The Wall has a serious obsession with midget-mauling...this is what? The 4th time its been posted over the span of 2 weeks? -
Willis McGahee was taken #2 overall. Daaaayyyum. Even I'll admit, thats a tad bit high. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...mock/index.html

50 years of terrible football, and the Cards keep on chuggin' along.
-
I bet he goes to St. Louis. With Turley being shown the door after June 1st, they'll need a new LT.
-
I've scanned over a few Titans message boards, and they all seem to be pretty excited in the idea of bringing Travis back to Tennessee to play football. Especially now with Brown hurt...yet again...

Sporting News has the Bills LB Unit
BillsGuyInMalta replied to pkwwjd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know, but last year's ratings (done before the season started as these ratings are) would have assumed he WOULD have been healthy to play last season, giving the Ravens the edge over us in terms of these paper rankings in 2004. With Boulware (and Hartwell I think) gone, the Ravens LBs would be broken up, leaving us with the best LBs on paper. -
My One Last Question About "Sith"

They should have made Bruce Campbell the young Skywalker. Of course...Bruce Campbell should play EVERY role in my opinion. -
Bills 19th in ESPN Pre-Season Power Ranking
BillsGuyInMalta replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That may be so...at the end of the 3rd Qtr. But lets take a look at the first two QTRs. And then we'll take a gander at the TOP for the entire game. Time of Possession: 1st QTR, Pittsburgh = 10 minutes, 23 seconds. Buffalo = 4 minutes, 37 seconds. 2nd QTR, Pittsburgh = 8 minutes, 35 seconds. Buffalo = 6 minutes, 25 seconds. So by halftime, the Steelers had the ball almost twice the time we did, in only a 30 minute span. You're right though, in the 3rd QTR the balance did shift and our Defense got a chance to rest, and our Offense subsequently blew it. I was at the game, I saw with my own eyes our Offense sputter and flop when we needed them to perform. 3 measley points against backups in the 3rd QTR. And then, in the 4th...the Steelers had a 10:22 minute TOP compared to our 4:38 TOP, pushing the total for the game being Pittsburgh 35:03 to our 24:57. Watching that game, by the 3rd QTR our Defense was exhausted by the extensive playing time they had in the 1st and 2nd QTR. Drew Bledsoe was terrible and couldnt get put together a string of good decisions. Our Defense was bad because they couldnt catch a break in the 1st half of the game. And our Special Teams fumbled far too many chances away. It was a complete team loss. -
(OT) Homer Simpson vs. Peter Griffin...
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Zamboni Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All time = EASILY Homer Simpson. The episode where he is in space and ends up smashing the experimental ant colony or tries to fight with the inatimate carbon rod are some of the funniest moments in television history. However, The Simpsons has gone on far too long. It should have ended a good 5 years ago, and yet it keeps chugging along. Peter Griffin is absolutely hilarious too though...just not as good as Classic Homer. -
J.P. Losman does have the "J" connection working for him. Jack. Joe. Jim. JP. Of course, depending on what "J" connection you have, it could result in a 4-game suspension.

With Boulware gone from the Ravens, I'm not surprised we were rated the best group. I know a lot of people here are rough on Posey, but I can think of at least 25 other teams that would LOVE to have him on their roster. -
David Boston back to the Fins?
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please...David Boston is just another distraction for an already unorganized Miami Dolphins club. Boston is not even a shell of his former self, he's a blob of what he used to be. At this stage in his career, I feel that Kevin Thomas could consistently cover him all day. And trust me, I'd never make that statement when the Fins FIRST signed Boston, but now the guy might not even make the final 53 and will at least disrupt the locker room with his mood swings and acts of violence during Training Camp. Let the Fins sign him, I say. -
Bills 19th in ESPN Pre-Season Power Ranking
BillsGuyInMalta replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think an often overlooked aspect of that game was just how long our Defense was on the field in the first and second QTRs. It was absolutely pathetic...any time they looked like they'd get a rest, our special teams or offense would screw up and send the defense right back out there. While they clearly should have been better against a bunch of backups, its a little more understandable when you realize they had basically played an entire football game by halftime. Dont get me wrong, its not all on the Defense. In fact, I'd put more on Bledsoe than on our D, but it was an entire team meltdown. I dont think it'll happen again though, this team is too good to let that type of thing trip them up two seasons in a row. I think that all of us are big fans of Mularkey and the toughness and creative play-calling that Clements used last year. The only drawback was that they were inexperienced and, at times (like against the Steelers), they made some dumb calls that you can chalk up to their limited experience at HC and OC. With a year under their belts, and two offseasons to perfect their craft, I think we'll be even more happy with the coaching decisions. And as for the #19 ranking...good! I always find the Bills do better when no one expects them to do anything. Hell, the Bills seem to LOVE to go 0-3 and 0-4 and then surge for that last playoff spot, just to get us excited. Besides, some of the teams that are ranked above us, we demolished last season...its all about offseason hype. -
I was thinking...what about Pete Metzelaars or Frank Reich? Any shot of either of them getting on the Wall of Fame?

Add another team to the Travis list
BillsGuyInMalta replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Fred Taylor misses the season, Jax would be a great place for Travis to go and play out the final year of his contract. One year, show the NFL you can be a starter, and then cash in during FA either with the Jags or another team. Of course, all of this depends on how badly injured Fred Taylor is and how much the Jags are willing to give up. I'd ship Henry out for a 3rd rounder, easily at this point. -

Oh man, that stiff-arm is fun to watch...I actually forgot about the Rams "sideline-walk" play that he did, that was great! And to think, he wasnt even 100% when he made those plays. -
BEST VILLAIN OF ALL TIME
BillsGuyInMalta replied to ROSCOE P. COE TRAIN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hitler's got to be the #1 villain in human history, he just drew sick people towards him. And lets not forget Dr. Josef Mengele, the so-called "Angel of Death" for the Nazis...that guy was insane. In terms of movies, hands-down, its got to be Darth Vader. -

MAJOR Announcement from TD

I am somewhat surprised the Bills are breaking out the Throwback uniforms in Game One...I figured they'd save them for a traditional rival, not a team that was created 3 years ago. -
Titans,Vikes,Bears and Bills Have Contacted
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about Steve Christie or Martin Gramatica? Honestly, at least Gramatica has the talent to suceed in the NFL...much more than Brien does anyways. A change of environment (and not regulating him to kickoff duties like Indy did) might do wonders for him. Also, keep an eye out on Paul Edinger...he's likely to be cut by the Bears. -

Its going to be the Celebration of Champions thing. Tickets go on sale this week and I'm sure they'll be whoring it off like crazy. -
And yet, being able to identify Todd Collins makes me a loser in a much grander sense.

That better not be Todd Collins...I can almost make out a #15...

Our options at Kicker....

At this point, would it really hurt to bring Christie into camp to give Lindell a kick in the butt? (Or a kick out the door, which would be my preference) -

I really dislike Rodney Harrison. I greatly respect his abilities as a player, but talk about the scum of the Earth type of human being. Any guy who publically talks about laying out cheap-shots on purpose to hurt another player is just sick.
