  1. Basically the Entry Draft looks like this in terms of talent: 1)Sidney Crosby - - - - - - - - - 2)Benoit Pouliot - 3)Everyone else Crosby is the most NHL-ready prospect in a LONG time, but Pouliot definitely is no bum. I'd love to see him come to Buffalo...actually, when I first heard his name I thought it would be amusing to have him play on the same line as Dumont and Briere, to have a French Connection II line going into the season. Alas, even with a name like "Benoit Pouliot", he is not French Canadian.
  2. For some reason, I woke up this morning with the feeling that Crosby is headed to Pittsburgh. Where they wont pay him and he'll bolt in a few years. But I still would not be surprised at all to see him go to NYC.
  3. I think they might be re-airing it in an hour, after tonight's episode.
  4. Time to fly Crosby to NYC tonight, make out his uniform tomorrow morning, and coach him the rest of the afternoon on how to look "shocked" when the Rangers get him.
  5. So far, everything I've gathered from the early predictions in magazines and talkshows, the only thing holding back the Bills is JP Losman. I always hear they've got a dominating defense, the best special teams in the NFL, a stud RB, an electrifying WR corps and a drastically improved O-Line under McNally. Its just Losman's inexperience and mistakes that will doom us. So by that reasoning, if Losman actually goes out and performs well instead of struggling, wouldnt that mean we are Super Bowl bound? Thats what I love about the national media...everyone focuses on the negative and assumes we'll flop due toe Losman...but what if Losman instead turns out to be great, does that mean they'll start talking about us for the Super Bowl? Probably not...they'll find something else to slam us on.
  6. How about this quote from the "Info Box" on the left of the article? Competitive nature: Stayed up until 3 in the morning to beat his 13-year-old cousin's score on a computer game, then woke her up to brag. "That is not cool. I don't want to be that person. But I am. For whatever reason, it's just in me." We've got to get him and McGahee playing Madden...they'll be some anger.
  7. I am indeed a smartass. Not that a person like YOU could understand me
  8. Bruschi isnt a dumb man. Lets see...risk death on the field, or take a year out to get better.
  9. Nah, that looks pretty accurate to me. He can SEE the field fine...what EA Sports should do is make the button recognition have a 5 second delay. With Bledsoe, you can drop back...hit the "X" button...and then watch him sit there before the pocket collapses around him.
  10. I wouldnt be surprised if the Bills go out and sign a backup RB before the season starts. What I think is happening is that TD is trying to get all of the rookies signed in the next two weeks, and whatever money is left over he'll see what is out there on the FA market. I honestly see the Bills giving Verba a decent offer at some point, and if he refuses we could see that money spent towards Garrison Hearst or Amos Zereoue
  11. Dont deny the deep-threat that is Ryan Neufeld. He'll make you pay with his plodding averageness.
  12. You should read ESPN's outlook on us in their fantasy mag...totally brutal, they pick us apart.
  13. Not that I see. In fact, it looks like he often looks off one receiver and goes to other options in most of those highlights. Especially on that busted rollout play, he was all over the place and still got the completion. Its one thing to escape the pressure, its anothing thing to find your open man while you are running for your life.
  14. The child is now scheduled to hold-out from any press interviews, upon the advice of his new rescuer.
  15. During the last Winter Olympics, a buddy of mine decided to hate a specific country, and picked Sweden. He couldnt think of a good insult towards them, so he just made up his own slur. Every time a Swedish athelete did something decent, he'd yell out "Damn Toobie, go back to your toob country!" Made no sense...but funny.
  16. In the audio interview with TD on BB.com, Donahoe said the Jags NEVER offered a draft pick better than the Titans. All of that 2nd round talk was just that...talk.
  17. I cant remember who it was, but there was a Mets player in the early 90s who was traded for a "player to be named later" that ended up being himself a few months later when he was traded back to the Mets.
  18. Hmmmmmm...well if its a typo, they did it twice in the article.
  19. One more comment from TD, about Ross Verba: Says he did check up on him to see what his plans were, but doesnt anticipate any big roster move between now and next week. Says there are no plans to bring in Verba for a visit.
  20. Another interesting thing in that interview was that he said the Jags never increased their offer, the Titans gave the best offer.
  21. Tom Donahoe has commented on the trade, the audio file is up on BB.com. It is indeed a 3rd round pick. Whats funny is that it seems like TD is already thinking of packaging the picks in the 2006 draft. Says Jax couldnt make up their mind.
  22. Perhaps that "conditional 2nd" was part of the deal? BUT...it probably is just our Front Office being themselves. They dont like too many details of any roster moves to leak out to the press. Just the who and what, never the "How much".
  23. I used to actually do some work with Florio for his website a few years back. The guy really is a jackass. One of things that he had us do was set the post date of his "exclusives" to appear as if he had them posted earlier and scooped the rest of the NFL. In reality, we would just look over the news wires and link to actual ESPN or CBS Sportsline reports and he'd make it look like he got this information from his "inside sources". All he does is guess at what is going to happen in the NFL, just like everyone on this board does. Except he claims to have backing to it...completely untrue. Whenever he gets a story wrong (99.9% of the time) he just never mentions it again. Remember how we were supposed to trade Henry to the Eagles for their 3rd rounder before the Draft? Notice how quickly he tried to bury that? Whenever he does accidently guess a story right, he acts like it was his exclusive, when in actuality he just happened to follow what real reporters had worked on and stole their ideas and summaries of NFL situations. Whenever you see the words "our sources", thats completely made up. He never had us fact-check anything with any "insiders", we just looked over the internet for sources. He's had it in for TD ever since Donahoe was one of the men who spear-headed the NFL suit against Florio a few years ago. Florio ended up having to admit that all of his sources are made up and his site should be just used as a "Humor" site, but that warning he put on his website admitting this was taken down years ago. The guy has no idea what he's talking about, trust me on this.
  24. Lets hope so...I would crap myself with him and Vanek on the same team.
  25. Please. I agree that we need to upgrade our backup RB spot now that we have some extra cash, but NO ONE should be saying we should have kept Henry because Henry wasnt going to play here even if we didnt trade him. Travis pouted and complained his way right out of Buffalo...he could have easily stuck around for one more year, pulled back up duty and then picked his new team with ease. However, he made it clear he was not going to play for us in 2005, so he was basically useless to us in terms of playing performance. We got a 3rd round pick out of a guy who some were calling to be cut. Thats pretty damn good. As much as I'd love to find fault in everything the Bills do, this was a very solid move by the front office.
