  1. I don't think there is any validity to the "wife has cancer" story, simply because of this: http://blogs.buffalo...oormans-future/ Why would Chris Brown, who obviously would be in the loop about these things, write an article about where Moorman is going to go next if Moorman asked for his release to tend to his wife's illness? The most obvious answer is that Moorman's play has declined over the last few years and the Bills went younger. Simple.
  2. Gregg Easterbrook's column today gave Chan and the Bills some love for the move. Said the football gods should repay them for the classy act, or something along those lines.
  3. I think he said "my bad" because he misspelled Moorman's name.
  4. From Bills Twitter: GM Buddy Nix will address the Buffalo media at 4:30 p.m. regarding today's transactions
  5. Interesting, Gregg Easterbrook references this exact game in his column today. http://espn.go.com/espn/playbook/story/_/id/8421050/the-replacement-referees-losing-control-coaches-players-worse-blown-calls
  6. Methinks the Moorman/Powell transaction isn't the only move that's going to be announced later today... *whistles and walks away*
  7. Man I just...I just feel like this is a move that bites us in the butt this Sunday. Like Powell will shank some punts horribly.
  8. We do have quite a bit of space under the cap for this season and next. I doubt Donald Jones will command a 15 million dollar a year salary that would stop us from signing him and Byrd/Levitre to an extension.
  9. I don't think we stand much of a chance against them this weekend...but man oh man would I LOVE to send them to 1-3.
  10. I sincerely hope they sign one of the tryout WRs. I'd actually prefer Alexander over Stallworth at this point though, as long as Danario checks out healthy.
  11. Hmm. Who would we release to make room for another WR? I'd be very much in favor of kicking Ruvell Martin to the curb. We need another WR threat more than we need an above-average yet injured special teamer with hands of stone.
  12. I've got a bad feeling about this one gents. Jets are in a MUST win situation to prove to the world that this season will not be a circus sideshow. Revis is pissed about hearing how Stevie owns him. Stevie is hobbled and the Bills just dont seem prepared for this. I predicted us to lose this game in the prediction thread so you'd figure I would expect this but man...just a bad feeling all around over this game and our chances.
  13. I feel very confident saying the Bills will get less than 2 sacks in this game. Everyone is focusing on the Jets RT, but what if he plays lights out and negates Mario? They already have all-world center Mangold and a very solid LT in Ferguson. I would be shocked if we get more than 2 sacks in this game as even our D-Lineman have said its going to take some time to start gelling.
  14. I'm going to say Aaron Williams...he's got all the talent in the world and a great attitude to boot. All he needs is experience.
  15. Well...I guess we better win the whole thing this year then.
  16. While this game means a lot to us, I would say it means a heck of a lot more to the Jets. The Jets are a team that NEEDS to come out and prove that the circus atmosphere of the offseason is behind them and they are focused on winning games. They NEED to prove to their detractors that their offensive line is fine, that their Defense is still top notch. They NEED to get this first win under their belt to give Sanchez confidence and fight off the Tebow love. Because if they don't win this game...oohh boy, that's a nightmare for them. Unfortunately that does not put us in a good position against a team that is already starting the season with their backs up against the wall.
  17. ...this might be the greatest commercial I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USHZZ5bwASU
  18. I think it's quite possible we drop the first two games.
  19. To be fair, over the last few years we usually do the opposite of whatever Prisco projects. So good news!
  20. What time is it? Oh yes. Ruvell Martin time.
  21. Here is BB.com's report on this too http://blogs.buffalo...ie-riding-bike/ I think its safe to say we need to start planning for Revis WITHOUT Stevie Johnson. Ugh. Does not look good to me. We'll have to rely on our running backs on this one.
  22. Here's a PFT article about the Giants feeling like their pass rush was held back by the refs. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/06/giants-noticed-replacement-refs-nobody-noticed-their-pass-rush/ Would not bode well for our "new and improved" D-Line if the Jets can get away with holding calls.
  23. Here's BB.com's take on it. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2012/09/05/stevie-limited-in-practice/
  24. Per Joe Buscaglia's Twitter. https://twitter.com/...445867267358721 And a little more info. http://wgr550.com/Stevie-Johnson-limited-at-Bills-practice/9034669?pid=263399
  25. I think what's lost in all of this hilarity is that the Jets are clearly preparing for and looking to compensate for Mario Williams. More power to them in my book. Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams and Mark Anderson will warmly thank them for the lack of attention.
