  1. The only thing to account for such an increase would be if TD reworked a few deals and didnt make them public. Not a big surprise to me, he apparently reworked Schobel's deal at the end of the season and didnt make it public until March. I'm still nervous about the Shelton deal though...I understand why Arizona would want to keep it under-wraps so nobody jumps up ahead of them and takes Pac-Man or Rolle (whoever they have targetted) but I just wish we knew for certain what was going on.
  2. Either the picture was taken on a day off, or the Cards were playing the Bills...
  3. The one thing that Hearst does have that I'm sure fans in Buffalo will love is an amazing amount of tenacity and heart. I believe he's the only player in NFL history to win comeback player of the year not once, but twice. If he signs, I guess the Bills just got lazy and figured they'd bring in another #20 to fill Travis' spot since they'll just tear the "Henry" off the back of the jerseys instead of ordering new ones.
  4. *doing his best Homer Simpson impression" NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRDDDDDDSSSSS!!!
  5. Yeah seriously, we called dibs. How dare the Bungals not recognize the time-honored and holy practice of "dibs"!?
  6. How does that make you believe that Shelton IS NOT involved? All I've heard the last few days and weeks is that the Shelton deal is still on the table, and the Bills said that Shelton ALONE wouldnt be enough to get the trade done. Meaning they want LJ Shelton in addition to something else. Seems to me that if Kirwan is indeed correct, a deal has been worked out with Shelton and Henry involved.
  7. My comment had absolutely nothing to do with Travis Henry as a player...what I meant was that considering the Bills would manage to pull out not only a player for player deal that would fill out O-Line out and get rid of a player who no longer need (not saying anything bad about him mind you, just saying we have a better option on roster), not to mention move up 10 spaces in the draft doing so, it would be a fantastic act of negotiation on TD's part. In the same way that some Henry haters need to reel themselves back, I'd say that the same can be said about some of Henry's supporters who jump on people for even the slightest jab at #20.
  8. If he's there, definitely. If not, I think the Bills go for a CB.
  9. Man, TD would have raped the Cards if they pull this off.
  10. Sadly, I didnt get to go to any games growing up, my first game I ever attended was a 9-6 Bills victory in 1997 against the Dolphins. I remember it being a horrible game, both in terms of play and the weather (it was pissing down rain). But the Bills won, so that of course was worth it. It was also Alex Van Pelt's first ever start for the Bills I think.
  11. "I refuse to live in a land that stops us from marrying our cousins!"
  12. Just saw that its a one-year deal...thats not too bad then, clearly the Patriots didnt have THAT big of a brain fart since even they seem reluctant to committ long-term to a guy who has been a mental midget in the NFL so far.
  13. I'm very surprised at this signing. At least with Corey Dillon, he was an malcontent about his playing time but wasnt a total waste of a human being. Terrell on the other hand is known widely as a total jerk and used to pick fights with the other Bears WRs in training camp all of the time. Maybe Brady can calm him down or something...he strikes me as a very anti-Patriots type of player.
  14. Definitely Adam Terry...I like Chris Spencer, but Terry has some serious talent. I dont think he'd ever slip to us.
  15. The Broncos seem to be obsessed with signing/trading for players who are overrated and have flopped badly in the NFL. I'd check on their GM, make sure he isnt bringing them down from the inside. Courtney Brown and Ron Dayne on the same team? Who can show up at camp overweight and demonstrate inept football skills the best?
  16. I think a CB will be picked on Day One, but not in Round Two. We still need work on the O-Line, so we take the best available Tackle or Center prospect available to us, then in the 3rd we take a CB. I think the Bills can land Antonio Perkins in the 3rd round, who has some serious talent. Would also give our special teams an even greater weapon.
  17. I definitely think that the Shelton for Henry trade will get done, but I still see the Bills taking an O-Lineman with our 2nd rounder. To me, a stud Center like Chris Spencer would be an ideal fit in our offense. Let him battle it out with Teague in camp, and if he cant beat him out then at the very worst we have even more depth to our O-Line.
  18. I think in such a deep RB class, we'll draft McGahee's backup somewhere in the 3rd-4th rounds.
  19. I'm not that comfortable taking a CB with our 2nd rounder, not when our O-Line still needs some serious work. I think I'd be receptive to the idea if we can pull off the Shelton trade, but if neither side budges over the trade then our hand may be forced and we'll have to take an O-Lineman with our 2nd rounder. Still might be some good CBs left in the 3rd though.
  20. We apparently brought Jones in for a visit and told him that we were looking for more of a blocking TE than a receiving one. My guess is that they'll draft one in the later rounds.
  21. You should start...its fun! Ya Travis lover. (Took me awhile to figure out the most perfect insult for you VA)
  22. If those options were left (and I'm with you Astro on taking Spencer in the 2nd) I'd actually go with Castillo. Now, I honestly think that our DT spot will be filled by Edwards this year, but I would be amazed if a stud like Castillo was around by the time we pick in the 4th. So, I'd take the best available player.
  23. I agree...10 extra slots higher in Round 2 doesnt do it for me...just give me an extra 4th rounder and LJ Shelton and lets just move on.
  24. He might have to negotiate then because we could be left with a converted Center at LT if he doesnt. I suppose I'm just one of those in the minority who would rather just have the straight up deal, Henry for Shelton. Playing games like this might have a big pay-off in the end, but it also gives us an equal shot at coming out with nothing...or having another team swoop in and take Shelton from us while TD is sticking to his guns and demanding more.
  25. I'm sure the Shelton deal will get done...one of the teams will buckle.
