Here is my main problem with Kyle Boller. Young QBs struggle at times, thats expected...but the Ravens have been using that "Oh, he's young...give him time" excuse about as much as we did with Rob Johnson a few years ago. Yeah the young QBs of the NFL do struggle, but you also see flashes of solid play sprinkled in their game as well. Guys like Leftwich, Palmer and Manning...they may struggle at times, but they at least demonstrate a grasp of the game and show what they will be capable of in the future. Hell, even Losman and Phillip Rivers have shown flashes of being good QBs and they've hardly played. Boller has not shown anything...ANYTHING that makes me think he will be a solid NFL starter. His play has ranged from "average" to "pathetic" in his career and I see no signs of him getting better.

It'll nice to see diehard Bills fans in that section of the stadium. During the Pittsburgh game, that entire section was draped in yellow.

He's a nice guy and he's good looking...too bad he cant play football. You kinda need that in the NFL these days.

Boller has also been sacked twice and lost a fumble.

My favorite thing about Boller is that he claims he can throw the ball 70 yards when he's on his knees...No offense there Kyle, but if you are on your knees and throwing a football, chances are whatever play you were running is screwed.

Our punt returners (Leonhard and Haddad) have averaged 19.0 yards per punt return. That is just plain joygasmic. Ooo and Woodbury is in! Time for wackyness!

Over at PackerChatters.com, they made a comment that every time the pocket collapsed, Losman squirted out and it was clearly frustrating the Packers starting Defense. Always good to hear that from other fans.

Looks like the Penalty monster has struck again...sheesh...

I wouldnt say "shining"... I'd say Losman is just not screwing up. But, as we've already discussed here, if he isnt screwing up, then we'll win a bunch of games on the backs' of our Defense, Special Teams and #21.

Sadly thats going to be a tough habit to break...Tulane's Offensive Line was described as "high-schoolish" a bunch of times in terms of their ability, so Losman basically was running for his life on 75% of the offensive plays during his years at Tulane. He's got to learn that he doesnt need to do everything by himself now and he can just settle for a dink and dunk pass if its there. HOWEVER...due to his history of running like a madman, I have heard that his pocket awareness is uncanny. Unlike the last few QBs we've had, he can feel the pressure and escape the pocket, at least giving the team a CHANCE to make something happened. Thats what killed me with Johnson and Bledsoe...if guys started getting close, you knew it was all over. With Losman, he's getting away from the pressure and making stuff happen with his feet...very encouraging.

That doesnt make it sound too bad at all...and just thinking out loud here, if he had broken ribs, wouldnt they have brought him into the locker room? It seems like if it was REALLY serious, they wouldnt have had him watching an entire quarter of a preseason game on the sidelines. Still though, we cant afford to lose Moulds now...lets hope he takes a nice 3 week rest before burning the Texans secondary.

Hey, thats some pretty heavy-duty raised stitching on those jerseys. You cant expect Reed to overcome something as powerful as a wardrobe malfunction, can you?

All joking aside, if it does turn out to be broken ribs (as opposed to the reported bruised), you play through that. Moulds is definitely a tough, gritty vet...I'd sit him the rest of the preseason and make sure he's good to go for opening day. Lets NOT have Reed weasel his way into a starting job based on attrition.

I wonder if we all pool our money together here on The Wall, could we buy out Reed's contract? You know...for the good of the team?

Someone better keep the sharp things away from Riddler...from my medical expertise, I believe broken ribs = career ending injury. Strike that...Moulds will be lucky to survive the hour...

How about Quinn Early? He's got to be in GREAT shape after taking a 6-year hiatus from the game!
