landing even a halfway decent O-Lineman with the money we would have to give Law. If we had Minnesota money to spend in FA, I'd totally be calling for a push to sign Law. But until the O-Line problem is solved (most notably, the LT spot), I dont think the Bills can be tossing their money at other FAs.
  10. Ahhhh the message board at BB.com...its essentially the ProFootballTalk.com of Buffalo Bills message boards. Lots of fluff, very little intelligence. I'm guessing that this is just a rumor started by some anxious fan wanting to hear SOME news this offseason. At least its something to talk about though!
  11. No, no, no...just a potential backup for when Travis leaves. I'm not THAT crazy.
  12. Thats the thing...the best offer they got is a 2nd DAY pick from the Bears...they really dont have much bargaining power either. Its basically a situation where the deal is likely to happen, its all a matter of who panics first. Do the Cards panic now that all of the FA RBs are off the market and the Bennett deal was shot down? Or do the Bills panic and give an extra pick in order to solidify their O-Line?
  13. How about Famous Amos Zereoue? He'll come cheap and is familiar with Mularkey's system.
  14. Lets hope this is just a rumor...we dont need Ty Law.
  15. What KIND of 12-pack are we talking here? Imported? Domestic?
  16. Looking at this year's draft class, there is some solid O-Lineman in the 2nd round. I'm not sure if I want to draft one because we have to plug him in immediately into the starting lineup, but if we have to we'll have some good selections to choose from. I particularly like Tackle Adam Terry from Syracuse or, as MileHigh said, Chris Spencer from Ole Miss is also a damn good prospect.
  17. *shudder* You know, I bet there ARE actually people who'd rather see huge free agent moves in the offseason, then a sub .500 season and high ticket prices.
  18. I'd give up a 5th rounder for Shelton if thats what it takes to seal the deal, just because then we'd have enough cash to go out and get a LG and complete the line. Then in the draft... 2) Best O-Lineman available 3) RB 4) QB 6) S 7) WR Having an O-Line of Shelton, Vincent, Teague, Villarial and Williams sounds a heck of a lot better than an O-Line of Teague, Tucker, Draft Pick, Villarial, and Williams. If the Cards say they want a draft pick, I think a fifth is well worth it in order for us to help our O-Line
  19. And the Redskins keep spending.
  20. I probably chucked it, but I was aiming at JP-Era...I throw like a girl. (I keeeed, JP...I keeeeeed)
  21. I'm no ICE flip-flopper, but even I'm occasionaly wrong
  22. Uhhhm...apparently I cant change my mind? Thats a new rule.
  23. I've definitely changed my mind...that was before I realized how piss-poor the LT market is and the lack of cap space we have. Is it okay to change your mind?
  24. Are you kidding me? If we managed to do all of that, we'd have an A offseason. I honestly dont see how we'll be able to sign a LG and a LT, let alone getting a TE and backup QB of McMahon's caliber.
  25. I'd do that...Henry and a 5th rounder for Shelton is just fine and dandy for me.
