  1. Hold on, Hold on, Hold on...SHEESH... We havent even seen what Woodbury can do yet!
  2. I just had my Packers fan friend call me from Maine where he was watching the scrimmage, and he just told me "That JP is going to light the NFL on fire". Looks like he made an impression.
  3. Wow, short work for Holcombe.
  4. Is Aaron Rodgers the QB for the Pack?
  5. I wish I could see, I'm just judging from whate everyone is writing in the scrimmage post since I cant see the scrimmage. He does seem to be meshing well, but Losman apparently looked pretty good to in his first official "debut" as well. Moved the ball, made a few overthrows, but looked to be in total control and never freaked out. Holcombe has oodles more experience that Losman does, so its not a surprise he could move the ball against Green Bay's second string. Losman went against the starters, and did well. Thats VERY promising for only a week into camp.
  6. Stamer looked crazy in camp as well...seems like he is pushing for more playing time.
  7. Nah...not at this point. I agree with you it may not have been a bad idea to let Holcombe and Losman duke it out after we signed Holcombe, but at this point with Losman already deep into the starting role, there is no reason to yank him and kill any confidence he may have built from this scrimmage. I would have been with you a couple of months ago when Bledose got released, but now...it wouldnt make much sense.
  8. Groovy, Groovy...even the backups are producing. Shows how well prepared they all were for this scrimmage.
  9. Were they during the red zone drills?
  10. Great work you are doing by the way on the updates for all of us NFL Network-less pleebs. Thanks to all!
  11. I guess we'll just have to stay out of goal line situations then... Its like in Happy Gilmore where he says "Wow, that was so much easier than putting, I should just try to get a hole-in-one every time!" We'll just shut teams down BEFORE we go into a goal-line stand. All joking aside, they'll definitely put more work into that. Thats what is so good about these scrimmages...it gives you an idea what you need to work on. But damn, if only we had a big ol' pass rushing, space eatin' DT to clog up the lanes on goal-line situations to pair with Sam Adams...hmmmmmmmm...*rubs his chin*
  12. Better cancel the season!
  13. Thats why he's Brett Favre...
  14. Lets be realistic here...like the Packers could move into the red zone normally against our Defense
  15. You cant stop those ex-Vols.
  16. So whats the deal here with the scrimmage...I'm assuming they are doing red zone work right now, how many more series does each team get?
  17. Favre in the red zone = every NFL Defense's worst nightmare. The guy is money, even in his old age.
  18. Come on QB sneak...lets see it...
  19. Thats sadly a problem JP will have for this entire year...if he takes off and runs, people will get pissed at him for leaving the pocket and not having enough patience. If he sticks it out and looks for an open WR, people will get mad at him for not creating something by scrambling. Damned if you do and damned if you dont. He'll have to learn what is the best situation for both.
  20. Honestly, if thats the worst that happens tonight, I can live with that. It seems to me that our Offense definitely has the potential to not just be decent, but very exciting. A few more weeks of Training Camp and 4 preseason games to iron out the kinks until the Texans get a full dose of it.
  21. Thats a shame...now every hater will focus on that throw instead of his play up to this point.
  22. Is Losman still in?
  23. Yikes, that Packers O-Line needs some work. Losing Wahle and Rivera didnt do them any favors.
  24. I'm interested to see how Holcombe will look actually...he seemed to struggle with the long throws in camp so I'm guessing a more run-oriented offense with him behind center. Looking back on your reports, it seems like they had JP doing a lot of throwing...which is good, let him show what he can do.
  25. Thats also very promising...the good news is that running the correct routes by our WRs and better timing CAN be corrected very easily. If JP came out and look flustered and couldnt make any of the passes, I'd be worried. But it seems like he has a nice blend of short-middle-long attempts, as well as scrambling ability. Damn, I wish I could see this.
