  1. Coles never struck me as a stud WR. He seems better than some WRs, but Clements will shut him down easily. I actually thought Nate had more trouble covering Santana Moss because Moss had deep speed that really pushed Clements sometimes...but now that Coles is back and Moss is gone, Clements can easily take care of him.
  2. I hear they like Trent Dilfer.
  3. If the Bills pick up any FA RB, its going to be Amos Zereoue. Cheap, reliable and familiar with Mularkey's system. May have even been drafted by TD as well...need to brush up on my Amos history.
  4. I still dont understand why the Bills would even WANT Ty Law, so I'm assuming the rumor is false.
  5. It was not specific as in what round, but it was reported earlier this week that it was a "2nd day choice". The Bills can definitely top that, I'd throw in the 3rd rounder straight up for Shelton.
  6. If you are registered at the site, you can check out all of his archives. There is another cartoon, I think its called Politcally Correct or something, where the Poston Brother's return when Kellen Winslow is in a hospital bed and the Postons demand that the doctors treat him as the Chosen One.
  7. The deal was BS...just a rumor started by a poster with less than 8 posts.
  8. Starting a rookie LT in the NFL is quite possibly the most dangerous thing you can do. Robert Gallery, a natural at the LT spot, was instead given the RT spot this season and he was the #4 pick overall. If the Bills think they can pick up a LT in the 2nd round of the draft and plug him into the starting lineup, then we are going to have some painful moments next season. The best thing they can do is just get another veteran OT...Shelton would be great, but who knows where he is going.
  9. Munoz will definitely be around by the time the Bills pick in the 2nd, his stock has really dropped over the last few weeks because of concerns over his string of injuries. I see him as a 3rd rounder at this point...whats really hurting him is that the O-Line is really deep in this year's draft, and why would one gamble on Munoz when they could draft a healthy player like Barnes, Britt or Terry and get the same level of talent? Munoz only hope to improve his stock is to have a good individual pro day.
  10. Bye-Bye Coy! Bye-Bye Pierson!
  11. Go banana! (My other favorite Ralph quote)
  12. Backload the contracts, cut the players after 2 years so they never see the cash...thats what they've been doing for a long time now.
  13. Thats why I figure offering up a 3rd will entice them because the best they've gotten so far is a "2nd day pick" from the Bears. We can top that. We obviously like Shelton, or we wouldnt have brought him here on a visit. The Cards dig Henry, or else they wouldnt have had him come to Arizona. It just seems to me that this is so close to being finalized, it'll happen after both sides realize its in their best interests to do so.
  14. Just a thought...but what would people say if we offered up our 3rd rounder for Shelton this year, without Travis Henry attached to the deal? If the Cards are really sour on Henry refusing to play until he gets a new deal, why not just go around it and give them our 3rd rounder this year, pick up Shelton, and then ship Henry out to another team and hopefully get a 3rd rounder back?
  15. Well, we all knew that Shelton was on his way out. Its just a matter if TD can step up and claim him. As I said yesterday, I'm willing to part with a 5th rounder and Henry to get Shelton, even with today's Gandy signing.
  16. By the way Clump, any idea yet how much money we'd free up by releasing Wire under his new contract?
  17. Oooooooo was that a diss towards John Clayton and his "sources"? I say we organize a street fight between the two of you for training camp activities this summer. Great work as always Clumpy.
  18. Never...F with the King. On a side note for all of you Bruce Campbell fans, he has a new book coming out called "Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way". Somehow having sex like Ash is mighty disturbing to me...but also amazingly cool.
  19. *sniff* I've been here for 2 years and I've never had any reaction from the newbies like Darin gets.
  20. Yeah, lets kill this rumor before it starts. It is ONE poster saying that he THINKS that if Law signs in Buffalo, then Clements SHOULD be traded. No sources, no scoops...just an opinion from one poster who has less than 100 posts. So dont go freaking out people. By the way, if anything is reported on BB.com message boards, disregard it. I've never seen so much garbage on a message board before.
  21. If the Bills were only under the cap by 600,000 as of this morning, how were they able to sign two UFAs this afternoon? Especially when we found out that Holcomb is going to be making around 1,000,000 in 2005? ESPN is wrong, yet again. They are great when it comes to reporting late-breaking news, but when it comes to team specific details, they have no idea whats going on.
  22. Man, we got him for insanely cheap. Maybe thats what TD was up to the last 2 days...a drinking binge with Holcombe, where he talked him down to that scratch of a contract.
  23. Its all about the market value! TD's an idiot!
  24. Bu...bu...but...we didnt have any free agent visits planned! How can we sign anyone?
