  1. Its a lame opener...no real storylines or reason to get excited, other than Losman's first start will be a home game.
  2. Wow...that would explain why he looked so dominant at times. Welcome to Day Two, kid...you just blew millions of dollars off of your contract for that one.
  3. Damn, McGahee is all over the place!
  4. Who hasnt played LT in years...and from what I hear, was quite poor at it in the first place. I'm not impressed...I'd rather have a player to man the LT spot who actually PLAYED the position recently.
  5. And the late-night shows have their material for the next two weeks.
  6. I agree with my Bruce Campbell-avatar brother. If the Bills pass up on Shelton and we have to go into next season with a converted Center at LT, I'll be upset. AND we'll have a malcontent RB on roster.
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2035099 Hill goes to the Raiders...this is a good sign for us.
  8. With the schedule coming out SOMETIME this week, everyone use their psychic powers and predict what our first game will be. Do we open at home? On the road? Against the AFC? The NFC? Luckily the field has been narrowed down due to the NFL already announcing the Opening Weekend games...so vote away!
  9. On the main page of TBD, at a luncheon on One Bills Drive today: Donahoe says that a one-for-one deal, involving Travis Henry and L.J. Shelton, with Arizona is dead. The Cardinals would need to offer more than tackle L.J. Shelton to pull Henry away.
  10. If they start bringing in one or all of the three RBs for pre-Draft visits, it'll definitely kick the Cards in the butt.
  11. Castillo is probably the only DT I would want to see the Bills take in the 2nd. I'm amazed so many mocks have him lasting to our pick...I watched Castillo play in person and that kid is a monster. I'm not a big fan of drafting DT with our 2nd rounder, but if it ended up being Castillo, I'll be smiling after his name is read at the podium.
  12. ...free agent mega-star Kyle Vanden Bosch, who just signed with the Titans. Do I even need to say how DOOMED we are without him?
  13. There is nothing wrong with complimenting another guy in that way. If Fan in SD said something along the lines of "Check out Jash Stamer's huge bulge"...then we'd all have reason to question his motives...
  14. I suppose we'll see if this guy is full of BS or not in the next 2-3 days then...
  15. Thats what we call a "crap" rumor. I'm actually somewhat ashamed of the Bills fans who are on that board, they give the rest of us bad names.
  16. Thats why I said I was "rethinking" the Bills taking a 3rd string QB in the Draft. You got to follow me here, I'm quick!
  17. Has two rushing TDs today, although a pretty "bleh" day passing by going 9 out of 21 for 95 yards. Still though, he has led his team to a 2-0 record and has been pretty effective in both games. I'm beginning to think that the Bills will just bring an undrafted QB into camp instead of drafting one late because of how Thompson is doing over in NFL Europe. Looks like he could definitely be our 3rd string QB. Plus, he's also the field goal holder...who says 3rd stringers cant multi-task?
  18. Definitely Perkins, I've had him projected as a Bills pick all the way back in December. This kid isnt quite ready to be a #1 CB, but he'd be an elite return man the minute he put on his Bills jersey. One year as the nickel man to let him adjust to the level of the NFL game and he'll be solid to start in 2006. So basically with Perkins, we'd get another superstar special teams player in 2005 and a future starter at CB in 2006.
  19. PULP FICTION: Vincent: And you know what they call a... a... a Ron Mexico in Paris? Jules: They don't call it a Falcons QB with herpes? Vincent: No man, they got the soccer system. They wouldn't know what the !@#$ a Falcons QB is. Jules: Then what do they call it? Vincent: They call it a monsieur with herpes.
  20. That poor guy...going through his life with a name like "Kyle Vanden-Bosch". Thank god he was a football player and able to defend himself, because with a name like that, he sounds like he should be in some basment playing Dungeons & Dragons.
  21. The problem I have with Lenny's rant is that didnt Dennis Green claim in an interview mid-week that the trade is "very close" to happening?
  22. Don't you just hate flip-floppers? Yeah, us, too, except when we are forced to reverse positions on an issue. Like the much discussed trade of Buffalo Bills disgruntled tailback Travis Henry to the Arizona Cardinals for left offensive tackle L.J.Shelton, who clearly has fallen out of favor with coach Dennis Green and his staff. We reported in this space two weeks ago that the swap would almost certainly occur before the draft. And now? We're not so sure. For one thing, upon further inspection, the Buffalo staff isn't nearly as enamored of Shelton as it once appeared to be. There are some Bills coaches who feel that Shelton would not be a starter in Buffalo, and that he probably would serve only as the team's No. 6 offensive lineman. That means, barring an unexpected event, the Bills plan to move starting center Trey Teague to left tackle, the position he played early in his career, with the Denver Broncos. It also probably means there will not be a straight player-for-player swap between the Bills and the Cardinals. The Bills still feel they need to get something more in return for Henry, a two-time 1,000-yard rusher, who lost his starting job to Willis McGahee last season, and who has vowed he will never again play in a Bills uniform. So if Henry isn't shipped off to Arizona, where does he go? Maybe back to the Bills, who certainly can afford to keep him, especially with a palatable base salary of $1.25 million. Sure, there would have to be some fences mended for Henry to play in Buffalo again. But the rhetoric and posturing of March and April, such as that done by Henry a couple weeks ago, typically is long forgotten [and forgiven] when teams start doling out paychecks. There also is the possibility that Buffalo could find a trade partner other than Arizona, and that notion isn't so far-fetched. A few other clubs have contacted Bills general manager Tom Donahoe and, while none has yet to approximate the ardor of the Cardinals, plenty can happen before the draft. Do not discount teams such as Tampa Bay, Seattle (if the Seahawks suddenly found a buyer for "franchise" tailback Shaun Alexander), Houston and Minnesota as potential suitors. -------- I wish this deal would just get done with so we can all finally relax. And I dont see any way that Henry ends up back in Buffalo next year. He clearly is ready to hold-out, so we move him or we are stuck with his dead weight on the roster.
  23. Thats easily the worst draft I've ever seen...and I've been on the KFFL mock draft forums.
  24. I like that draft a lot. Especially the Bajema pick in the 6th, he'd be a great value there. A lot of people are down on Webster because he had a sub-par senior year, but the entire LSU squad underperformed. He is going to make a hell of a pro somewhere.
  25. Usually there is anger...lots and lots of anger...although last year with Evans, there was a surprisng amount of harmony after that selection, I was surprised. The real freak-out came when Losman was drafted
