  1. Martin Gramatica is a huge mystery to me...for a good 2-3 seasons, he was one of the most lights-out kickers in the entire league. Better than Akers...Better than Vinateiri, Better than Wilkins. And then...he crapped the bed royally in Tampa Bay and got booed out of town. Unless there was some injury I'm unaware of, I cant believe that the talent he had just vanished overnight. I'd love to see him get another shot...but, its far too late in the offseason to do anything about it now.
  2. Doesnt happen often, but I agree with you on Britt. I thought he actually had the potential to threaten to be drafted in the first or second rounds at one point last year before I heard about his injury problems. If he can actually play football this season, he is well worth the look.
  3. Phew, I must have snuck on the special teams unit.
  4. Being old and unproductive will do that to you. I bet he doesnt get picked up by any team and just retires. Hugh Douglas was dead weight on that Eagles squad. Aside from the emotional attachment to him, there was no reason to keep him around. Plus, he's only had 6.5 sacks in the last two seasons...Ryan Denney has the same in the last two seasons. That should show you how far he's fallen, his game right now can be compared to Ryan Denney.
  5. Huh...CBS Sportsline has it for tomorrow. Right on their main NFL page: 9/4: Roster cutdown (53)
  6. I thought the cut-down day was tomorrow at 4pm...
  7. Can he play O-Line? Oh wait...no he cant...
  8. Wasnt Shawn Bryson the other one? How about the Travis Brown fan club we had, just a year ago? And hey, wasnt Leif Larsen supposed to revolutionize the DT position with his amazing Swedish strength?
  9. The way some people are freaking out, I'm surprised we arent seeing any Kevin Thompson supporters. He put up great stats over in NFL Europe.....
  10. Hey, here's hopin!
  11. If Losman gets pulled during the season, not due to injury, I really dont think he recovers. I'm for sticking it out with Losman, he's got the talent, he just needs the experience. If that means another losing season, then so be it. I dont want to see us piss away a potential starting QB for the next decade because some people are getting antsy in their pantsy during his first preseason.
  12. Frez doesnt just hit the "Panic" button, he slams his fists down on it, howling widely. Plus, if you pull Losman now...after only 4 preseason games into his NFL starting career...thats it, its over. You'll totally piss on his confidence and he'll be a wasted pick for us because he wont recover from it. You cant tell a guy that he's your starter and then wet your pants when your young player has growing pains. I'm all for crazy rantings and ravings, but at least wait to do it after the Texans game.
  13. The Green Bay game in particular, I thought he was very effective in leading the team to 3 straight drives that resulted in two TDs and a FG. Also, in the Colts game during the 2nd QTR he corrected his mistakes and was able to move the ball quite well. I understand your fear, but its not ALL bad for Mr. Losman.
  14. I wouldnt say that at all actually. At times I've been very impressed with JP during the preseason.
  15. I think we need balance, but only so much as to keep teams from stacking 8 in the box. If they do try to quell the running game, then hopefully Losman can bomb it out there for Evans, Moulds or Parrish and keep them from crowding the line. But this needs to be a run heavy team, or they have absolutely no chance to win games. Losman, at this point in his career, cannot win games with his arm. In the preseason he's ranged from average (GB Game) to dreadful (Chicago, tonight), and he cant win games by himself. He just cant. However, he can be a Big Ben or Trent Dilfer player where he passes when necessary in order to keep Defenses honest. Thats just my opinion, I'd throw Shaud Williams in there during every game to allow Willis to have a breather but I'd run it about 60% of the time. Perhaps thats why I'm not a coach, but I just dont see this squad having any chance if we dont focus our offense around McGahee.
  16. The Bills, up until the last half of the 2nd QTR, didnt try to run the ball at all, which makes me think that Mularkey wanted to get JP as many throws as possible. Clearly if this where a regular season game, we'd have McGahee run it down their throats for the first two downs, and then a dose of Losman to hopefully get the first down if needed. So I am far, far from hitting the panic button. If our team is still passing this much and is 0-4 again, then I'll get pissed. For now, no use worrying about it.
  17. Any word on Nate? Yahoo is reporting that Garcia got hurt but doesnt mention a thing about Clements, so is that a sign he's okay?
  18. Come on JP, get something positive out this game...
  19. "Roooaaar! Roooaar!" "Come on, you arent actually going outside dressed like that, are you?"
  20. Clearly you didnt keep reading where I mentioned this and said my comment was mostly based on humor. As long as they screw up now and not during the regular season. Or perhaps people really assume I eat puppies. Which, I wouldnt blame you if you thought that, I've let my beard grow recently and I've become rather Bigfootish.
  21. Ouch. Scored on by Shawn Bryson. Lets hope that Mularkey goes crazy on this team after the game...they were punked and humiliated by the friggin Lions.
  22. *sigh*...alright JP, take a seat. You've crushed Bills fans' spirits enough tonight. Let another player have a shot at doing that.
  23. Goldsberry really impressed me at camp. During the 2nd team offense drills, he was rolling out and just nailing the OLBs who came in for the tackles, completely knocked Crowell flat on his back on one play. He's not polished enough yet, but give him a year working in this system and he'll be good to go.
  24. Kind of like Chad Pennington juking Eddie Robinson funny...you wanted to laugh at the time, but your Bills allegiance prohibited it.
  25. The forgotten man Aiken is coming to play tonight. And I REALLY want Goldsberry to make this team. He's going to be a great FB in this league.
