Well, where I plucked this quote from, it didnt have anything to do with Eric Moulds. I took this quote from the Sam Adams post where I said Sam wouldnt be the only player to be cut today. Thats right baby, I still was right...I guesstimated, just like ESPN.

In terms of Milloy's replacement...Adam Archuleta and Chris Hope are both UFAs. Other SS of note who are UFAs: Marlon McCree (has played both FS and SS) Corey Chavous Tank Williams

Losing Campbell isnt that big of a deal (plus we get a million bucks back in salary cap space). I'm a bit surprised at Milloy though...that means we NEED to go out and find a replacement because Coy Wire is...is...*shudder* Although according to Clumpy, cutting Milloy saves us 2.5 million bucks. So today's cuts gives us 5.5 million more bucks worth to play with in free agency. And I'm using Clumpy's numbers, not ESPN's which seem to be guesstimating.

I guess our "Goodbye Eric" thread was a bit premature.

Who are the Bills?

As a younger fan (under the age of 25)...I remember the first draft I watched all the way through was the draft in which we took Eric Moulds. I'll always consider him a Buffalo Bill, he's someone who will be missed on this team, I guarantee it. Its a shame his salary is what it came down to in the end. Its definitely the right move in letting him go...but still...it does suck. Good luck wherever you go Eric! As long as its not to the Fins, Patriots and Jets...I'll still be a big fan of yours.

I dont think the blood-letting will end with just Eric and Sam, methinks Marv is looking for a complete overhaul.

Uhhm...actually they werent right. They claimed we were only 300K under the cap...and the day after we signed Kelly Holcomb. So unless we used magical money, ESPN was wrong.

What about Angelo Crowell? Do we reward him for his very solid play by sending him right to the bench? He's younger, he's more of a playmaker than Posey is and we re-signed him to a long-term deal. Even though he started at Spikes position last year, I think he desrves a shot at Posey's job and would allow us to ditch Jeff to get some more money to fix our O-Line.

Hey we still have Tim Anderson! ...I'll...go cry in the corner now.

Then we can cut him in a couple of years when his play merits it. As it stands now, he's our best defensive player...and probably will be next season as well.

The reason I think more cuts are coming today is simply that BuffaloBills.com has yet to put out a press release regarding Sam. When Williams got cut, BB.com was all over that, in fact they were the ones who broke the story officially. It makes me think that officially, the Bills are waiting until this afternoon to release an official statement that tells of a bunch of players being released. I think Sam's cut just got leaked a bit early.

Honestly, I'd cut everyone on that list above except for Fletcher. TD brought in name players but few of them lived up to expectations for longer than a single season.

I would love to see Will Shields in a Buffalo uniform. He'd be a quick fix to some of the Bills O-Line problems.

As sad as it is to say, I have a feeling that Moulds will be released today as well. Almost 100% sure on this one. And we can only pray that Anderson and Posey follow him. Anderson for being a walking failure, and Posey for just being painfully average and overpaid. I was actually okay with letting Posey stick around until I learned cutting him would give us 2 million bucks extra to play with...thats money that could best be used on a starter for the O-Line, not a backup LB.

Because ESPN has their numbers wrong...AGAIN. The following people still need to be cut from the Bills: Eric Moulds Jeff Posey Bennie Anderson I'm okay with holding onto Milloy and Vincent for one more year, but if either of them get cut I wont stay up all night crying either.

It was the right thing to do though, he was eating up (no pun intended) a lot of cap space for being on the downside of his career. Bills have to make a DT splash in free agency AS WELL as the Draft in the first two rounds.
